    I was sitting outside Neros, having a coffee earlier today and a bloke rocked up on a Sinnis Scrambler 125. I was so impressed with the quality, fit and finish of the bike.....metal mudguards front and rear, metal indicator housings, lovely stitched seat, mesh headlight cover etc etc etc. He told me he bought it as customer-returned stock from a small dealer and paid £1000! Absolute bloody bargain. Came home and searched for reviews of Sinnis bikes and found your delightful, happy video :)

    Thanks for the video. I'm 49yo and have just past my cbt. I brought the rsx 125 (dealer 2 miles away) and I'm so pleased with it. I could have bought any 125 but for 2200 quid as opposed to 4000 for a Yamaha or Honda my thought process was 'if I drop it it's cheap to fix"
    I've had 70 out of it......down hill 🤣

    I really like your logic on small bikes; since they're slow you might as well be comfortable and made with a more upright body positioning vs being hunched forward like a racer.
    And your commentary when you were turning around on that private road with the sheep watching was hilarious. :)
    Oh, and one more thing ......"wheyyy!!!!!" :)

    The light weight and usable power of 125s (150s in the USA) are their biggest selling points IMHO. (I ride a 150 and it's perfect in town and on small back roads.) The downside is that they are exhausting to ride for long periods or high miles. Every whine and rattle of the engine vibrate through the frame and into your body and wears you down. My dream is to have my Wolf for commutes, errands, and short braps; and a 750 or 850 GS for weekend rides to the beach or the mountains.

    Zongshen so probably fairly reliable for a Chinese bike, but the Lexmoto ZSX-R is a Zongshen and it's £600 cheaper.
    Nice to see a review of a budget bike - more are needed to get the younger/less well off interested in motorcycling.

    So many really cool and cheap Chinese 125's these days. When I started riding 35 years ago I had to fit a tinted visor to hide my humiliation at the pile of junk I learned on. Am I bitter about it? Of course I am.....scarred for life I tell ya!!

    Joanna, I do hope your friend passed her CBT, to get her 125 on the road, just to let you know, the Sunnis a great brand& their 124 CT range of bikes are hard to beat, However the Benefit/Leeway brand are possible better! The Benefit TNT 125 would have been ideal for your friend, as would the even better Leeway RKF 125 with its unique 3 spark plug engine designed by Benelli, it has a 12HP engine, upside down forks, monoshock suspension on the back, at £2400, OTR it's an awesome bike at a bargain price honey.

  • @Signals927

    The warranty is a let down 2 years parts only, other competitors offer 2 years parts and labour. Great bike though.

  • @kevinmobile
    @kevinmobile Před 5 lety

    Thanks for your review of this seemingly amazing value bike.
    While there are over 130 Sinnis dealers in the UK (so certainly good for jobs), I would not go along with calling this a British brand.
    This is very much a Chinese company (although some models have had a limited UK design and R&D input) and it is a significant OEM provider/partner to large companies such as Peugeot, Suzuki (who make many of the engines), Piaggio and even Harley Davidson.
    If the quality can be maintained and I was a Japanese manufacturer, I would be concerned about being unable to compete at this price and the future!

    • @ventisette.
      @ventisette. Před 5 lety

      They need not worry, because A LOT of people still care about the brand name and image. Maybe not in the UK, but in Italy for example these things get laughed at.

    • @cisium1184
      @cisium1184 Před 5 lety +4

      I think it is fair to call Sinnis a UK brand and UK company, as its charter and service mark are both registered under UK law. The parent company, Qingqi, is Chinese. Much the way the "new" Rolls Royce was a British brand from the outset, despite being wholly owned by BMW and not having a plant in the UK.

  • @barnbersonol

    Wow. New bikers are so lucky these days. In my learner days (the 1980s) the cheapie learners ..
    Weighed 90kgs so you were top heavy
    Were kick start, 6v lights that dimmed when you slowed down
    Had skinny tyres and drum brakes
    Were physically tiny yet no faster than today's bikes.
    Cost about 40% of today's bike prices, wages were about 20%.
