I've always enjoyed Aaron and Claire - how to make food - videos. This travel vlog style was quite fun too. BTW, I like a small pour of Scotch Wiskey on my vanilla icecream as well! You should try Kahlua on your vanilla Ice Cream it's another level.

I’ve been to the Asiana lounge before but it was very late at night (and during the pandemic), so it’s nice to see that the food is better during the day. Also I agree with you that ramen is the thing I look forward to in business class. I wish it was available on every airline.

Back in the early 90s I was flying from Europe to Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur... From Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur, I was THE ONLY ONE in business class... I was sooo tired... Still had three stewardess waiting to serve me. I called one of the over and said, "It's okay, I don't need anything... no food... I'm good... just one good hefty Scotch..."
I woke up at approach/landing in terrible weather. It was like a horror movie... People screaming... I don't like flying very much after that... Flying for food on the other hand...

Flying Business Class is the way to go!! 😊 So glad you had a great trip! I had the whiskey with ice cream in Germany but it was at the bottom of the dish of ice cream. It was a pleasant surprise when I dug into it. It wasn't too bad kinda got used to it. (Poor Claire! )
I love the airport lounges in Korea! As a frequent flyer of Korean Airlines, I often go to their lounge. Their food is amazing! When I fly Prestige Class (another name for Business Class) we get more than one meal; not including snacks in between, as our flights are longer. (It's a 13 hour flight to Korea and a 10-1/2 hour on the return flight.) For my meal I ordered steak & it was cooked exactly how I requested. For one of the snacks, I was offered freshly baked chocolate chip cookies & my choice of a soft drink.
What a pleasant surprise at the bottom of the ice cream! I want to try it too! 🤩And yes, that wonderful smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies always made me crazy when I was in economy. 😂

Whiskey and desserts have been a favorite thing of mine for years. I 100% approve the whiskey drip on the ice cream!
I like Kahlua with ice cream, but not whiskey. However, Jameson & Bailey’s with root beer is awesome.
Its a pity the shin ramyum export version's noodle has dropped drastically in quality... I now eat the ottogi brand because the quality still holds up.
Yes, tastes can change as one gets older. I didn't like cilantro when I was younger, but a banh mi sandwich suits me very well now that I'm older.

Asiana airlines I think they don't make the packaged ramen. They use the giant sized Shin Ramen cup noodles and serve that on a real bowl. Korean air they actually make the packaged shin ramen or jin ramen. On Korean air you can also get your ramen with soybean sprouts.
Shin ramen is available upon request in the economy class too but in an authentic cup. 😊😅

I’ve heard studies show many flavors/tastes/textures are subdued when flying. Like crunch sound covered by engine noise and then more than you’d expect dull it’s feel also.
Ironically umami is boosted, I’ve heard airline Bloody Mary are some of the best next time you are thirsty. 😉

Aaron I was flying with Korean Airlines on May 2023 from LA to South Korea, what you said only business class get ramen isn’t right, I fly economic class and they overing everybody ramen if we still hungry after we get the meal.
