- They're really the gift that keeps on giving and they're YET AGAIN offering us another masterpiece! They took a page out of the classic rnb book and put this out! And I can't help but love this! This will become a christmas time/song staple for me and because Christmas comes back every year you already know that this will be played during that time (also during the rest of the year but i'm just saying, to celebrate the spirit of Christmas)! Even though this song talks about separation and missing someone, their voices healed me and felt so warm! And omg, I am glad this didn't make me cry because the teaser was ... oof! Tear jerking! This was simply perfection!

I'm Japanese Alphaz. At beginning, it seems Chisa said in Japanese " Ogenki desuka～Watashi wa genki desu! " means " How are you? I'm well".
the fact that is doing 37Cº and im still feel like its a good winter in this brazillian summer makes me think this song has some kind of magic in it, idk how to explain this but i love this sensation
Chisa in the opening is shouting into the mountains in Japanese "Ogenki Desu Ka?" (How Are You?) and answering herself with "Watashi wa genki desu" (I am fine.). This is taken from a famous emotional movie from 1995 called "Love Letter" by Shinju Iwai and starring Miho Nakayama, who plays 2 roles in it.
Her fiance died 2 years ago when the movie opens, falling into a ravine while mountain climbing. She is still suffering this loss, and while visiting his mother, finds his junior high address in a yearbook, and discovers he lived farther north when younger. So she writes a short letter to her fiance, at that old address, as an attempt at closure. But surprisingly she gets a letter back! Later in the movie, she goes to the snowy mountain where she lost her fiance, and shouts into it "Ogenki Desu Ka?" and replies her own question with "Watashi wa genki desu!" and hears the echos as if it is coming from him. You can find a grainy uploaded YT version of the entire movie (2 hours). I recommend you watch it, it is beautifully done, just like this MV by XG.
XG is too talented for this industry yes their focus is more global marketing for the entire world but just the Kpop industry alone XG is one OUTSTANDING!!! They have something 2&3 gen vibes all over them which is definitely something I totally miss about Kpop these day 🥲❤️

First things first, Show of hands, who wanted to hear more of singing Jurin, Harvey, and Coco! 🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️Don’t get me wrong, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the rapping and them bringing back that 90’s rap flow/style but like man I don’t think we’ve ACTUALLY heard Jurin sing at ALL yet!
I like Jurin the most, but she doesn't seem to have a rich voice. I love her part in this song, though, and I wish we could hear more from her. Also, Hinata has a hell of a voice and should be featured more prominently.
