Great job much to high and Oberon too
I feel like Garlan Tyrell deserves a spot. He’s said to be the best fighter in the entire reach. He always trains against several men at a time, to prepare himself for what’s a real battlefield will be like. Loras was said to be extremely good, but even he admitted that Garlan is far better than him. And when Garlan appeared at the blackwater, he was mowing through his enemies left and right.
1. Ser Arthur Dayne (with Dawn)
2. Ser Barriston Selmy
3. Daemon Blackfyre (with Blackfyre)
4. Ser Jaime Lannister
5. Aemon Dragonknight (with Darksister)
6. Robert Baratheon
7. Ser Duncan the Tall
8. Lyonel "The Laughing Storm" Baratheon
9. Sandor "The Hound" Clegane
10. Cregan Stark
How come the hound is on the list but not Brienne of Tarth who beat him?
@@LeBrow420 He could barely fight as he had a severe infection caused by the bite in his neck
Dam no Bronn or Oberyn ?
The Shadow! Your list are flies to Sandoq the Shadow.
I’d add Daemon Targaryen
Joffrey the red smile giver Baratheon must be #1
Imagine stannis's terror
@@Yami1300 yep

The very best⚔
Only if Stannis was fool enough to meet him in battle 😭
Remember That Khal drogo never Lost in fights
Jamie gained his White Cloak during the Tourny at Harrenhall. He eared knighthood after fighting the Kingswood Brotherhood.
That was mostly to spite Tywin Jaime even recollects on this when he’s riding back to KL from harrenhal
@@johnpauldriskill8737true, but that doesn’t diminish his prowess in combat and deserved to be in the kings guard
@@NotSoRandom_ no it definitely doesn’t Jaime is one of the best fighters in the verse without a shadow of a doubt but he wouldn’t have been a KG that young if it weren’t for Aerys hating Tywin
@@NotSoRandom_ I just recently finished all 5 books, in my opinion of Jaime as good as he gets, I don't think he is enough to be a kingsguard. I mean, he just became one because of aerys and Tywin's beef.
also as a knight himself i always find him to be very much lacking. I know they say he is such a goodswordsman but his recent fall off the battles and wars, I have my doubts that he is indeed the hype around him.
I mean I don't buy the hype because that's probably a contradiction to the books. at his current age he never defeated a famous Knight yet or winning against being outnumbered by fair amount. He also still can't use his left hand even after years of training with Arthur Dayne who's a two handed swordsman.
there's a lot more and I think Jaime is just so overhyped to the point his fans are the ones making him overrated
I dont see how Snow passes Sandor
So many great fighters to choose from, my top 3 are
1. Arthur Dayne
2. Barriston Selmy
3. Khal Drogo
Nice. Drogo is underrated as a fighter
Bobby b
@@DaveyFish1 khal drogo to high
drogo ? :D lol
Syrio forel was badass the book fight was a lot more brutal from what I remember it's been years I might need a refresher.
Finally a list that included Jon snow I know it not the best but being on the list I think deserved
Definitely, he may not be the most technically skilled fighter but he always finds a way to win & is a very smart fighter. Thanks for watching 🙏

I believe prime Bobby b is number one fighter
George RR Martin disagrees
he is not do he struggled against rhaegar who wasn’t even that impressive in fighting do you really think that he will be able to take down jaime, arthur dayne, cregan
@@kiramoviesx6665 since he has the sheer stamina, durability and strength advantage then yes
Bobby B was a monster, but if he was going up against the likes of Barristan Selmy or Arthur Dayne I'd bet on them against him.
Arthur himself (in the show at least) figured it would be Robert dead if he had been there, and since my understanding is Robert was winning the battle and he killed rhaegar, which means Arthur at least figured himself superior to both Robert and rhaegar, not to mention barriston who was already there
1.Theon Greyjoy
2.Gilly Daughterwife
3.Otto Hightowrr
Don't forget Hodor.
1. Arthur Dayne/Barristan Selmy
2. Aemon "The Dragonight"
3. Jaimie Lannister "The Kingslayer"
4. Robert Baratheon
5. Cregan Stark
6. "Bronze" Jon Royce
7. Oberyn Martell "The Red Viper"
8. The Hound Sandor Clegane
9. Brianne of Tarth
10. Ser Duncan the Tall/Victraion Greyjoy
Honorable mentions: The Mountain that Rides Gregor Clegane, Khal Drogo, Qorin Halfhand, Bronn of the Blackwater, Garland Tyrell, Lyonel Baratheon, Daemon Blackfyre, Dario Naharis, The Smiling Knight and of course the man the myth the wooden sword legend.. Syrio Forell!
Now that's a dangerous list!! Nice 💪
you don't know Daemon blackfyre? he was the greatest Swordsman there is according to the book a dance with dragons. it's stupid to even put Jaime lanister above Daemon blackfyre
Forgot ser srthur dayne
@@miquelcanosasanteularia1678 what? Arthur is there, read again
@@hexflash. o I read wrong, thnks
Robert Baratheon's underrated imo. The greatest threat to House Targaryen since Daemon Blackfyre. Although he actually toppled the dynasty.
Yea Bobby B is no joke!
I hated to see what happened to Oberyn . The way he fought was very impressive. Seeing the impressions on Jaime Lannisters face when he saw Oberyn fighting The Mountain was great. I would have loved to see his character stay alive much longer in GOT
Bobby B wins almost every list.
Best fighter
Best battle Commander
Most charismatic leader
And people say he was a terrible king but he had the charisma to unite houses against the mad king, his men loved him and he only ever lost won battle and that loss wasn't really a loss if you know everything that happend. Then he squashed a rebellion and united the whole realm.
But because he liked to party people say he was terrible. What else are you supposed to do after you beat everyone and you finally achieve peace? Let the man have some fun.
Booby B the best king
I really do hope Jon's real name ends up being Aemon rather than how they made him Aegon in the show. Like it would make so much sense because their ideals are quite similar
Being Aegon is better.. the conquest started with an Aegon.. it should end with an Aegon! The prince who was promised.. a child born from ice(lyanna) and fire(rhaegar) who'd end the long night and rule the kingdom!
Mance beat jon snow in a fair duel, so he should be above jon on the list
facts. He also became king beyond the wall from beating the absolute best warriors of each Northern clan. That alone cements him as a legend
1- Arthur Dayn
2- Barrystan Selmy
3- Jamie Lannister
4- Robert Baratheon
5- Oberyn Martell
6- Sandor Clegane
7- Victarion Greyjoy
8- Brienne of Tarth
9- Gregor Clegane
10- Qhorin Halfhand
Honorable Mentions to Areo Hotah, Bronn, Drogo, Greatjon Umber
This list is way different if it's the entire history, this just covers some of a song of ice and fire and there's knights before the events of ASOIAF that would blow away a lot of these names, either way Arthur Dayne would probably stay number 1.
@@KevinTkt14 Oh yes, I completely agree, I just made my list based on the ASOIAF books since those are the ones that I have managed to read. You can add Aegon Targaryen, Daemon, Dalton Greyjoy, Cregan Stark and many many more but I don't know their feets as well as the ones that I put in my list.
Probably the best list I've seen
Sandoq The Shadow, i believe deserves recognition and mention at very ok least
Yeah, Sandoq was literally The Mountain with more strength, speed and a Valyrian steel sword, if you add this to the feats he performed he’s easily top 3
@@74ss43Sandoq didn’t have more strength than the Moutain, he was definitely smarter, faster and more skilled but no stronger.
Remember Sandoq is 7’3 while Gregor is 8’3. There’s one foot difference and at least 200 pounds between the two.
Besodes the Moutain is almost stated to have inhuman/magical strength, he outmatch everyone and by far.
@@Cesare-Borgia Sandoq killed bears and wyverns with rocks, The Mountain has no strength feats that compare to that
Bro even without the valeryan steel sword I believe Sandoq would still beat the mountain.
I would argue that the top 5 (in no order) would be
Daemon Blackfyre
Aemon the Dragonknight
Cregan Stark
Arthur Dayne
Barristan Selmy
With Jaime Lannister, Oberyn Martell, Robert Baratheon, Greatjon Umber following with a close battle for 10th between people like Sandor Clegane, Duncan the Tall and the Mountain (who I think is always massively overrated)
How you can’t include Cregan shows me a lot here considering Aemon described him as the greatest fighter he ever faced and he was way past his prime then
George RR Martin has confirmed the 2 best fighters in all of ASOIAF are Arthur Dayne & Barristan Selmy & says Arthur would ultimately win especially if wielding Dawn. The rest could def be up for interpretation as i said in the video, many ppl are going to have different top 10's which is totally fine, but Arthur & Barristan are the only 2 we can confirm are #1 & #2
He didnt confirm that they were the two best fighters in all of ASOIAF, literally a fan asked who would win between those two and he said that Dayne wins with Dawn but otherwise it would be a toss up. Nothing more, nothing less.@@JeremyIceAndFire33
@464528 not true, George has been asked many times who the best overall fighter in ASOIAF is. Every time he says Arthur Dayne & Barristan are the 2 best fighters in the books.
GREAT LIST
People are all sleeping HARD on Maegor the Cruel. The guy was unmatched in melee combat and cut down everyone he faced.
This is so true, but I think his reputation makes him the least talked about in the verse compared to when aemon the dragonknight even though was painted dishonor by his own brother still has his reputation talked about by people he once saved or shown good deeds
Very true, he could easily make a top 10 list.
Maegor the cruel was also a good fighter
I always wonder why nobody mentioned him when those lists are making
@@InfamousB9 politics
Yep, only one to survive his trial of the seven. Nobody else survived.

7. Oberyn martell
6. Robert Baratheon
5.Ser Duncan the tall

Honorable mentions: the greatjon, daemon Targaryen, Aemond Targaryen, Orros Baratheon, baelon the brave, Cristin Cole, Briene of Tarth, Jonquil Darke and Ser Ryam Redwine, Loras and Garlan Tyrell
Formidable list!
I would say the NK but he totally ran from Jon Snow so......
Lot of folks sleep on Cregan Stark, whom Aemond the Dragon Knight considered the best swordsman he ever faced
I think the Hound should be higher, and I would definitely find a spot for Ser Garlan Tyrell. Honorable mentions for Ser Jorah Mormont and Bronn as well. So hard to narrow this down to just 10.
Yea narrowing it down to 10 was extremely difficult lol soo many great fighters.
@@JeremyIceAndFire33 each to their own but I think the order was a bit iffy; like where was Daemon Blackfyre and Cregan Stark? I’d say both of them are arguably fitting for top 3 but Aemon was so low down
Cregan fought Aemon on equal level and he was past his prime
@@MT-UKyep, Aemon the Dragonknight called Cregan “the best swordsman he’d ever met”
The rogue prince? Maegor the cruel? Duncan the Tall? Mance Rayder, who literally beats Jon Snow one on one? Brienne? Bruuuuh!
No way a 15 or 16 year old Jon Snow is a better fighter than Sandor Clegane.
#1 Daemon Blackfyre #2 Arthur Dayne #3 Barristan Selmy #4 Sandoq the shadow (from Fire and blood) #5 Aemon the Dragonknight #6 Jaime Lannister #7 Robert Baratheon #8 Criston Cole (Fire and blood) #9 Sandor Clegane #10 Maegor Targaryen
Bro finally. I’ve searched for lifetimes and finally, a list with some Daemon Blackfyre respect. Daemon and Arthur in my opinion are two fighters that are complete equal and if they fought against eachother the fight would last forever. Daemon literally being stated to be a superior fighter to Ulrick Dayne weirder of Dawn and even Better than Aemon Dragonknight with Dark sister in hand. Good list bro

A formidable list!
good list
Mine list of The Finest Warriors and Knights in the History of Westeros: in no particular order
Ser Barristan Selmy the Bold,
Ser Duncan the Tall,
Ser Criston Cole the Kingmaker,
Sandor Clegane the Hound,
Ser Aemon the Dragonknight,
Daemon Blackfyre the Black Dragon,
Quentyn Ball Fireball,
Aegor Rivers Bittersteel,
King Robert Baratheon

What about Wun Wun lol
Lol none can stand against Wun Wun
That's just cheating
Tricky tricky!
My list would be :
Daemon Blackfyre
Ryam Redwine
Aemon Targaryen
Aegon the conqueror
Cregan Stark
Robert Baratheon
Barristan Selmy
Arthur Dayne
Oberyn Martell
Jaime Lannister
I will not put them in an order since a few of them would be fighting for the top spot under equal conditions.
I decided to not put a Clegane here only cause it is expected that both are on every list.
Nice list!!
@@JeremyIceAndFire33 I wanted to put Duncan the tall on the list too so we can just assume he would be my 11th :D
Sir, i have a counter question how would you rank the fighters I listed?
@simonbionary11010 hmm good question, i guess I'd go
1. Arthur Dayne
2. Barristan Selmy
3. Oberyn Martell
4. Jamie Lannister
5. Daemon Blackfyre
6. Aemon Targaryen
7. Ryam Redwine
8. Cregan Stark
9. Robert Baratheon
10. Aegon the Conqueror
Jon is a very good fighter, even among nobles. But top 10 is being very generous. He monologues to himself in the books he wouldn't have had a chance against Qourin halfhand if he actually wanted to kill Jon, and he tells Sam Robb was a better swordsman. He also seems to be slightly less skilled than the knife wielding mutineer that killed Jeor Mormont when he fights him 1v1
I think he's earned a spot at the bottom personally, he's not the best technical fighter, but he always finds a way to win in the end & that's the only thing that really matters in a fight.
Only in the show, in the books Jon is the better swordsman.
@@jordangene1923 no, he's not any better in the books than in the show. I literally mentioned the books in my comment
@@calvinsimpson1301 Seems I didn't reply clearly, what I meant is that Jon is a better swordsman than Robb in the books.
Jon is tough one. In the books he's younger and he's always training and improving, the potential for him to be one of the greats is definitely there. I don't think he's there yet by the end of the last books. Jon also is a warg, and if he can learn to control that ability it could be a massive advantage
1. Arthur Dayne (Dawn is OP)
2. Robert Baratheon
3. Sandoq the Shadow
4. Areo Hotah
5. Criston Cole (the best in his time)
6. Barristan Selmy
7. Oberyn Martell
8. Greatjon Umber
9. Qhorin Halfhand (some believe to have been Arthur Dayne)
10. Way too many to name: Cregan Stark, Daemon Blackfyre, Duncan the Tall, Jaime Lannister, Garlan Tyrell, etc.
Awesome list right there 👌
@@JeremyIceAndFire33I appreciate the acknowledgment. I was stuck between Sandoq and Bobby B being second, but an arakh (modeled after the khopesh) wouldn’t do well against heavy armor (although Valyrian steel, he’d still be fighting a prime Bobby B). I wanted to put Oberyn above Barristan due to Oberyn being extremely proficient with a spear; and spears are proven to be better than swords. Yet, had to give Barristan the respect he deserves.
ive been wondering when someone was going to put Sandoq on their list ! i agree
@@mattamick1163It blows my mind how people sleep on Sandoq and Areo. The warriors from Essos are no joke.
I just recently finished all the books including the knight of the 7 kingdoms and my list is
1. or 2. Arthur Dayne in pure Swordsmanship, and personal bias of the author himself
1. or 2. Barristen Selmy is the most accomplished knight of the seven kingdoms. Also the longest reigning lord commander of the kingsguard brotherhood. never lost a single combat, never lost a duel, never lost a battle except in the trident and never been disrespected by whoever he faced. Gained the respect of even his enemy. Barristen is among the few knights who actually faced too many wars and countless battles and still lived a very long life.
3. Aemon dragonknight said to be the most honourable and finest knight in the seven kingdoms, his feats are unmatched. by reputation aemon tops them all even though some of his feats are unknown yet. Everybody talks about the dragon Knight, Jon snow, Robb stark, Jaime lanister, even barristen is praising the legend of the dragon Knight. Worthy of being the wielder of the valyrian sword darksister. He is the definition of a knight with maximum honor.
4. Robert Baratheon the demon himself has never lost a single combat except 1 when he was no in condition having to fight 3 battles in 1 day in summerhall prior. Crushed the 300 year long targaryen dynasty with his hammer, and ended the best horse rider and the last dragon in the battle of the trident where his men is at a disadvantage of over 5000.
5. Jaime Lanister is a true and natural swordsman and dedicated his life training the sword, though he won less wars and battles, he is a very remarkable knight and swordman
6. Daemon Blackfyre being the greatest according to the books. youngest ever to be knight, the most worthy of the sword Blackfyre who originally belonged to Aegon the conqueror. Never lost to a single combat and is renowned to be the best in his generation. Won tournaments after tournaments, battles after battles and then later on died due to rain of arrows even saving a civilian while he can.
7. Gwayne Corbray is among the best and finest knights of the seven kingdoms, wielder of the famed valyrian steel lady forlorn. had fought Daemon for hours in a single combat.
8. Sandor The hound Clegane the most formidable killer and the sworn shield protector of the heir and future king Joffrey Baratheon. Personally picked by tywin himself, and Jaime approved of his skills on Swordsmanship. the hound is often fighting and winning against many fighters at once.
9. Ser Duncan the tall for he is the most decent and most honourable individual even long before he became a knight. Alongside egg who's actually Aegon targaryen, they traveled the westeros and did countless good deeds as a true knight should be doing. His feats as a kingsguard is way more remarkable than others. The knight that has the most kind and good heart.
10. Garland Tyrell brother of Loras Tyrell. Garland is my personal bias since he is just like the same with Arthur dayne, he trained fighting 3 knights at once. An even better fighter than Loras and has never defeated in duel and single combat. In the battle of the trident garland wore the armor and helm of renly Baratheon and crushed Stannis's frontline and inflicting so much fear in that battle.
Honourable mentions.
Maekar targaryen, Aegon the conqueror, Visenya Targaryen, Victorian Greyjoy, sandoq the shadow, Great Jon, Cregan stark, Brandon Stark, Brienne of tarth, Lewyn Martell, Gerold Hightower, Fire Ball, oberyn Martell, darkstar and Maegor the cruel targaryen.
If I happen to forgot somebody please tell me.
Awesome list!!!
@@JeremyIceAndFire33 I'm sorry man, I don't have oberyn near top 10. Even the mountain is not near top 10. What Sandor clegane did to the mountain in the tournament of the hand is a big testament that the mountain doesn't have what it takes.
Mountain lost to Loras in joust and then got outclassed by the hound in melee to save Loras from that raging mountain.
How is Daemon Blackfyre beneath Aemon Dragonknight Daemon Blackfyre was flat out stated to be superior to Aemon (with the dark sister) and the current wielder of the sword dawn at the time. With Blackfyre in hand he was stated to be completely unmatched on the battlefield and was considered by every single person who ever saw him fight to be the best swordsman they had ever seen.
@@1andOnlyMenz yeah he is more skilled, probably more skilled than even Jaime lanister or Arthur dayne. But this is not only about skills. A big factor to this list as a great fighter is their feats.
Aemond dragonknight 100+ years after his deaths, he is still talked about and a hero to most famed knight.
If you ever think Daemon Blackfyre is that really good, why is nobody talking about him or idolizing him especially in the new generation of knights
@@hexflash. 1st point: because his image and reputation is shunned and nobody is left alive to carry the tales of his skills and prowess. besides the dragon knight is a kings guard and his great deeds are kept in the famous “book of brothers” being more popular and looked up to does not entitle him to being superior in a fight
2nd point: Daemon Blackfyre was considered to be unmatched against anyone he fought the only true match to him would be Ser Srthur Dayne since we was also considered The best knight/fighter to have ever lived
And since Daemon was stated by the Author GRRM himself to be superior to the dragon knight and the current Sword of the morning in 196AC and the heirs of house Dayne can only claim the sword of they are more worthy than the last Sword of the morning so Ser Arthur is leagues above the previous wielders of dawn
3rd point: Aemon “Dragonknight” Targaryen Is hardly spoken of for his skill he’s is mentioned to be a formidable fighter but he’s more known for his great deeds as a Kingsgaurd protecting his brother Aegon IV till the last seconds of his life. My point is Kingsgaurd are glorified whilst daemon was seen as a rebellious userper claimant but all anyone ever talks about when he’s mentioned was he was the spitting image of Aegon the conqueror and his skills in fighting where near completely unbeatable.
1. Ser Arthur Dayne
2.Ser berristian Selmy

Some characters deserve mention. The way Areo Hotah dispatched the kingsguard Arys Oakheart tells something about him. Same for Belwas, considering how he made short work of Meereen's champion.
He killed him when he was on his knees wounded from a crossbow bolt and falling from a horse ( after killing 3 of the dornish guards). Thats hardly an achievement. plus hotah is quite old abd spands almost all of his time guarding the Prince instead of training and fighting
Correction smiling knight wasn’t the leader of the brotherhood. Simon toyne was. I think ser dunkan The tall is another missed one. Daemon blackfyre .
In the books, Ser Criston Cole the Kingmaker is the deadliest man in his era. As if he was the harbinger of great violence. Like the Warrior of the Seven.
I gotta go Red Viper of Dorne. Yes the Mountain killed him bc his emotions got the best of him in a very personal fight.
However… before being taken off his feet bc he looked at Tywin instead of on his opponent, the Viper absolutely destroyed maybe the most fearsome fighter in Westeros at that time. It wasn’t even close. He toyed with him and without the audience and past motivations he would have never taken the spear out of Gregors stomach and bashed his head in or something. Maybe just walk away till he bleeds out……
In a one on one…..I’m taking the Red Viper against all challengers.

Brianne of Tarth makes this special list, as well. That's just me. 💯
Oberyn is not as good as the mountain? Didn't oberyn whoop him lol he's probably top 3
In my head, Areo Hotah is the best fighter in the books. He is just the unsung underdog and everyone forgets him or they don't even know him. But he knows he is the best and can beat everyone.
Top 3 is always Arthur, barristan & jaime. I’d throw Dameon blackfyre & the Dragonknight for 4th/5th

Personally I'd also nominate Artos Stark for the title of best Stark warrior. He was said to be the greatest warrior of his time, at the same time as people like Baelor Breakspear and Duncan The Tall were around. He's the one who defeated the wildling invasion of 226 AC at the Battle Of Long Lake and he personally killed King-Beyond-The-Wall Raymun Redbeard during the battle.
no Brienne?
IIRC Jaime only mentions the Greatjon as one of the (many) people that are stronger than him, but he could beat with speed and skill. There were only two people he thought could beat him and they are not mentioned by name, but assumed to be at least one of the Cleganes and Selmy.
I think the best fighter in game of thrones history is daemon blackfyre
Brandon of the Bloody Blade
Barristan the badass all the way
1 Arthur Dayne
2 Barriston Selmy
3 Jamie Lannister
4 the mountain
5 Blackfish
6 Oberyn
7 Hotah
8 Dunk
9 Brienne
10 great jon umber
Why is brienne and The mountain over sandor?
Khal Drogo ??
The disrespect on Jon Snow here at least in top 4 for me
As much as I like Jon Snow there's tons of fighters in ASOIAF that are far better & more experienced than him, the only reason he even made the list was cause it's a mix of book & show characters. They made Jon a much better fighter on the show than he is in the books. Book Jon doesn't even make the top 20.
Number one should be Cregan Stark and number Twi Aemon Dragonknight. I would give Ser Arthur the number three followed by Ser Barristan. I think Oberyn falls in at the next spot followed by Jamie.
I would say Maegor The Cruel is the best fighter in history, very good in every weapon. Second is Daemon Blackfyre then Arthur Dayne.
John Snow is the prince that was promised
Ser Clarence Crabb 1 through 10.
No Karl Tanner of Gin Alley... he was a fookin LEGEND😢
Haha! A Fookin Legend indeed!
@@JeremyIceAndFire33 I mean he did beat Jon snow🤷♂️
Jon Snow?! He could fight, for sure, but the guy got lucky with an 11th hour save most of the time. I wouldn’t include him in a list of the best ever. Great fighter but not the best along the absolute best to live in the GoT universe
Arthur Barristan and Jamie should be the top three
Sandor should be higher
AREO Hotah gets no love in these videos and I’m not gonna stand for it…
Jaime > Oberyn
With swords, definitely. 2 handed Jaime is the greatest swordsman ALIVE in the books. Oberyn I think would slightly edge out Jaime in a 1v1 (with his spear)
Debatable
Jamie when he still had both hands was the best fighter alive at the time next would be lorris Tyrrell
Arthur Dayne
Barristen Selmy
Robert Baratheon
Jaime The Kingslayer Lannister
Daemon Blackfyre
Oberyn Martell
Gregor and sandor
Where is Sandoq the Shadow on anyones list? just wondering
I feel like the skills of Aemon the Dragonknight and Arthur Dayne are not really proven by accounts of their achievements. It is only their fame and regard by others that support their supposedly godly skills. As opposed to Barristan, Jaime, Sandor, Oberyn who we have details of their deeds.
How come noone ever mention Jaqen Haggar as one of the best fighters?Sure,he is mostly an assassin but he is also so much more!Man should be at least mention!Loras Tyrell above Man himself?Naah!
It’s not a real list without Sir Duncan the Tall
Ser Duncan was a great knight and very strong, but as an overall fighter he doesn’t belong in the top 10
My top 3 were:
1. Ser Arthur Dayne (Sword of the Morning)
2. Barrister Selmy
3. Arya Stark
Arya with he Faceless Men skills would be tough for even the best fighters to handle, nice call!
Perfect choice Mike
Jamie or Bary ,2 best Knight in Song
And what about Ser Duncan the tall? Prince Rhaegar Targaraen? Ser Eddard Stark? Khal Drogo? Prince Daemon Targaraen of Caraxes?
All great fighters but not top 10 worthy with all of the other great fighters in ASOIAF
@@therogueprince5553 you don't know what you are saying. Ser Duncan the Tall, Aemon d black Knight, Lord Cregan Stark, were about the greatest warriors in all of Westeroos
The hound should have been higher than the mountain or on the same level
Ryam Redwine should be on the list.
Personally:
Daemon Blackfyre
Aemon the Dragon Knight
Barristan Selmy
Arthur Dayne
Ryam Redwine
Cregan Stark
Daemon Targaryan
Garlan Tyrell
Artos Arryn
Jaime Lannister
Dalton Greyjoy
Damon Morrigan
Ser Brienne of tarth, defeater of the hound,
Sorry,
Lady Brienne.
Daemon blackfyr
Jon Snow ahead of The Hound?? OMG dude...
Jon Snow has beaten far better fighters than the Hound
I would take the hound > jon
Would like to start off by saying it's a great video, however there's at least two spots in your list that I personally don't agree with and those are the tenth and ninth place, although the hound is said by Jamie to be a pretty dangerous and skilled swordman (leading us to believe he could have a hard time fighting him) I don't think he truly deserves a spot here, like we know he's better then his brother as this last struggled with the hound when trying to kill ser Loras but we have not seen him defeat any skilled warrior, he's definitely one of the best in the current story but to put him in a top 10 in westeros' whole history it's a little too much.
With Jon Snow it's pretty much the same, he's too young and has barely fought a few real battles, like he is a talented swordman, he has potential but when he faced Qhorin half hand he was struggling and this guy wasn't even trying, he stood his ground where a common knight would get his ass whooped but still not enough, he was also beat up by Mance Ryder who seems to be a beast just like Qhorin was. It's not hate towards the characters nor you, both Jon and the hound are among my top 5 favorite characters in ASOIAF but if I were to make the top 10, it'd prolly look like this:
1) Daemon Blackfyre: the warrior himself.
2) Ser Arthur Dayne: sword of the morning.
3) Ser Barristan Selmy: the bold.
4) Ser Aemon Targaryen: the dragon knight.
5) Cregan Stark: the old wolf.
6) Ser Jamie Lannister: the kingslayer.
7) Ser Gwayne Corbray | Ser Ryam redwine | Ser Christon Cole.
8) Ser Duncan: the tall.
9) Qhorin: half hand.
10) Mance Ryder: king beyond the wall.
Why would I put Mance and Qhorin above the hound if what we know about them is basically the same or even less then Sandor? Easy, they find themselves in probably the most hostile and inhospitable place you'd find in westeros, where a little mistake like not having appropriate clothing could cost a limb or could just straight up kill u, still they are described as strong, fast, fierce warriors, they carriage steal which is normal, they're swordmen after all but the thing is that the further north you go the most likely you are to have a chill death without even noticing, this mean that with time even your clothes weight more then the usual now imagine swinging a sword made of steal, your lungs would have the worst time ever, but this guys seems to not get tired, at least by the way we heard they fight when we read Jon's chapters.
Really good list personally I would put maegor too he was a deadly fighter from a young age and his skill only grew with his age
GRRM Said bariston and Arthur were 1 and 2 also i Think the dragon knight is more infamous for his skills than daemond.
This list is meh
firstly how the fuck is John there? he has no buisness at all being in that list
also I would rank The Hound above The Mountain definitely, since he like beat a cracked up version of him
that are things I would've definitely changed, although there may be more
Exactly, how the hell did Jon make the list.
Arthur dayne
Jon Snow is top 10 ? He is not even the best fighter in House of Starrk and he above Sandor ? If this video based on TV Series then why you have the book name on the title ?
Greatjon Umber not top 5 material. His acheivements not better than Robert. OBeryn No Way higher than Jaime or Robert:
He aint have any acheivement against a famous knight/warrior. He was a 1 time show and he died in that show.
Holy Trinity should be ; Dayne, Selmy, Jaime
Not a bad list but it has some major flaws.
Cregan Stark
You left out theon stark and cregan stark...theon was one off the badaass stark to ever live n cregan starrk was also known to be one of the most skilled fighter even aemon targaryen praised cregan to be one of the most skilled swordsman he ever faced....
An argument could be made for Cregan but for Theon, we just don't know enough about his prowess in single combat. There's only 1 account of him ever fighting in single combat against Argos Sevenstar but we dont know how good a fighter Argos was. We know Theon was a great leader & united the North against the Andal Invasion, but far as individual fighting skills go, we don't know enough yet.
