- I am sharing my player run collection of Hank Aaron. Everything from modern cards to his earliest playing days cards. Included are a few non-base cards and "oddball" that make each player collection more interesting!
Beautiful run Aaron. I love his 63 card as well. Great video!
Thank you, sir! The Aaron run is pretty reasonable until you get that rookie and some of the regional issues. Still some work to do, but that's the fun!
Very nice player run. I love collecting players like Aaron, who's cards span the 50's, 60's and 70's. It's like a smorgasbord of greatness!
Absolutely! Even though I seem drawn to pre-war and oddball, there's something about those chase cards from my youth that we just couldn't afford. These are still the root of vintage. The gateway to everything else.
Very nice Aaron run. Thanks for sharing. Ownership over assigned grade. Love the dual auto photo in the background. The league leaders and 70 AS are good value as well.
Thank you, sir. That photo is definitely a fun supplement to the card run. Appreciate you giving the Aaron run a watch.
Nice run! Love the 1958 yellow letter in particular.
Thank you, sir. That is one of my more recent pickups. Appreciate you giving the Aaron run a watch!
Henry Aaron is hands down my favorite player of all time! Great run you have thanks so much for sharing. I hope to add his RC soon, that 55 your Mom gave you is a sweet card. I would grade that just to get it in a slab for protection.
Thank you very much. I agree, that RC is one that just feels like a must in the collection. I am so on the fence on grading. My biggest hesitation is lack of desire to ever sell, but moreso the actual surrender of possession of a card that cannot be replaced. Whole different mindset to wrestle with on that one.
Very cool and thank you for sharing! Some of the interesting subsets that may be fun to add are the 1975 Topps set card #195 (Aaron MVP of 57) and the 75 "minis". A post playing card I like is the 1982 Kmart Aaron (#43) - this card has an awesome image of Aaron swinging and a very nice narrative about his 1974 home run record. I am also very partial about the 1963 Topps power plus card (Banks and Aaron) but this one is a bit pricey. Anyway, happy collecting and have a great week.
Thank you so much for that info. I love those combo cards, 63 with Banks and 57 with Mantle for sure. Card with Eddie Mathews is great too from 59 I believe. I will absolutely check out that Kmart card. It's on the list!
Alright, spend my money! Just grabbed the Kmart card. That is a nice looking picture of Hank for sure. Appreciate that recommendation.
@@Valuevintagecards-Aaron My pleasure! I love that card too! Have a great evening and happy collecting.
great collection! ive been working on a topps playing days main issue aaron run for awhile, im now just missing 54 55 58 card w/ mantle and 64 w/ mays. i do hope to add the 55 bowman and that 62 post someday soon. Thanks for sharing!
Getting close and you are definitely aiming for above and beyond it sounds like. The journey is the fun!
Just subbed/ Keep them coming
Thank you so much, sir! Appreciate the encouragement! It was great getting a chance to meet you in Strongsville. You really are the mayor!
Sent your way by Jason. You have a nice run of Aarons cards. I'm down to missing 6 or so including the 54 and 55 and a few combo cards. I'm nearly done reading his book "Homerun" which is a good read. Love your 54 and 55 by the way.
Thank you, sir. Jason is a great friend and very kind to support my channel. The Aaron run spans such a time, it is great fun to build. Congrats, getting close!
Fun seeing how the player ages over the years, nice run. As you mentioned near the end, I'd much rather have the entire run vs the 54 in grade only slightly higher. That's crazy and an easy choice for me as well.
Yeah, Joey, we have slightly different interests, but the same mind for sure.
