The problem for us is our toddler loves to throw our phones into the toilet. With that little space that is still open, she can still throw stuff in the water!!!
Might be nice to show the installation.

this left a huge gap of space on my toilet, I'm returning it :(
Looks like it lifts up just enough for a child to slide their arm in & then slam the lid down on it. No thanks.
Product sucks! Child could still lift it up with a little gap and slide hands/fingers inside! How this products even gets pass inspection or patent??
