@@heathkill4821 Methanol REALLY likes high compression. Typical Methanol race engines run at 16:1 CR. Although Methanol turbo charged applications with high compressions are less common (as it truly is easier going with low compression and letting boost care of the rest), they do exist and present a usage case; IE scenarios where one would have to use a smaller methanol injected engine, but would like to spool a larger framed turbo faster. Compression ratios of north of 14.5-15.0:1 aren't unheard of for turbo charged applications. Less prevalent, but not unheard of. Besides, when you are using methanol, its not the piston you are worried about. Why would the piston be of concern in particularly high CR setups, the whole point of methanol (aside from its charge cooling effect and the oxygen it carries) is its high octane compared to gasoline, which PROTECTS the piston under the conditions you are speaking of. *scratches head* keyboard warrior.

Great video! 4 valves per cylinder VVL wouldn't yield more than 5 valves per cylinder? BTW in my opinion the exporter uses the older (4.2.12) calculation method for turbo engines. When the 4.2.13 has released few days ago I could slightly modify my turbo engines which meant few more kw and Nm. Yet when I exported the cars to Beamng (changed the names so the 4.2.12 versions remained) they don't have more power and torque.
I don’t think VVL would add power, the maximum amount of air you can put in the engine would be with 5 valves and more air means more power VVL would help with that torque curve however
currently the Automation version I got on Steam (LCV4.2.13 Open Alpha) has no VGT that I can see, and V8's only have twin fixed geometry turbos. sadge.
I'll go back to beamNG when it becomes more precise. It's frustrating to recreate a real engine as close as possible and end up with something so different.

The real thing to point out is that it's 10.4:1 on methanol, which is stoichiometric at 6.5:1.
