But it is exactly how science works, obviously its an oversimplification because density, location etc etc are all variables that affect the result. However there will be a level of CO2, including location and density, where the negative effects of climate change begin receding.
But instead she denies this and then states that the right thing to do is to lower our emissions as much as possible. That is denying the scientific elements of the debate and replacing it with a cliche of 'try our best'.
That showed how she doesn't know what she is talking about.
Another thing that highlights this is her desire to appeal to emotions, using her 'metaphor' calling people to panic. Combine these two and you have a child who really is out of her depth.
Nonetheless her answers are really good and for her age she is obviously very well spoken and thinks things through. Unfortunately she's like a swan amongst sharks.
Before the industrial revolution. CO2 was 180ppm, we are now at 375ppm, the optimal ppm for plant groth is 1200ppm. Plants, our crops would grow at their maximum, and need less water, more food and more water to drink. Win, win. When the Earth was at 180ppm we were 30ppm from the world dieing. Literally. The Earth has seen 4400ppm, oxygen was 30% and globally lush, and tropical.
Less than 1% of out atmosphere is CO2...
Drop it much lower and what do trees have left to survive on...

And if it is man made, where is the break even point in trying to control it!? Quit dumping into our oceans, truly recycle and move towards reusable preferably natural made products (even if it costs a little more). And what are we going to do with all the batteries? People don’t seem to have a clue how harmful some of these materials are.
