➡ It doesn't get any bigger than this. It's FC Porto vs Benfica SL. The two biggest teams in Portugal go head-to-head in possibly the biggest and most important match of the year, as both teams are playing for the league trophy.
Even though we have never been big football fans we decided to go to this match as the atmosphere supposedly couldn't get more insane. We were NOT disappointed! It was a magical experience where you can feel all 50.000 people be 100% emotionally engaged in this match. This is definitely an experience that everyone has to try. You might not be as lucky as us to get tickets to a match of this caliber, but any game on Estadio de Dragao (or Estadio da Luz) is worth it. The Portuguese football culture is simply just INSANE!

@Carlos Saraiva I think you just came up with a good idea for a new sport. Once a year, everyone who gets a government paycheck (politicians and bureaucrats) have to appear for a public ball-kicking. People would pay a fee to do the kicking and also, spectators would be charged to watch. Within 5 years, I guarantee all national debt would be eliminated.

The stadium was built when Portugal hosted the EUROPEAN NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP in 2004. The opening game was played at Estadio do Dragão. The final was at Estadio da Luz.

Portugal hosted the Euro 2004 and not the Champions League. Euro2004 was the porpuse of the building of several new stadiums in Portugal, including this one.
And the Final wasn't played in that stadium (Estádio do Dragão - Porto), Estádio da Luz (Benfica) was the elected.

I'm a Sporting supporter and I recognize that when you talk about the "greatest match" or "greatest rivalry" it's between Porto and Benfica.
But with a channel called "Stay Classy", you have to consider visiting a Sporting match xD (Sporting used to be the "elite" club, although today that's not true).
Oh, and if you complain about the lack of originality in football's songs, Sporting it's certainly the most original, at least of the "big 3".(maybe personal opinion only, but I think not, my wife is a Benfica supporter, and I always catch her singing the Sporting songs).
