Last year I found a "grading calculator" that told be how much an assignment would add to me grade. So when I fell behind as I always did I used it to figure out specifically which assignments put together would get my grade up the highest while not being to hard to complete. Then I focused on only those late assignments so that I didn't have to stress over getting every single late assignment done. I passed with my lowest grade being a C that year. The years before that I struggled a ton. Losing motivation; falling back on assignments, getting stressed, falling back farther because I'm stressed; not trying because "I'm gonna fail anyways". But ever since last year I've been trying harder and finding ways that work for me. It's only the second day of school but I have my very first math assignment fully finished and ready to be turned in tomorrow :D
Now I know how it feels when people hear me talk they look at me sideways and go huh Bc I didn’t pick up a thing you just said I can’t even read that fast😭😭 can someone put down what she said
"Listen, if you have ADHD, here are my three survival tips for school. Number one. If you can, get an iPad to write all your notes on. Why? Because then all your notes are in one place instead of between five books that you're going to lose four of. Number two. Get two pencil cases. One of them stays in your backpack, the other one stays in your desk at home. And if your degree requires something like a lab coat, lab goggles, anything like that. If you drive, they stay in your car. And if you don't, they stay in your backpack. You will thank me later. Number three. When adding assignments to your calendar, also add in the percentage of your grade that they're worth because it's significantly more motivating and it also allows you to figure out how much time you should be allocating to these [assignments]."

Ok so I’m getting ADHD tested in 2 weeks and I’m a nervous wreck 😰 is there any tips on like when you get tested? I would love it so much 🥰 also I LOVE ur videos they make me so much more comfortable
Omg I can help! Keep a notes app on your phone and keep track of how your potential ADHD hinders you throughout the day. Like time blíndelas made you late for an appointment, overstimulation made it difficult for you to complete a task that NEEDED to be done, oversensitivity made you feel self conscious and unloved by a friend because they didn’t text back, etc. You’d be surprised how often ADHD can effect your day to day life. And that’s what doctors are looking for. Everyone can relate to each symptom of ADHD, but having the disorder causes it to negatively effect your everyday life and makes it impossible to function or cope like neurotypical people do. Just Be honest with your doctor and DONT get discouraged if you don’t get a diagnosis ESPECIALLY if you’re female since doctors tend to overlook symptoms in us. You Can always ask for another opinion or perhaps explore different diagnoses that it might be. Hope this helps and good luck!!! And don’t doubt your experiences just because you’re not “cErTiFiEd”. I now lived for 17 years without realizing I probably have adhd and my school life has improved so much this semester. I started using a tablet and a very light suitcase for the bare minimum of pens and other necessaries that can stay in my backpack as I am at home doing homework and it’s the best thing I ever did. And now I see those as adhd tips lol. Your life hacks and stories of adhd have helped me so much over the last few months and I am thinking of getting diagnosed soon. Although I am a little scared of adhd meds😅
For those in university, visit your accessibility services department and see what you can get for accommodations. And take them! Some of mine included being able to record lectures (ok so I never got around to listening to them but this might help some of you 😅), time and a half to write all quizzes/tests/exams, as well as a quiet room to myself to write them. I also had an accommodation allowing me to turn in papers and projects late.. That one I do NOT recommend 😂 PS anyone else have to tell your brain to shut up through an entire lecture? 😬😬 “shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up”
also: keep a planner or schedule your assignments. i use notion and it worked perfectly for my needs, theres built in sections for to do, doing, and done, though i added urgent to mine as well. really helps and is super nice to look at how much you’ve done!
I can really confirm the IPad one works! If you forget you textbook, you can even take pictures from your classmates book and don't have to borrow one 😉😂
I did 1 and 2 and got myself a master's degree! I calculated out the worth of my assignments a different way, but with the same goal in mind for 3. Great advice!
Watching your videos made me get the courage to finally talk to my parents about adhd and the possibility of me struggling with it. I have a plethora of adhd and autism related problems at once and it's been a tough subject to explain. Your videos really helped me find ways to explain to my parents that what they consider normal in my behavior isn't actually something that should be happening (because they know me for a long time and they can't compare to anyone else because I'm an only child). Now I've found a way to explain why "just focus" doesn't work, and why it's so hard to handle tasks. Thank you, this content really means a lot to me.
It’s likely one of your parents also has adhd, which would make your behaviour seem even more normal. My mom (who very clearly also has adhd) didn’t believe I did, because I “was smart” 🙄 until I paid for an assessment and was able to show her in person.
An idea my mom gave me since I’m going to college is to get a calendar in my room on the wall so I know when stuff come up, I also can’t lose it if it stays on the wall
I take the one place rule seriously with small things that you need but cant be bothered looking for later. i tell my mom im buying 3 lip glosses so theres one in each of my going out bags and one by my dresser. i buy less glosses throughout the year that way. really good
Having several copies of important items is something that many people overlook all the time. Many items are cheap today, except food, transportation and time to collect or prepare them.
The live scribe notebooks and echo smart pen are a life saver. Seriously shell out the money and buy it. The pen records the audio while you're writing notes. You can transfer the audio and notes over to a laptop. That way you can listen to lectures repeatedly, change the speed, and it also saves your notes (and connects the audio, just click on the term and you'll be able to hear the audio that was happening when you wrote it). Again, serious life saver for days I couldn't concentrate even when I was medicated.
Thank for talking so fast ! 😂 honestly I have ADHD and I can’t stand when people take so long to get to the point. I follow through and don’t miss a word .
I was getting worried about cleaning my house knowing I’d do a terrible job of it alone and then I decided to just watch your videos on repeat throughout the whole process and I feel so much better about it thank youuu ❤️
The fact that all through undergrad I had to keep 2 of everything and now being in grad school having 2 of everything but recently being diagnosed with ADHD makes me feel like I was doing something right all along 🥹
I have pens and pencils in every bag because sometimes I switch which bag I use for the day and forget to switch everything over. Doubling everything is always good
The second one is a godsend for the workforce in that you keep your uniform in your backpack or in your work locker NO MATTER WHAT. Same for any work tools you bring with you and whatnot.
That last one is a good one I had a class I was a little behind on I skipped an assignment after finding out not doing it wouldn't make that much difference focused on doing better on something else worth more points. Skipping the one cost me .02% But the one I focused on I received full marks and increased my grade. Ended the class with 99.88%
My friend asked me “why is she talking so fast”, and I replied with “she’s speaking the language of my people”.
Didn’t realize she was speaking “fast” until this comment 😂
Which is so great too, cause say I couldn't fully process what she mentioned at the end of number 2, I only need to wait a little while longer for her to repeat it again and then I understand

That't why I love her. Most of other channel I have to pump up the speed cause if the video is too slow, I'm losing interest

i love how you made the numbers with your poses haha
I had to watch this like 3 times cuz I kept focusing on literally everything else, you lost me at school, I am so sorry-
Watching your videos made me get the courage to finally talk to my parents about adhd and the possibility of me struggling with it.
I love that she posed as the numbers!
I have adhd and this helped me so much
I had to watch this 10 times because I forgot my meds so I couldn’t focus on words 😅
The last one is GENIUS!
Thank you ❤, people always talk so slow and now there is someone that I can understand super fast. ADHD in school is hell 😅
That tip 3 was something I learned early on was KEY
An idea my mom gave me since I’m going to college is to get a calendar in my room on the wall so I know when stuff come up, I also can’t lose it if it stays on the wall
I take the one place rule seriously with small things that you need but cant be bothered looking for later. i tell my mom im buying 3 lip glosses so theres one in each of my going out bags and one by my dresser. i buy less glosses throughout the year that way. really good
I love how fast you talk. I follow flawlessly. My friends always tell me I talk too fast. I reply,"No, you listen too slow."
This is why I have more than one of things, I can’t be trusted to take something along with me.
Number 1: your content is amazing number 2: I died laughing at your body numbers and it kept me watching 😂👏 that 3 was impeccable
Again, serious life saver for days I couldn't concentrate even when I was medicated.
you are a live savior 😢
#1 scared tf outta me. It was like a jumpscare 🤣
The numbers 😂
Okay but self diagnosing myself and using these saved me life
Tools that speed up and simplify tasks are a godsend. If I need to jump through hoops to do something, I won't.
You being the numbers is amazing
That is lifesaving, especially the one about multiple pencil cases
I need to know how much time to allocate to assignments. It doesn't mean I'm going to do them, but it does help me understand what my choices mean.
The speed actually lets me concentrate on the talking omg
I like handwritten notes, but to get the same "all-in-one-place" effect, I got one big notebook with sections!
I wasn’t paying attention but when you changed positions for when u were saying the numbers it would snap me back into reality
That last one honestly saved me
Right when I graduate I get such great advice. Hopefully you folks in college get to benefit
That third one just blew my mind
I love how you’re speaking so fast cause or else i’d be too distracted by the half of this video 😭
Any girls like guys with add??
Thank for talking so fast ! 😂 honestly I have ADHD and I can’t stand when people take so long to get to the point. I follow through and don’t miss a word .
you jumping in the shapes of the numbers kills me😂
As someone who has been through college and almost finished my bachelors... you are correct. Good advice.
The grade percentage one YES. But also if you’re like me you’ll spend way too much time rewriting those percentages on notebooks you will lose lol
tysm. Stuff like this really helps. I don't have ADHD, but I have extreme anxiety and almost every single symptom of it.
You are my savior
I was getting worried about cleaning my house knowing I’d do a terrible job of it alone and then I decided to just watch your videos on repeat throughout the whole process and I feel so much better about it thank youuu ❤️
The fact that all through undergrad I had to keep 2 of everything and now being in grad school having 2 of everything but recently being diagnosed with ADHD makes me feel like I was doing something right all along 🥹
The captions are so helpful tho
That percentage thing just helped me decide what assignments not to do at all
I have pens and pencils in every bag because sometimes I switch which bag I use for the day and forget to switch everything over. Doubling everything is always good
Honestly watching your videos for hacks of ADHD even tho i have ADD, they help SOOOOOO much.
i can’t tell u how many times i had to replay this video 😭😭
The % tip is gold! Working on the two pencil cases, buying the two sets of pens each time
Not me daydreaming through the whole video, so I had to watch it a few times
Thankyouuuu so much for talking at a speed I can ACTUALLY understand!!! I hate it when people talk slow!!! 🥹
Stuff staying where is needed best is how I get through my day.
To everyone still in school, know that life with ADHD gets SO much better and easier when you finally finish school, and you can do it!!!
The numbers were the best part of this
I would end trying and then get distracted😅
I feel validated yet attacked 😅
These are good tips in general. They can be adapted for regular life.
Had to watch this 4 times bc I kept zoning out on the 2 dots behind her right shoulder
This is actually brilliant
The second one is a godsend for the workforce in that you keep your uniform in your backpack or in your work locker NO MATTER WHAT. Same for any work tools you bring with you and whatnot.
Nearly a year later update: still using this because it's useful.
That last one is a good one
I had a class I was a little behind on
I skipped an assignment after finding out not doing it wouldn't make that much difference focused on doing better on something else worth more points. Skipping the one cost me .02%
But the one I focused on I received full marks and increased my grade. Ended the class with 99.88%
I always tell people I have a magic bag the eats paper and spits out confetti 😅. The ipad was a genuine life saver
