After separating in the mortar try screning the mixture in a 1/4" or 3/16 screen. The larger unhulled seeds will stay on top and the smaller hulled seeds and bits of hull will fall through. Then blow gently on the mixture to remove the small pieces of hull to get clean seeds.
Could you put them in the water after you crushed them? I read somewhere that the seeds will sink to the bottom and the skins will float. Then you can scoop the skins out.
i saw someone using a filter after the motor part The 'pan filter' looks similar to the bar filters by the sink that enables water to go down the drain but traps everything else... But its a pan-size filter that separates the shell from the seed and the whole process was completed within 3 minutes with the tool w/o having to try and separate them with the naked eye... and it also won't create a shelly mess on the floor.
I bet a flour sifter with the spinning wheel would throw up the skins and heavy seeds would stay low but do it over a blanket to catch missing in action seeds
Maybe using a rolling pin and then the mortar is more effective for breaking all the shells. Then why not using water to sparate the edible and the shells?
I wonder if you can separate the broken shell from the seed with a wind tunnel? Just an old barrel from a clothes dryer cocked at an angle, with a fan blowing through it? I bet I could rig the whole thing to an old bicycle, fan and all. Hmm...makes me think.
I got some flavored sunflower seeds and the way people eat them in the shells gross at the waste of food. So I tried soaking them in water it helps but feels so long and boring me out
You can also leave them on water after you peeled them. The shell will raise up and then remove it easily.
Thanks for the suggestions.
nice one
Thank you for uploading this video this is more faster then using teeth
Thank you for watching
Ok, so there is no easy way! 😌
Thanks for showing your methods. They’re incredibly helpful!
You are most welcome

Thanks for the tips👍
That looks really effective. Thank you (:
You are welcome
Thank you!!
Thanks!!!
That's a good idea,I never thought of that
I had to try this because I couldn't find the already-peeled sunflower seeds
Do you have to wait and let the sunflower heads dry before you crush them? Or can you do them while they’re freshly picked.
Thank you!
You are most welcome 🙏

Yes that's another method of selecting the seeds from the skin
I think so. This method may lose seeds
I like this method 🌻😌👍
Thanks so much 🙏
No... there must be an easier, faster and more effective way! Lots of them ended up on the floor.
From india 😍😋😀
Thank you
It can be stored in the fridge for up to a month or in the fridge for up to two months

^note: this was without any electronic device or machine which some can do it in a matter of 'seconds'
excellent
Thanks
You’d make a great gold panned
Nice 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Good idea. But can we follow same process for water melon, muskmelons n pumpkin seeds???
Yes, as long as they're dried you can use this method. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the video, please how do we now prepare it for eating, thank you
You simply toast it over heat and eat
@@OnyxFoodHill , thanks so mich, please with or without salt please?, Thanks
@@eatwell_foods it all depends on what you need. I don't add salt to mine, but you can add to yours if you want.

WoW that's good but I will look for the ones that are done lol .
I looked for them too but couldn't get that was why I had to do this.
@@OnyxFoodHill I know are you going to show us how to make the sunflower oil?
By early next week!
@@OnyxFoodHill Thank you
this is shit procedure .i applied but cnt get even one seed peel .just she is showing to us
Use cold water and stir rigorously

You have to try that. When the air is much, both the seeds and shell gets blown away.
Oh I forgot, this is assuming that you start with a "mountain bike", uh one with gears for speed. I forgot, sorry.
I think I would try sifters
Okay, that is another great way
are those roasted seed or raw
They are raw
Hi there, Are these roasted?
No, they are not
@@OnyxFoodHill Thanks! Great video.
@@rutht8570 you are welcome

You should not be allowed near a keyboard.
i by mistake ate the shell should i be worried
its ok lol
I saw some good sunflower seeds flying onto the ground. You win some, you lose some
Lol, that's what actually happens when dealing with some tiny seeds like sunflower seeds
Am I the only person who bites the tip to get the seeds out (yes it works) 😅
Me me....i am here
It takes much more time 😂😂😂😂
