I love brad the binding !! For 2 reasons: I have a LOT of brads, it’s easy, and it looks great!! I want to share that if someone wants to change the color of their brads they can use alcohol markers/inks to do that, or you can cover the tops of the brads in an embossing ink, and use embossing powder to change them as well. It would be a little more complicated to change the color inside of the prongs, but probably doable. Thank you so much for your detailed and thorough tutorial❣️

A decorative, coordinating piece of washi tape covering the spread Brads in the center of the signature would help cover them. Or maybe even a piece of lace glued over them.

I made a few using this method awhile ago and it works very well. I was one of those people who was intimidated by sewing. I use both methods now.

Perfection! I absolutely love this journal, the exterior is beautiful. What a great way to bind the signatures, makes adding or removing pages much easier. Plan to try this method on my next project! 🙂 P.S. Would love to watch as you decorate the inside!
I don't mind the sewing, but this looks easier and would probably be quicker for me. You could also probably make a hidden spine this way as well, using a bit stronger cardstock... but I do like the look of the little brads on the spine.

Always good to have new ways to do things. I like this brad method. Good for taking pages out and replacing and reusing journal cover! I'm not big on the elastic bands method. But it lets you reuse journal cover. So now there's an alternative! Nice going!!!

11:34 It would probably be easier to remove or change out a signature (or even an individual page or two), for any reason, than the sewn-in method (unless you cover the spine, of course, or disguise the prongs in the centre of each signature with something more permanent than washi)...The sewn in method isn't difficult, but a little more fiddly sometimes. One could even use this method for art journaling; once the pages are covered; archive them and re-use the cover...(if the cover is especially pleasing or durable, for example). P.S. Finished journal is very elegant, love it.
