Black Peter, Whiskey In the Jar. Wharf Rat
@@JohnGieschenJr Ah, I just made a new track for Wharf Rat. I like to film myself making them and use parts for lessons but I didn't bother with that one. Damn, I should've. I could still come up with something though. A new Scarlet Begonias track with a bass lesson and bass track are on the horizon though.
@@JeffWilliamsGuitar that is a good one too. I always fall apart on Scarlett so that will be appreciated for sure. Thanks for the dead focus - def a different kind of playing i think and it is great to hear someone teach to it
@@JohnGieschenJr No prob John.
Cassidy, Black-Throated Wind, Throwing Stones, Let it Grow, or any of the cowboy tunes. (~):}
please keep doing bass content!!!! Especially grateful dead
I really appreciate the phil-style bass lessons. I'm an intermediate bass player, and I've been struggling learning that phil style. These have helped. Going forward, I'd love to see more early dead tunes that exemplify the basic chord structure w improv around it. Thanks again.
Glad they're helpful. I love the early Dead. I used to listen to the early stuff on Fallout from the Philzone on repeat.
Great stuff thanks!
This is incredible! Phil is so great but it can be difficult to hear him in the mix sometimes. Very grateful for this content, excited to see more!
Glad you enjoyed it! More on the way.
You rock, Jeff. Thanks for posting these. They are superrrr helpful for me.
No prob Kevin, glad to hear they're helpful.
Hi Jeff
I just stumbled across your Channel today. Thank you for the advice and insight into one of Jerry's all time fantastic tunes.. I can't wait to start implementing your ideas.. Phil and Kahn are without my favorite players. Thx again, and I'll be in touch!!

Thanks, Man. This is great.
Thanks John and no prob.
Hey great lesson really liked it. More Dead would be fantastic, I think I'm a little late to the show since this was posted almost a year ago, oh well, again great lesson and I'll check out your other stuff. Thanks
Hey thanks Jon glad it was helpful.
thank you. sir. so much
No prob.
Well done. Thanks for the lesson. Would love to see a bass breakdown of Candyman.
Great suggestion!
Awesome 👌!!
Thanks
No problem
Jeff, just discovered your bass lessons. What a great service, please keep it up. I downloaded the backing track and charts for surgaree and discovered them to be for guitar, Did I do something wrong or is the bass backing track only available on youtube. Keep up the good works. Peace out.
Just sent it to your email.
Pls can you make a lesson of St. Stephen
As of today, St Stephen just entered the backing track lab!
What strings are these?
Black Diamond.
@@JeffWilliamsGuitar nice! The flats or the nickel ones?
@@michaeltamayo4113 The nickel ones.
@@JeffWilliamsGuitar I was unable to follow once you got to the second part, but I like those strings too.
I dig your grove but its a bit too advanced for my drunk ass. I'm 52 and a beginner... A year in to bass lessons.
I'm just testing the water with bass videos so have been revolving around tunes and improvising with them. But I'll make some beginner bass stuff at some point. Maybe even a full course.
