Mais estranho é um clube que antes de um presidente entrar era 0 e depois da sua entrada, e as suas ações muito envolvidas em polémicas e corrupção, passou a ser um grande e hoje em dia continua a ter benefícios constantes nos jogos. In the past, this was the biggest game in Portuguese football. But that has long changed... since the early 90's. Since then, there is no question about it... The biggest game of the season by far is Benfica - Porto / Porto - Benfica. These are the biggest and most successful football clubs in Portugal. Sporting is and will always be the small underdog that will try to get in the way of the 2 clubs. As for the Sporting fan in the video that says that Benfica has titles and Sporting history... I'd say that is the most absurd thing i've heard in quite sometime. In this video, Manuel Fernandes only says that this is the biggest game in Portugal so that Sporting still feels relevant in this battle. Nothing else.

And I like to clarify why Sporting is known as high class club. Its about our foundation in 1906 by a Visconti José de Alvalade. Until the 70s bankers and high financial members,even politician s are connected to our club.
In Portugal Sporting bring inovation to all sports modalaties building the most big and only Olimpic stadium in 1956.(our old stadium before the actual one and the first stadium in Lisbon before Benfica) In 40s our club has the most well prepared headquarter s in Europe and the most large office.
In Portugal, Sporting Clube de Portugal is the second club in europe with most european titles conquered today.
