Foundations of Decay is such a wonderful blend of everything that has made MCR so special to me, and I'm sure many others. I hear everything from the heavy/rawness of Bullets and Three Cheers, to the softer/melancholy of Black Parade and Danger Days, and it all just culminates in this wonderful sound of "where MCR should be after 9 years". It made me have a slight breakdown when I first heard it cause the lyrics are so representative of where those guys are, and even where the fans could be amidst the growing up and dealing with age and all that comes with it. I'm so happy it isn't just some half-assed return for a cash grab. It genuinely feels like they came back when they were needed most and the heart never left, and that makes my soul bleed tears of joy.
