Basically it was well-received to some extent because of the potential it had, but now is seen as a failure because of the devs not guiding it to reach that potential.
Why? Death stranding is awesome and is a perfect example on how games are changing. Just because you can’t sit through cutscenes and actually take the time to understand the story doesn’t mean it’s a horrible game.

It sucked. Dunkey just has Nintendo bias. Breath was the only ground breaking title and that’s another entry to the franchise. Nintendo makes create game, but it’s living on our nostalgia. It has abysmal third party support while the PS4 gobble up all the Japanese third party. None of the kids I know even cares about Nintendo. Nintendo will live on, but for how long? I can’t say. Not when my friends has a library of Amiibo. Nintendo fans are beyond hardcore.
