I'm an aerospace engineer and I'm against death and destruction, particularly random, but this is all interesting. I think the decisive conflict here is not so much tactics and technology as much as the fundamental purpose of the weapon systems employed by the two sides. The weapons on the Israeli side are principally designed and built to make money and the weapons on the Lebanese side of the border are designed and built to win. "Cheap" is bad on one side and good on the other. Do the math. That empty city speaks volumes. Israel very much needs to find another paradigm that doesn't involve it technologically dominating its neighbors, because that's in the past.
Agree. The capacity to produce cheap weapons can make a difference in the battle field. Look at all the drones Iran was able to send to Israel.
