I swear, this comment hate is some bandwagoning bullshit. I have NEVER seen any sort of hate towards Mark, on Highrollers or even his own channel, and he acts the same way on both channels, with Trott being with him on Highrollers.

The Hat Films community is a traditionally toxic one. Just look at people's reactions to Kim being in videos back in the day. Or the recent uproar from them starting Patreon.
Different combinations produce different results. Trott or not, I never found High Rollers entertaining to begin with due to everyone else in the series. Mind you, while I don't find Mark very funny at all, I don't despise him either, but I can see why many would: he's too confident. He doesn't really fit in with the Yogscast style of self-deprecating humour.
The bigger problem here, at least to me, are the games they're playing. This game was particularly confusing to follow and not very intuitive or interesting, the last one was just rather boring in general (the fact they didn't know the rules properly didn't help either). The more psychological and/or creative board games like the ones played on the main channel or, say, the co-optional lounge, work much better in this format. These games just don't give them many opportunities to be witty, sneaky or funny.
I advise you to try watching High Rollers actually.
Trott and Matthew Toffolo makes it really fun and watchable. The others are just there as fillers in my opinion; and only one in HR that mildly annoys me is Kim
This is pretty classic Yogscast comment section. Most of these people probably don't even have a problem with Mark, its just bandwagon troll hating on anyone not usually in the channel.
Man... just read Smith's comment and realised that to enjoy something and just give a thumbs up is not enough in this world of self entitled children who want everything their own way. If you like something then you really need to show it. Those who take a dislike for the most trivial of reasons are just more vocal about it since it is easier to complain than to praise I guess.
So here goes. Great to see you in these videos Mark. Love the enthusiasm you bring to every video you're in and really enjoy being introduced to all these different types of games. Personally I enjoy it more when Hat Films get involved with others from the office occasionally as fresh meat brings a nice variety to the videos. Hope to see more of Mr. Hulmes on other's channels too. Keep it up.
it's good to see Mark. i didn't realise there was any dislike towards him he is one of my favourite people associated with the yogscast.
Mixes in perfectly well, like a Turps lite, many have already said. Sips, Turps, or Hulmes. Or maybe all three.
I find it interesting that when people see a video with someone they dislike in it, such as inthelittlewood or Mark Hulmes, they choose to comment their dislike instead of just skipping or just not watching that video.

This gets better when you consider that in the Rick and Morty universe, there are infinite alternate realities, all a lil different than the others, but that also means, that technically, the events here... are cannon.

I usually don't comment as I prefer to lurk in the shadows, but I feel compelled to support Mark. He hasn't been in many videos with the lads, but I've enjoyed every one so far and have started watching the videos on his channel as well.
I love all Hat Films content. They are the only channel I'm subbed to that a can actually watch every video they put out and enjoy the content perfectly. I consider myself sooo lucky to have stumbled upon these guys 6 years ago.

Good to see the toxicity has been flooded by support in large part due to the genuine good u three emit through your content. I think the way Smith resolved this issue is a testament to good community management and contrasts with Angry Joe entirely. The entitlement of some people does shock me though, as though they have more say in your channel and friendships than you guys. Also, shout out to GCSE results whoop.

Ever since I watched the High Rollers d&d stream vods when I was bored (I later went on to watch all 50 of them in a space of 3 months) I think Mark is one of my favourite (ex)members of the yogs. It pains me to see people insult him for the sake of insulting him, I personally really enjoy seeing him in some of the Hats' videos. Please carry on making videos with him, even if they have to just be on his channel because of the hate on this one. One of the reasons I still watch the yogs and the Hats' videos is because of the community built around it, since when did we start hating on one of our own?

I don't know if the comments were removed, but I'm not seeing any hate towards Mark. I'm not pretending it wasn't there as I'm sure it was. But the point I want to make is as follows: The love and support for Mark is *destroying* the hate in terms of vocal volume *and* upvotes. Further reason not to let those harmful souls ruin your mood, Mark!
This room needs a camera positioned above the middle of the table looking straight down. Would make it much easier to get proper shots on the cards and plays, and it wouldn't be difficult to edit those in (and also much easier to zoom when necessary).

I liked this video but the game was a bit confusing. I want more board game or card game videos. Also I read the comments and was quit shocked. I like Mark a lot, now I have not seen the D&D stuff (since I think that's quite boring) but everything else that he is in is great. I think he should be in more gaming videos.
