  • Here is my extensive review of the Kiinde bottle system.
    I'll show you how to use the full system including -
    - pumping directly into the storage bag using included adapters
    - inserting bag and included nipples for use
    - how to read ounce measurements
    - how to use for formula fed babies
    - and of course, all of my pros and cons (not sponsored!)
    You can find the Kiinde bottle system and bags available for purchase below! amzn.to/2RoGvls

    Also, what I did was just order the free sample kit first (just pay shipping) and when i received the order, they sent me coupons for 50% off the full set which brought the price of the bundle with bottle warmer to $50. And I also received a coupon for a free 40 pack of the bags.

      Can the 50% coupon be used on Amazon or it has to be directly to the Kiinde store?

    Also, kiinde will some times have sales on the entire system. I got my entire system (bottle warmer included) for $50 plus free shipping vs $100. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 always looking for those sales. I want to say I ordered a “sample” and inside that sample pack they gave me a coupon for 50% off of my next purchase. Thanks for the review this was super helpful as I was needing someone to just show me how this system worked before I attempt it and mess up more bags than use. 😂🙌🏻

    This is seriously one of the most helpful, informative videos I've found in general on baby stuff I've looked up. The Kiinde ads started showing up in my Facebook feed and I got curious, because they're having a promo for a free starter kit and you only pay shipping. Considering how much the kit is at full price, it's definitely worth trying, even if you end up hating it (I don't see how you could though lol) because the shipping is $5 and the kit is normally $50 so you're saving $45 to start. They're also having a promo for 15% off a bag that fits your pump and its accessories, and it includes a free starter kit. I can't see how this could be a bad system.

    100% thank you. Returning to work is soooooo hard. I have high liaise so my milk needs to be pasteurized and can’t touch air. My daycare requested milk delivered directly in a bottle. This is a solution I feel like is a dream! I’m really excited to pump - pasteurize - put into the bags and the *click* and go! Everyone wins!

    How did your baby like the nipples? Out of the handful of kiinde system reviews, not many talk about this. My first baby refused every single bottle I tried to give him, so he ended up solely BF, and I don’t want to do every single night feeding again! I did find the free starter kit and will give it a go but I’m worried about nipple rejection. You’re video is the best in this system by the way- giving you a follow , thanks!!

    Do you think this is a good system for an over supplier? I’m going to be exclusively pumping and like the idea of not having to wash a bunch of bottles but worried with being an over supplier this would be to expensive

  • @asyamondsdavis5889
    @asyamondsdavis5889 Před 2 lety +2

    This seems like a super easy system and I'm definitely going to try it. I do have a question about the bags though. I'm assuming that you need one bag per feed assuming 3-4 ounces are in each bag. If so, it seems like 40 bags won't even last a week. Am i thinking about that right?

    • @jessicasabrina1493
      @jessicasabrina1493  Před 2 lety

      Yep, you're right! If you're exclusively pumping like I did in the beginning you'll burn through the bags very quickly especially if you're measuring them out to be exactly 3-4 ounces. One thing to note is that I pumped whatever I could into the bags and then just fed my baby the bag regardless of how many ounces were in it. If she didn't finish it I would refrigerate it and feed it to her in her next feed. Once the bag is exposed to feeding you need to finish it within a couple hours (because of bacteria exposure), but especially in the those early months my baby was drinking very little, but very often so this wasn't a huge problem for me. Hope this helps! Good luck :)

  • @BrittanyTran
    @BrittanyTran Před 3 lety +3

    thanks for this informative review! one question I have is about pumping directly into the bags, if you don't pump enough for a full feeding do you just save it in the bag until you can add more or do you just store it with less than an optimal amount of milk (thus, wasting space in the bag)?

    • @alissasmith3954
      @alissasmith3954 Před 3 lety +2

      I have the same question. I hope she answers this soon!

    • @jessicasabrina1493
      @jessicasabrina1493  Před 3 lety +6

      Hi there! Okay so you have a few options... the most important thing to remember is that you cannot mix breastmilk that is at different temperatures. If you do, bacteria can grow which is a big no-no for baby. So your first suggestion of saving it in the bag until you can add more will only work if you keep that bag at room temperature. And breast milk can only stay good at room temperature for a max of 5 hours so depending on how often you're pumping this may or may not work for you. The second and easiest option is to just keep however little milk you pumped in the bag(s) and refrigerate it, but it is also the most wasteful in terms of the bags. The final option is that you can pump into the bags and then combine into one bag and store that single bag in the refrigerator. So for example if I only pumped 3oz on each side I would just pour one of the bags into the other to make one full 6oz bag. The risk here of course is spilled milk.
      An important thing to note is that in the newborn stage I wouldn't really stress out too much about the exact ounces in the bag because they're eating very often, but very little in each sitting. So sometimes it can get tricky if you have TOO MUCH milk in the bag. Once your baby drinks from a bottle (or kiinde bag) of milk, they have to finish that bottle within a couple hours because bacteria may have been introduced through their feeding. Again, since your baby is drinking so often in the beginning it was usually fine for me because I would feed her a couple ounces and then she would finish up the bottle at her next feed, but just a good thing to think about when stressing over how much milk is in each bag. I know this is long-winded but I hope it's helpful :)
