🇱🇷 George Weah set to win Liberia presidential runoff | Al Jazeera English

  • Liberia's election commission says former football star George Weah has won the country's presidential run-off with a projected 61.5 percent of the vote.
    98.1 percent of the votes have been counted and tallied.

    Good to see him being democratically elected by the people. I hope Goerge weah and his team can create a new economic model en poltical system in Liberia. As liberia is really falling behind in west africa, africa and the world as whole. Many liberians left the nation to usa, sierra leone, cote d ivoire and ghana for a better life. The country has heavely damaged my civil wars, mismanagement, corruption and lack of vision. The people are happy, good, but they should stop all the dancing and shanting as these is what the media have been showing for decades......and then all of a sudden a coup starts and people start at 0 again. I hope liberians also will understand that george alone can not change the country, different ethnic groups have to work togheter focusing on building a vision and pragmatically implement them and focusing on education. The dancing, clapping, etc etc needs to stop at this moment focus on building liberia......because its postion has fallen far behind in everything
