Can I restore this 20yr old Bass Boat? Lets see what I got myself into!

I picked up this 2004 Ranger 185VX Comanche Bass Boat and I plan to restore it to my best ability. I really hope I can partner with a few brands and promote how much of a difference we can make on this rough condition boat. Follow the journey as I tackle the following list!

GelCoat Restoration (It feels like sand paper and is BEAT!)
New Bench Seats
Carpet
Batteries
Battery Tender
Engine Maintenance
Trolling Motor
Electronics
Its going to need a lot of love but I am excited for you to see the results as we go!

You can also get a regular key to start it in case the key pad goes bad which sometimes they do. Can’t wait to see the finished product ! My Ranger is 10 years old. 👍👍

I have a 1996 354 XT. I want to sand and restore it, but i am being told the jellcoat is not thick enough to sand it. Does anyone know if this is tgue or not?

Well if its already pretty rough whats the worst that could happen? There are some products that you wipe on and it “restores” the gelcoat too! Maybe try that option? This is brutal!
