    I was just eating peeled sunflower seeds and was thinking about how they peel all of these so I looked it up pretty cool process

    • @agrifirst

      Thanks,Rose. there are several ways to peel sunflower seeds, some use teeth roller, some use scratching belt. Ours are centrifugal force. Seeds rotate by expeller and smash on the inner body of the huller.Husks break and kernels fall down

    I guess it's a trade secret as to how the kernel is actually separated from the shell.

      Not trade secret: shells get sucked out by negative pressure formed by a blower.

  • @rustyscrapper
    @rustyscrapper Před 8 měsíci

    I guess there isnt a small scale home owner version that exists.
    All I found is ones that do 1 seed at a time manually, and fake videos.

      We have such a machine for small family farm. It can process 30-50kg per hour. Is that what you need? or you wanna a even smaller model?

  • @Richiesrant
    @Richiesrant Před 4 měsíci

    Doesn't show how they are shelled. Only how they are separated after.

    • @agrifirst
      @agrifirst  Před 4 měsíci

      They are shelled by impact huller which cannot be seen. The hullers are the drum-like devices.

  • @luisrios1962
    @luisrios1962 Před 9 lety +2

    Too wasteful. There's seeds all over the floor. Looks like if you put in 100 lbs. of shells you'd get 1 lb. of seed after your machine is done. People don't plant crops just so they can be wasted by this monstrosity.

    • @agrifirst
      @agrifirst  Před 7 lety +5

      Dear Kurt,Thanks for your comments but we can not make a decision for you. The investment is enough for the business as startup. The problem is the market which needs a deeper investigation. The business in Bulgaria is OK now. It was booming since for almost 8 years. Now Bulgaria is the largest processing center for sunflower seeds kernels. They aim at European market. So do some researching on the market before the investment. Good luck. My email is dehuller@yahoo.com, welcome to communicate and discuss.
