    Great sounds and to be honest the acoustics of a knife is really important as to weather a knife stays or goes in my collection.thanks for sharing pal.atb paddy

      Absolutely Paddy, thanks for watching!

      I'm with you! I've moved a few highly favored pieces because of the action being poor.

    I agree with the 93 and 86 for sure. My ebony 44 is my top 5

    86 has always been at the top of the list for me. And as far as a cam tang goes, my buckaroo is an all time favorite.

    Awesome video. I'm surprised there wasn't a 44 or a 78 on the list. Just off the top of my head, those 2 are probably the best of my collection.

      Definitely could have been. My 44 and 78 both have great action. I do think I enjoy the action on single blades more because the secondaries aren't in the way.

      I never thought about that.

    Wow! What an impressive handful of knives!. They were all stunners but that final knife --before the TC Barlow-- Really works for me. Thanks so much for sharing!

    It's hardly a Beethoven symphony is it? But hey, this is fun. Made me get out my 93 Ramfoot and yes, the action is great. Not top of my F&F likes/dislikes, but a good walk&talk is a lovely thing. My favourites fwiw are my 78s - there's a rare subtlety to the action as well as ticking all the other boxes.

    My all time favorite of the 39 GEC knives that I own is the GEC 735115 Tidioute, Scout, Black Box Brown, Jigged Bone (Rare; 1 of 68) without the liner lock. It is perhaps the thinnest GEC ever made and has excellent walk and talk. I agree with you on the No. 86 and No.15. I wish I had the No.93.

    Interesting topic for comparisons. My first and favorite GEC blade selection, carry and action is the #14 Lick Creek Boy's Knife. This was my first GEC so I'm a bit biased about it but having used it for some time I compare other actions to it.

    $200-500 for a pocket knife is insane.

    Which is worth more, or was most expensive?

      The two that werewere worth the most, the northwoods and Waynorth, are both users so I’m not sure.

    • @KnifeThoughts
      @KnifeThoughts  Před rokem

      No tuna valley for me. SAKs do have nice action but the main value is the consistency and durability.

    Awesome GECs. The only problem is getting them....
