Two Wheel Review Top Tips... 1. The expert rider looks way down the road. Using the natural and man made features of the environment to judge which way and how sharp the next bend is. Why it works. Because the expert rider effectively has more time than the rider who is looking just in front of his bike or even just at the bike he is following. 2. The expert doesn't charge the turn. They don't brake as late and as hard as they possibly can for the turn. They arrive at the turn at the speed they want to turn in. Why it works. The expert rider is settled and composed at the road position and speed they want to be to make the turn rather than the rider who has charged the turn and now has to work much harder to settle the bike (and themselves!) to get the next parts of the turn right. 3. The expert rider chooses a later turn in point. They stay wide on the outside of the turn much longer. They wait until they can see the apex and the exit. Why it works. By staying outside the expert rider effectively sets themselves up for the turn in and acceleration phases of the turn. This is in contrast to the rider who turns in early following the inner edge of the turn effectively reducing the radius, making the turn tighter and delaying the acceleration and drive phases of the turn. 4. At their chosen turn in point the expert rider snaps the bike over quickly to their desired lean angle by applying firm pressure to the bar in the direction they want the bike to go. Why it works. As most know it's called counter steering and is the single most effective way to turn a bike. By contrast getting out of the saddle and even hanging off does not turn the bike. Getting out of the saddle is actually a technique to keep the bike more vertical for a given radius and speed in a turn. 5. Once they have snapped the bike over the expert rider immediately steadily and continuously rolls on the throttle. Accelerating through the apex before picking the bike up and driving through the exit. The important point is they roll on the throttle as early as possible - immediately after snapping over. Why does it work. Steady continuous roll on settles the bike. If you are accelerating for longer you are going to exit the turn faster and be faster overall throughout the whole turn. This rider may not be an expert rider...
This is nice, even an advanced rider can learn stuff from a beginner class. It is always good to go back to the basics. I just learn some stuff just from watching this video.
I loved doing the serpentine only I was on a street bike. During my course I rode it like a natural rider weaving in and out its all rhythmic and timing.
Good video. I loved the last part when you said that it was similar to MOD1 but slower. I failed MOD 1 the first time...it is hard. 31 MPH seems fast when you are countersteering as a newbie.
Very Similar to the Honda's Dream School in Japan. Honda 700C is used. Anybody can participate with Yen 14000 (= Euro 110) per day (10:00-16:00) Bike and Helmet Protector include.
Welcome to you newest and best addiction! Get all the training you can, and then practice it. Don't worry, even the practice is fun, on a bike. When you are done learning and training, learn and train some more. And, most importantly, have fun! What is the meaning of life? Motorcycles.
I learned how distracting following a rider like Joanna would be. But seriously, training like this would save a lot of new riders potential accidents.
I'd like to go out there to do that course. I'm batshit scared of emergency braking. I mean you gotta do what you gotta do in the situation but sheesh... and in the wet????? WHEW
I would have liked to see that video they showed you about riding positons and all that in there video. Me watching you do a slolem course doesnt help a viewer it just helps you leanrn to control the bike
Lol here in The Netherlands, (except the cornering abs) this is all part of your exam for your motorcycle license. If you fail this you just fail for your whole exam and have to do another exam.
You have no idea what you are talking about. Here in Ontario, the M1 exit course you take has all the same lessons as what they showed in this video. Countersteering, emergency breaking and using clutch control to do the low speed slalom are all taught. This is the same as what they teach in MSF courses in the US.
Maybe I over stated the simplicity, but I've met many people who take these courses and sorry, but doing these things in a parking lot on a TW200 does not prepare you for the streets of Toronto on a superbike. If you are one of these people who believe it does, then I'm afraid for you. The Ontario government had a wonderful chance to create real graduated licensing and incorporate engine size into the equation but instead used it to create an extra opportunity to grab more cash from new riders. How did this system create better riders? Yes, the courses that are offered are better than nothing but guess what? You can skip taking a course and still do enough to pass the license test, get your M2 and if you have the money buy an R1. Even if you take the course, what has been learned to cope with that kind of power if you "think" you learned enough because they gave you a license? Don't get me wrong: I don't mind thinning the herd, I just don't want the newly licensed squid who loses control of his sport bike doing 200 km/h on the 401 to take me our my family with him.
My dream was to go Japan when I can get away from work... but now my dream is go italy and do the intro track course on a 959... I just bought my 1299s brand new 3 months ago, so I'm getting authentic Prosciutto fever higher than Otoro fever ever since I bought a Ducati. For me cars are strictly Japanese born and raised. For some reason though my races bikes don't turn me on at all....
1 tip : if you slalom at low speed tighten your legs around the tank and steer with your hips , its a million times easier then the way they are showing here.
All amateurs, but hey pro is not for everyone..,like me riding bikes since I was 12,nobody was riding with helmets and stuff we are going like maniacs and 20years later you watch idiots taking motorcycle classes...I guess is all 😊 stay safe my amateurs friends...and the pro 👍👌
please gentleman the bikes were the stars a pretty lady with rather dubious motorcycle riding skills is not.....id rather have watched a competant guy ride and give actual tips and advice as to how to ride faster and what techniques are required to handle a machine thats fast enough to make life interesting very quickly.......but if i was asked to ride pillion i wouldnt trust her above 40mph she needs alot of work just to get to average let alone good and ducati leathers should be on a ducati ,but i guess im just a perfectionist,i guess big healthy blonde girls get a pass from some people .Me i give positive advice let the girl give the interview and show someone else riding, someone whose better than her , she needs to gain alot more experience before she can be fast and safe.its a case of style over substance.as for me id like a bit more substance and a bit more information as these machines are very fast and very dangerous in inexperienced hands,,i felt scared for her as maybe the bikes were too powerful for her maybe the producer shuoldnt have endangered her by asking an inexperienced rider to do something so far beyond her obviously mediocre riding ability.we care about you love,do the weather its more becoming ,biking just isnt you.you are taking a big risk if you ride round on a ducati without the right skills and confidence and biking can be dangerous in inexperienced hands.and fire the writer too im sure i could have written something that was more informative and entertaining and actually passionate about that sexiest of all italian road race bikes the ducati,, and alessandro what a great teacher a proper rider could have learned alot from more of him.Im going to grow a beard just like his in his honour, and i liked his choice of ducati gear, grey ducati tee shirt with red and black ducati jacket which being ducati would be inordinately expensive with a ducati adventure style helmet which would be also unreasonably expensive but its red and its italian and looks the business, you have to love them, when we say classic italian we mean ferrari we mean sophia loren we mean ducati im only human i want one of each
nothing sexier than a beautiful woman riding a Ducati !!
Totally agree.

I just learn some stuff just from watching this video.
It's great to see you branching out, getting into new types of presentation. I hope the manufacturers take note of your ever improving work!

Andrew Carpenter Heyyyyy Andrew!! Never thought I’d see you here! :)
How was it the lyrics went, again, to that Cool & The Gang song: "Joanna, I.. "????
I learned how distracting following a rider like Joanna would be. But seriously, training like this would save a lot of new riders potential accidents.

Nice bikes, but the course doesn't seem like it's very good. Much better off going to California Superbike School I think
Marry me.

Mod 1 on steroids. Slow slalom. 2 cones down... fail.
That Ducati is Hideous
I think its good the teach girls these things. So theyll be a bit less of a danger on the road, hopefully.
Cause they are the real problem on the roads, right.......*facepalm*
I can ride better than this girl any day and do it 10x faster.
Care factor is minus 50 because you look like shit doin it
Punch up Ducati problems and see how many vids there are out there on these Wonderfull machines what a joke.
I've had 4, my brother's had 2, I have 4 friends that ride them daily and the only problems I've seen were because of rider's fault.
