President Weah Breaks Ground for Beach Sports Facility Today
Monrovia, Liberia - The President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, today, August 5, 2021 break ground for the construction of a beach sports facility in Monrovia, behind the Barclay Training Center (BTC).
The facility will host, when completed, a full outdoor gym, two football fields, two basketball courts, two volleyball courts, a restaurant, souvenir shops, a children's playground, Security booths and an administrative building.
The Governments of Liberia and United Arab Emirates through the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) have provided funding for the project.
The Beach Facility and many other UAE-funded projects are dividends of Liberia and UAE strong bilateral relations.
