As a cigar aficionado the aged cigars in bourbon casks are essentially a marketing ploy. Doesn’t affect the flavors or aging of the tobacco
I used your code and just placed an order for my diabetic mother, thank you for the savings. 🫡
First dude drinking on the job like a goat.
Hey man if I don’t see my baker baking or painter painting imma be asking questions 😂
@@YOMPoutdoorsexactly 😂🙌🏾

Was literally thinking “and that’s why he’s the goat, the GOAT!”
Best bourbon hunting videos hands down. Much better than cell phones scanning shelves. Editing top notch compared to what is out there. Plus tips on how to go about your own journey either at big retailers or smaller places. Also, Angel's Envy is great in an old fashioned. Had a peach old fashioned with it. Next level.
His boy looks just like his momma
Hey Brewzle another tip is if your Bourbon friend shares a local owned honey hole, be their Bourbon friend and tell the store who sent you so they know who is sending them business. Could help them out with allocated hook-ups or any number of other ways. Especially someone who has a nice size CZcams channel. Keep up the good work and entertaining content.
Loved it when the customer came in and you three guys were pounding bourbon behind the counter. Great video, I learned a lot!
As someone who has only been drinking bourbon for a few months now, this is, hands down, the best bourbon hunting video I’ve seen yet! Thanks!
Tom Le at the first store is a total boss, best shop in Orlando!
edit: Also, don't sleep on the Kozuba Rye Family Selections, 65% Rye and 35% wheat single barrels at cask strength aged 7+ years
Anyone else drinking whiskey while watching these exceptionally well made bourbon hunting videos ?
me
Absolutely. Enjoying a Manhattan.
Needless to say these are the best videos on youtube. Please keep them coming
Great Video. Now that is the kind of bourbon hunting I like, trying out a bunch of different bourbons behind the counter with a group of like minded bourbon connoisseurs.🥃🥃🥃🥃
Not the first Bourbon hunting video I watch and I still see (easily) a dozen new Bourbons I‘ve never heard about. And I‘m pretty sure it will continue like that.
Wish these videos weren’t so expensive and could be done more often😂 best bourbon hunting videos on CZcams without question.
It’s crazy how big bourbon has gotten in the past 10-15 years or so. A lot of bottles you can’t find nowadays were readily available. It blows my mind that you can’t find Buffalo Trace or Blanton’s nowadays.

Similar to the last tip - small communities where the average income is lower don't tend to turn over their allocated bottles nearly as quick. You find the normal museums in those communities but I find they are FAR more willing to negotiate. Liquor stores in high income stores don't keep product on shelf if priced reasonably and they don't negotiate. They have plenty of customers coming in to the shop capable of paying secondary. When you are in a small factory town there are very few people with the disposable income for this hobby. Those are where I tend to pick up Blanton's for close to retail, cheap EHT, and other limited releases. The stores might only get a couple bottles a month but their clients are just there to buy Fireball and lotto tickets, not Blantons.
This matches my experience as well. Even in larger cities, if you can hit some of the more low income areas, some of the higher end stuff sits on the shelf.
Love sitting down, eating dinner in my bar room, sippin bourbon & watching your videos. Some of the best content on YT. Keep em coming 👍🥃🥃
Agree on building the relationship with a local store. And sometimes buying even the higher priced beer, mixers and dodads also help on the road to the allocated. Even paying a bit more… ok, a lot more, for harder to find bottles show you are interested in keeping them in business. We’ll see if it works out this season…. Thanks for the tips, great vid.
Definitely saw some familiar bottles that we’ve tried at our small local bourbon club meetings that we have every other month. I started attending in December and I’ve already learned a lot. Great content as always, much love and cheers from Texas! 🥃🤠
Honestly all of these employees seem pretty cool from every store. Whether it was sampling stuff with you, making good recommendations, or just being up front with you about prices and what they had like the last dude.
Tom at Oviedo FWS is the man!
Great video, TJ! Lots of valuable info for the beginner (like me), I really enjoy your content.
Seeing aftershock really brought me back to my college days in the 90’s. I actually thought they weren’t made anymore.
New to the allocated game. Was talking to an old acquaintance and neither of us knew the other was into bourbons. He's one that goes into the local BevMo frequently and has a relationship with the manager. He knew that the Buffalo Trace allocated was coming in soon. When he got the word, he let me know and I was able to pick up an EH Taylor Small Batch, an Eagle Rare, and a Blanton's. All three for a total of about $185. Can't wait to give them a try. Love the videos. I'm learning so much. Thank you from California!
Two tips I have for your local bourbon store that sells at MSRP and does barrel picks. Buy their picks! Also, don't be afraid to buy non-bourbon items. I pick up wine for my wife while I got to my "honey holes" even if they don't have any bottles for me that day.
🎉🎉E.H.Taylor is my fave,hands down😊😊
Oviedo shop was awesome, loves when gems are scattered round a store
And now my day has been made! 😁
What up Brewzle? Happy Friday brother
I got through college on After Shock, I didn't realize they still made it.
Oviedo is my hometown. I love going around and doing some bourbon hunting when I am home.
I’m crossing my fingers to run into @Brewzle at the Des Moines Whiskey Fest next month.
Its so trippy to watch you walk around my old stomping ground during undergrad (I was there 2018-2022 so not that long ago). I lived right by that Pats, it was my go to store (although I wasn't much into bourbon back then). Hope you enjoyed Orlando/Oviedo!
You and me both dude. Pat’s was actually the first liquor store I ever went in. I just graduated in may, and Pats used to be my second home, until I found out the Winn Dixie Spirits on Lockwood Blvd has everything on average $5 cheaper lol.
That redwood bib grizz is phenomenal. Never got raspberry in a bourbon before until that one.
Love the BH/live streams
Good choice on that redwood. Love mine.
And I just ordered two bottles of the cask strength that you released on Friday.
That Horse Soldier is a great one! You missed out on that one. One of the common ones I enjoy.
Redbreast Cask Strength is outstanding. Definitely a purchase!
Hellyeaaa. I love this videos! We need more
That first store owner was great - OF 1920 is my go-to as well I love that stuff
Central FL is a rough and tough place to hunt. Most times you have to be on the list, win a raffle, or just be lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time at the chains like total wine. And plenty of museums. Really cool to see you visit the places i have.
Si, great content!
i have a friend who absolutely loves the templeton ryes. i do like the sagamore myself
Most of them are flavored so they tend to do well with the sweet and smooth crowd
That Coopers 100 is my jam, love it!!
Great breakdown! I’m still not over the movie but it’s hard not to get my hopes up for this series.
really loving these videos
Glad you like them!
I did not read through the other comments so I am sure that this has already been mentioned, and you knew it was coming. Dude...the Sagamore Double Oaked is the truth! That stuff, even at 96 proof, has some of the best flavor of any whiskey I have had this year. My wife and I opened a bottle of it three days ago and had a pour for the first time. It was not the only pour we had from that bottle that night. The next day I went and bought a back up bottle. We have not, typically, been rye people. Some of my favorite bottles this year have been Stagg (jr) 22A, Wild Turkey 12 year (over seas), and some of the Barrell picks from t8ke among other things. This bottle will easily slot into the top 5, possibly even top 3, that we have tasted so far this year. Very impressed with it.
Great video TJ. Got to meet you at the Louisville meetup. Fun time. I just got a Stagg in GA and also picked up "Savannah" @ 108proof...I'm liking it. Can't wait to get in the Stagg. Keep the great content coming.
Good hunt. Learned a lot. I like that you are going to taste the ones you got on this hunt later. I will make sure to watch as you purchased some very interesting whiskeys. I enjoy your videos.
Im new to bourbons and whiskeys thank you for this great video
That Old Ezra 7 year Rye at the last stop is a winner!
Just grabbed a larceny barrel proof B523 at +$20 over msrp. I’m pretty happy with that find as the allotment shelf was pretty empty by the time I got to the local wine and liquor store. Love the videos!
Red Breast Irish Whiskey is an amazing pour!
You made a wise decision on the 10yr Templeton, that bottle is extraordinary
Everyone talks about "it's about relationships" which is true, but it really comes down to understanding how local stores make their money. You want to get in with them, you learn that model.
Brewzle you are the man!! I love the videos next time you come to central Florida maybe tried other places close to the Orlando area like St Cloud and / or Kissimmee.
Would love to go hunting for bourbon with you
Pronounced “Oveedo” , can’t wait to see what you found…as a long time Orlando resident this extremely intrigued me.
Most folks not from Florida don’t know how to pronounce Florida city names
@@decknightontherocksbourbon Hence this guys comment...
This was fun
I love that Grizzly Beast bottle so much. I regret not buying a backup
Great video!
The JW blue irish whiskey reference made me chuckle. Cheers Brewzle.
That first store is a great store. Awesome video.
Brewzle we need a full tour of the house. Looks like a sick mid century modern Reno.
Nice, I just ordered a bottle online from barrel 31. Cant wait.
Im from Orlando much love
I love Redwood Empire. I’m a fan of everything they do!
Just got pipe dream and it’s so good need to try the others
Old soul cask strength is hands down one of my favorite bourbons out there
Florida is the museum of bourbon museums.
Missed out on an old smooth ambler bourbon! Their founders bottles are phenomenal
@Brewzle - Grab that 2XO! Both the Phoenix and the Innkepper's Blend are Great!!!
Great hunt video as usual.
That W.B. Saffel isn’t being made anymore and it’s really good. Probably should have snatched that up
Always fun!
Yes it is!
Toms a good man!!
So I camped out last month at this store's allocated event. Great fun was had by all!!
4:10 I've always wondered what if the store owner/keeper collects rare bourbon.
Nooooo you were in my neck of the woods?! Aw man… would have loved to take you around to some of my favorite stores! Maybe next time! Love your videos
Those walking Sticks are so good
Lock Stock and Barrel is great!
The macallan 18 is incredible
Missed a golden chance to go to Hangry Bison for lunch. Not only good food but also a large selection of Bourbons.
That looks like so much fun! Just traveling and buying bottles. I live in north Idaho, so State run stores.. So thinking Road Trip
That aftershock goes for 2x on secondary lol wild
The Bronson Liquors on Seidel Rd in Winter Garden has a few bottles of store pick Knob Creek Single Barrel. I picked one up today, super excited to try it tonight
I’m in the Chicago area. Lots of privately owned liquor stores, and chain stores that are privately run, where you can speak directly with the owners/operators freely. In my experience, building a relationship and rapport with these guys and regularly shopping with them does little to nothing in your Bourbon hunting journey. I agree with you when you say it’s all about having “friends” and by friends I of course mean people you have known for years who actually like you.
Yes a burbon hunting video. I definitely needed this today
The High West Campfire is really good
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 4 on this one TJ.
Such great content.
Great video. Everyone should build a relationship with their local liquor store. I go in every Friday to my local store and always leave with something. And she gets a big Christmas bonus.
That driftless glen is great
others have probably said this, but that Few Rye really is incredible
What a great video
Great video. I’m in NY and raffles are very rare. I usually see them behind the desk at a jacked up price. Insane price (a museum I guess)
Man, I loved that first store! That is a good owner who likes to have some fun.
Driftless Glen is good stuff, but if you can find the limited wheated… that is where it is at! If you have never seen it or tried it, I would be more than happy to send you a sample bottle of it.
Also, Brothers Bond in my opinion is not something you want to try.
Great hunting video, looks like you had some fun, thanks for taking us along for the ride!
that redbreast cask strength is absolutely killer
We really enjoy the Driftless Glen definitely give them a try
I like to see your videos over many other videos for that good bottle.
That redwood grizzly is so good. I have 3 bottles of batch 2 stocked and I still want more
That Balvenie TON 1509 is great!
It depends on who works at the big chain stores as to whether or not you can have a relationship. When I visit my in-law's two or three times a year, there's a chain store right down the road that has a guy working there that remembers who I am. I can't imagine he doesn't know his regular customers. I don't know if he helps anyone out, but he is friendly.
that ending was hard!
