It’s awesome that you and your hubby work on the budget together and are on the same page. My hubby leaves the budget to me but then spends without taking the budget into consideration 🤦🏻♀️
Same 😂
I felt this, but quick to say “idk whatever you think” when it comes to money situations
you wanna know something? i was your hubby not that long ago…keep chatting “the budget” with him, and see where it goes! you never know…
same. told my husband I had $200 in the envelope for his birthday so what did he want......he said an apple home pod and a trip to Chicago to visit his friends......ignorance really is bliss
thank you for being so transparent about your numbers! i budget for myself but enjoy seeing when it comes to a family budget + working off two incomes. love your vids!
Thank you so much! 🖤🖤🖤
YES!!! As soon as you said Mr. was being loud in the kitchen. I was hopeful he would purposely be even more louder! You guys are just my favorite!
he kept messing with dishes and i was like “IM FILMING HERE!” 😂😂😂
Great video. I was so ecstatic when I saw your budget sheet. I have not been able to find one that would exactly fit my needs. It has enough income and sinking fund spaces🙌😍Thank You!!!!!
that was always my issue too!!!! not nearly enough spaces for all the different funds we have to save for. i’m glad mine works for you!!!
I practice jiu-jitsu and was like when I saw that item in your budgeting list. Awesome that your husband and son do it. Such a great stress-reliever and helps keep us humble.
Keep up the great work budgeting!
that’s so cool! he loves it and has been doing it for years :)
I enjoy these videos and happy you continue to have your budget with me in your content!
🖤🖤
when I tell you I CACKLED when you said "those of you that are OGs ... I mean OGs??? I just started my channel" hahaha you're personality shines through your videos haha
I discovered you a few days ago & have been binge watching your videos so that I'm caught up cause its truly helpful! Plan to definitely use your approach when I move in with my husband come August & we have to officially adult lol
lol i’m glad i made you laugh- i like to chat with y’all like we’re sitting down and hanging out together 🖤
A nice detailed breakdown! Very educational. Thank you for sharing. 💚
thank you for watching!
Oh is this the gym with the sauna you loved?! 🤣 that would be me- I would totally forget and show all our stuff 🤣🤣 love so much how y’all budget together! Thank you breaking this down like you have and showing us your process! 💚💚 it was awesome to see!
it is!!!!! and it’s so great- but it just makes more sense to use what we have. thank you, as always, for watching 🖤🖤
I think as we get older, we find out that the little nuances of sales tax, food tax, personal property tax, property tax, fees, subscriptions, etc., all get annoying because they sneak up on us if and when we aren’t paying attention. I just started cash stuffing at the beginning of April because we have personal property tax and vehicle registration (we just count it as registration because we can’t register our vehicles for the year unless we pay the PPT) coming up in June. I didn’t want it fully sneak up on us this year, but definitely not any year after this, as well. I love how tangible this method can be for someone who actually needs to see it. Great breakdown and explanation! Thank you for this!
this method is great for things like this! we all have those little expenses that can sneak up on us if we’re not careful!
I love this video and all the detail you go into! This feels realistic and authentic to me. Could you squeeze things tighter? Sure…but the reality is that most of us have non-negotiables that other people see as optional, and that is totally fine if you are covering everything and making progress. You also have things in here that I feel like a lot of people don’t factor in that causes their categories to be overspent regularly. This is a budget you can stick to long term and not be miserable and is much more sustainable for people who aren’t in great shape but also aren’t in extreme situations. This looks like a real life, permanent budgeting strategy to me.
THANK you- you hit the nail on the head here.
if life circumstances were different, we would absolutely “tighten our belts” - but our goal is long-term success….and the best way for us to get there is to be realistiv
So on the 401k loan they only allow a payment in full to be made ( that’s the way when we borrowed we found it to be ) and yes it’s your last debt ( cause you are always paying it off) your making great progress and because you are paying off debt and following ( with adjustments ) the baby steps you will avoid the pitfalls of falling back into debt ! Glenda
Teamwork! Love it!
🖤
Love your detail! We have three income streams. My husbands check comes bi-weekly and then we each have a monthly pension check. I just do three budgets and each one covers certain things. Again, great video!
i love seeing how other people work their budgets out- you get great ideas that way!
Great budget video!
thank you!
Good Morning, I am catching up on videos. Great job.
thank you!!
newly subbed, excited to see more content! :)
thank you!!!!
What are your thoughts about charging groceries on a 2% cash back card and then paying off the balance right away. Or using this method in general?
i generally think that’s not a bad idea- we’re holding off on doing anything like that while we’re paying down debt and proving to ourselves that we can be disciplined in our finances.
@@thesimplebudget Thank you for your response :)
Hello, neighbor (I live in FW, I saw on your Etsy shop you're in Dallas) LOL!! Have your thought amount paying your car insurance 6 months at a time instead of monthly so you can get a discount? :) My hubby & I have separate finances, I really enjoy joint budgets :) I'm paid monthly, so super easy budgeting on my budget!
hi neighbor!!!!
we’re gonna look into that!!! thank you for the suggestion!
Hello new subbie ❤❤❤❤ it’s so nice to meet you
thank you! 🖤🖤🖤
😊😊
If I had credit card debt, I wouldn't be budgeting for lash lifts and household decor. Your budget is detailed but excessively so. Paying off 2k on your visa in a month is awesome. But if you denied yourself a few luxuries, you'd be able to make much more significant strides. Think of the interest costs you'd be saving.
“if i…”
my circumstances aren’t yours, so our approaches won’t be the same. i’m handling my finances in a way that works best for me and my family. not in order to make random people on the internet happy.
@@thesimplebudget don’t put your financial information on the internet then.
@@Strugglebus1980 lol - i dont do it to make anyone happy, i do it in the hopes that someone might take inspiration from what i'm doing - or pick up tips and tricks for their own personal system...it does make me laugh when folks like you get pissy with me for not doing it *your* way tho - i guess yall can stay mad and keep commenting if you like...boosts my views and all that. thanks :)
@@thesimplebudget well you will have money for your lash lift
Yes! I was thinking as I listened to all the excessive spending that there would be no $20,000 in credit card debt if she just cut some expenses! Not interested in watching someones budget channel that lives way beyond their means and isn’t trying to show why spending habits need to change first.
Wow, your groceries and Target are pretty high. Is there anything that can help you bring it under 1,000? That could probably help attack the debt.
nope…it just is what it is. but we’re still making significant progress on debt too :)
Great job ❤❤❤

Are y’all just really into cooking ? Like a hobby? I’m new here.
not particularly!
i have a very strict diet and my kids are huge. 😆
the combination makes for a very high grocery bill.
Why is it always the man making all or most the money i never see women that make the household income damn now i wish i was married so u can depend on my man
my husband makes more because his earning potential is higher…because he worked to make that so.
Hello, I’m new here. Here for another video with your channel. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to another one soon. Hopefully we can be friends and you can come over by me. I have been watching your videos, I am also new to this community and would love to stay touch with you. I bought Several Binders and the cash holder already and play money, now just putting together my budget spreadsheet. Looking forward to create great friendships…Thank you so much for sharing.
