Neat that you can hold and operate the PL368 with one hand. Also like the MW ferrite rod antenna that you can rotate instead of turning the radio.

Very nice. I really like the form factor. Really like the ETM + function. Very useful feature.

Nice radio. I use a Kindle stand/cover for desk use with my PL-360, it clips on fine and enough room for another. On the Pl-360 an EFW into the antenna jack works well on AM as well as FM/SW. 👍🏼

The batteries in the older versions are three double-a, not triple-a. The big improvement in the new model is, as you point out, direct keypad entry.

Looks like a neat lil radio, Tom! Thanks for sharing and I look forward to your upcoming videos regarding the radio..

cool little radio, will wait to see your future videos on it, don't really like the cellphone battery though, aaa may not last as long but they are much easier to get a hold of.

Greetings and salutations Tom, how can I send you an audio file on my Tecsun PL-368 when I am hearing the audio producing a warbling/distortion effect in the audio?

Tom, does this thing have any RF gain control? I haven`t finished the video yet but I`m assuming no. Why can`t they make a digital RF gain control for these radios (like the little Tecsun under 100 with SSB or the CCrane Skywave) so we can connect better antennas for better long range reception without overload? Is digital RF gain possible? From my experience in the past with a Sangean made Radio Shack receiver a fully adjustable RF gain control can`t be beat for use with extremely long wire antennas.
My reception using an antenna over 250 feet long was incredible with the gain knob turned all the way down. No noise at all, just a clear voice signal with an extremely quiet background. I asked CCrane why they don`t give us RF gain controls and their excuse is their radios are portable. So was my Radio Shack Sangean DX-392. But we had a severe hurricane and I screwed up and left Duracell D batteries inside it. That was the only time I used non-rechargeable batteries in it.

Even an attenuator be nice.. I like my dx394 has switch in back for plus rf gain but desktop ..

@@LegacyLost I bought a soldering kit and plan to try to make something that will allow me to use some of my shortwave radios with resonant antennas. I have a Grundig G6 Aviator so sensitive that to use SSB without overload I have to collapse the antenna. My Tecsun PL-660 at least has a gain switch but at my current location it`s too noisy to string out a long wire.
I`m moving soon to a location with plenty of space for very long antennas with no houses nearby and I`m hoping I can string out shortwave and AM broadcast band antennas and get clean signals. The AM band comes alive with an antenna a few hundred feet long connected to an inductive loop or coil. And shortwave is so much more interesting, especially all the SSB signals outside the HAM bands, with a very long antenna. At least this was the case in the 1990s.

Hi Tom , have you tried the plug in am antenna in any other radios ?

Perhaps 9:36 is UTC alarm default time set at the factory or the alarm default time set when the battery voltage power is first detected.

The Nokia battery lives on in China. They should standardize on a few cell dimensions. I still have a Nokia telephone, but replacement batteries are not common anymore. The tall form factor is strange. It pretends to be a walkie talkie and requires a stand.

BL5-C's are very common and used in a lot of small devices, less than $10 on ebay/amazon. Never had a problem with them fitting the tecsun or my other gear
