@@TCRick9918 Yes but as you've seen he not only called out to the axolotl but Stan regained his memory, hence also reviving bill trapped in his mind. So in my theory Bill probably got ripped out of stans memory by the axolotls doing after being revived and now he's trapped in kings body waiting for the day until he regains what he has lost.
Oh my god. Imagine if there was an episode arc where King remembers his past as Bill Cipher and manages to become the Dapper Dorito again, power and all. He would then become evil and would try to take over the multiverse again but he would end up redeeming himself once he remembers how much he really enjoyed his life as King.

You know I weirdly would like it if king was secretly bill cypher going through a redemption arc. Kind of like adventure times lich. A being of pure evil coming back to life in a more innocent form and being given new memories which conflict with its true evil nature. So when the time comes king could potentially reject his truth for his family

This is my theory I came up with..
We know Bill is going to have a different form at another time. But what if that time hasn't come yet? I do believe King has some connections/similarities Bill, but so does the Emperor (I will talk about that later). I started thinking, and maybe there are more then 1 Bill Cypher. My theory is that when Bill called upon the Axolotl to save him, Axolotl split Bill into 3 peices that somehow live inside these characters.
Let's start with King. King's voice and Bill's are the same. And as this video explains the similarities between these 2 characters. I would also like to note that in the episode The Intruder when King was teaching Luz about demons, there was a sticky note of what looked like none other then Bill in the background. We know Bill lives in the Nightmare Relm, so it would seem odd that King knows about Bill. Unless these characters are somehow connected..
The second person I think is the Emperor of the Emperors Coven. We know from the episode Sense and Insensitivity that Lilith was going to give the Emperor the bloom of eternal youth, not necessarily because of the Emperors orders. Kinda like Lilith owed him something. Later in that episode when Lilith is trying to get Eda to join, saying he could heal her curse Eda replies with, "I don't want to owe him anything." Implying that they were to make some sort of deal. And who do we know makes deals? Also it's good to point out that the Emperor wants Eda to join. But why? Lilith is already a powerful witch and only the best are allowed in the coven. Is the Emperor trying to surround himself around powerful witches because Bill is weak? We see from the promo trailers the Emperor with his eyes shinning through the mask. Notice how his eye color is yellow, but glowing green. Showing that whoever this Emperor person is still has some control over his own body. The Emperor's Coven banner, as shown in multiple episodes, is yellow and has a triangle on it too. So if Bill was split into 3's, I do believe that the Emperor is aware of Bill or his connection between them rather then King.
Now who could this last person be? Why not the mind of the person who seemingly killed Bill in the first place. Stan. After Stan's mind was erased, he easily remembered it all back with the help of Dipper and Mabel. So who's to say that he didn't remember Bill back into existence. Also, the Cypher statue hunt. The entire hunt was based around 2 characters. Stan and Bill. It's also worth noting that Stan spoke backwards in some messages. And we know Bill has a history of speaking backwards in Gravity Falls. In the last message, Stan also sings We'll Meet Again like Bill did in Weirdmagandon. But the only person why was around to hear that was Ford. So why did he sing that specific song? We don't know much about what happened to Stan after Gravity Falls ended, but I'm almost positive that he will appear in The Owl House at some point
Well that was my theory. But one more small detail. In The Owl House intro when it shows the name of the show, there is that shine/glare that goes over the title, and it's yellow which goes in the shape of a triangle..

Also when king got his "crown" back he says "Yes my crown... I can feel my powers returning!" and as we know Bill had A LOT of power plus King could have a small memory of wearing something and assumes it's a crown but really it's Bill's top hat

I have not liked the poem because I have no access to the book and when I run into it online the line of resolving his crime was changed into atoning his crime. While I can believe Bill feels SOME wistfulness towards his home, I really don't buy him wanting to actually change his ways, like atoning implies. So if this is the correct version of the poem, I'm happy. Resolving doesn't have the same implications. And King being Bill would be awesome!

The second I saw the first episode, I theorized King could be Bill reincarnated and kinda dumbed down as a result. Maybe he doesn't know who he was yet. King _is_ a different person than Bill but he still could be him.
Perhaps he does know little pieces of his past, such as his immense power, which is why he's constantly craving power and claims to be a demon king, because while Bill wasn't a king of demons, he was clearly the king of the Nightmare Dimension, which is made entirely of demon-like entities in it. He clearly doesn't remember how he used to look or maybe even what he did, but he does know what his power and status once was
I now believe your theory... King could be Bill reincarnated with very few memories. I can already imagine a whole story in my head about how King has a sudden memory about his past life and then going on a big adventure to discover who he was... That would be awesome.

I honestly believe King used to be the boiling isles. The isles are made out of the remnants of a giant demon. King seems to have an ego around that size. So what if he really was the king of demons? The giant one they all live on, and as punishment for hubris or something he was killed and turned into the smallest most over looked creature there. Forced to literally live in the shadow of his former greatness.

You guys all seem to have come to the conclusion that the confirming of this theory will lead to Bill returning as an antagonist, I see a different path.
King is what Bill Cipher was before he destroyed his own dimension, before he went too far. Quoting the Axolotl, "Saw his own dimension burn, misses home and can't return." Bill regrets destroying his old 2D home, and so, the Axolotl has given him a second chance.
His consciousness has been wiped of all his memories, a hard reset. He has been reborn in a far weaker form, where he will never have the cosmic power to make the same mistake he made before. He is still kinda a maniac, but the kindness that he lost so long ago has been restored.
Rather than becoming an antagonist, I see Bill enjoying this new form, this new, intact mind, despite it's limitations. I see him undergoing a redemption arc. I see him leaving behind Bill's legacy and embracing this new life, this second chance, as King.

I can already imagin king's friends trying to restore his memories in future episodes only to bring him back to bill cipher and in doing so he becomes the main antagonist except having the memories of his past life and his current one will make him a conflicted and sympathetic villian.
I mean he would be smart enough to be dangerous but he’d need a thug or a group of people he manipulates
I doubt anything from gravity falls is going to come back in this show unless it’s a crossover episode. You have to remember that the owl house is its own show with its own viewer base that allthough overlaps with gravity falls, is not entirely the same. If they suddenly bring bill cipher into this, fans of the owl house that have not seen gravity falls will be extremely confused and it won’t have the same significance to them. Independent shows have to be able to exist on their own, in their entirety, with no previous knowledge.
However. This doesn’t stop them from adding in Easter eggs and hinting more at kings past life. But please do not expect to actually see bill cipher as anything more than say, a picture in a book.

@@Poke-Chann well since alex hirsch has no intention of going back to gravity falls any time soon(at least not yet) he may let his friend in owl house to use bill cipher beside just because they bring bill cipher that doesn't mean they have to include gravity falls universe in it or it has to be a crossover since bill is a inter dimensional demon and owl house set in a world full of magic and demond so it makes perfectly makes sense if he appear in this universes further more they don't need to like gave him a origin story all they have to say is that he is a powerful demon who rule over demons in his dimension and in one of his conquests got defeated and reborn as king by making a deal with a powerful entity they don't have to say"oh look!bill is the same triangle guy who was in the cartoon version of twin peaks!" Anyways it’s not that Alex Hirsch won’t let the creators use bill or anything, I doubt Disney would let them now that gravity falls is over. That’s just how companies work.
Besides, they can’t just throw him in without an origin story. It would have much more significance to old gravity falls fans than new owl house fans and the harsh truth is that the owl house is catering directly to new fans. It’s a show you can pick up with no knowledge of other shows and still enjoy at the same level as someone who’s watched other Disney shows.
Basically, combining two different show’s lores without stating them to be the same universe at the beginning is just untested territory, and Disney is a company that plays it safe with their shows.
If you’re interested in the king is bill cipher theory, your best bet is through Easter eggs or Alex Hirsch’s social media.

The only one I could see other than bill is Ford as he was going through different dimensions for 30 years, and as for the time difference, it would be simple to say that since time and space are very closely related its possible that the time difference could fluctuate as he travels through them like in one dimension could be years in the future and another be years in the past of any particular dimension's timeline.

Imagine: if king reviles that he doesn’t actually remember his time as the demon king. Imagine them trying to find out more about his past. Imagine them stumbling into gravity falls, or some other place with information about bill. Imagine king seeing a drawing of bill and just knowing that it’s him. Imagine him having to choose between his past power (in the risk of becoming bill again), or staying in his weakened form, and not risking hurting his friends. Imagine him seeing all the pain he had cost, all the death and destruction. Imagine him choosing to live his new life. Giving up his past power.
New I don’t know about you but I would love for that to happen. It makes it so they can connect the two shows without confusing people who haven’t actually watched gravity falls

I believe that King is how Bill is supposed to repent for his sins. I also think his memory is mostly erased, only having bits and pieces, which is why he thinks he was a king of demon. Which he technically was.

Bill Cipher is my favorite Gravity Falls character and King is my favorite Owl House character. This theory is exactly what I needed to see after the ending of Gravity Falls. This video is great!

I want to share my theory, my theory is when Wendy and dipper are in the car going through dimension to dimension, you see time baby is evil and destroying everyone, so I imagine that timeline is a world where bill cipher takes over time baby once he dies, ultimately gaining control of the time court and taking his advantage, when. You play bill cipher dying backwards he says he will comeback, the bird that lands on his grave has the same eye as him, this is how I think he’s alive.

In lost legends, in the black market, you can see a creature that looks like tibbles, but in a different color. It's evidence for my theory, thatv he boiling isles is the cause of the gravity falls anomalies. That this dimension is leaking to gravity falls.

@@NJ-tm1vn while it is a clue that the shows are connected, this doesn't mean that the boiling isles is leaking to gravity falls. If we see more monsters in the owl house that are exactly like in gravity falls, we will be able to know for sure.

This is actually... really interesting. I thought this theory was gonna be more wierd and fun, and less serious, but it definetly seems plausible. Especially with the Axolotl thing in the book.
I have no idea if there's ever gonna be a reveal of this in The Owl House, but its also possible they intended this to be some sort of connection meant to be left up to interpretation.

Remember in the first episode when King gets his crown back he point's at a stuff bunny and say " nightmare creature" that wound mean something about the nightmare realm and that's where bill was before right? So King has to be Bill reborn.
I would say that king is just a younger version of bill (due to the reincarnation) and hasn't experienced enough stuff that would make him behave like bill before being reincarnated

Dude! I just heard a new theory about king formerly being the Boiling Isles, as the Boiling Isles is a rotting skeleton that closely resembles king. And I merged the theories. Here's what I wrote on the other video.
My brain is big and found a way to put these theories together. So what if, when Bill died, he was brought back as the Boiling Isles. Bill still having most of his memories, though not quite all of them, rules he demons. He thinks he still has all his powers, picks a fight with the wrong demon, and is killed. Boiling Isles, now being dead, inhabits the demons and monsters and is now the Boiling Isles that we know. Bill/Boiling then reincarnates once again, becoming the fluffy king that we know. By now, he has lost a lot of memories of being bill and now mostly remembers the power of being Boiling Isles, and wanting that back, he will do a lot to get it back. In doing so, he will stumble upon memories of being bill and it will all flood back to him, causing some transformation issues, then giving him the option to stay King, keep his memories and newly rediscovered ones and his friends, becoming the Isles ruining all the demons lives that lived there and everything goes back to how it was, him losing his normal tendencies and bring back the caotic good, or he can become bill cipher once again, losing his memories and friends, once again striking fear in everyone's heart, bringing back his caotic evil, and his psychotic tendencies. What happens after that I am unsure.

I actually like this theory and since Dana is Alex’s girlfriend at the moment I have no reason to not believe they would want to cross universes. But what if like king is actually before Bill, like this was his true form before he became Bill? Like if King is sweet now and Bill isn’t maybe something happened to King to make him evil like Bill, kinda like Mina loveberry in Star vs. like how she was really sweet at the beginning and then turned into a crazy psycho in the finale season... I dunno, I think it could go either way. Either King is before Bill and this is Bill’s origin, or it’s like you said and King is Bill reincarnated.

Gravity Falls takes place in 2012.
The Owl House most likely takes place in 2020.
King is said to be at least 8 years old.
I've never watched any of those 2 shows. Knew gravity fall, never heard of Owl House. Was watching a video about Bill when I came across this video.

Bill Cipher that does make sense why king acts so weak
When I'm watching this I hear in the back of my mind "we'll meet again don't know where don't know when, but I'll know we'll meet again some sunny day" I still remember when bill sang the song
Yo if King is Bill reborn, that previous theory episode where you speculated Eda & Stan Pines were an item, could be tied moreso into King’s origins.
Like let’s assume the narrative you proposed in the last video were to actually happen - I.e. Luz goes through Eda’s Magic door to the human world to get some new inventory for her shop, ends up at the Mystery Shack and it’s a field day meeting all the Gravity Falls characters. Let’s add to that and say Eda tells King to go along with her, just to have her back, and they both go to the Mystery Shack. Depending on where GF’s narrative is decidedly visited would determine who’s at the Shack still, cuz for this theory to work (King being Bill 2.0) the finale’s events would have needed to happen, or at the very least Bill’s defeat would have.
This would mean, Dipper, Mabel, and probably Ford & Stan would probably all be away. Maybe both pairs of Pines Twins revisit the Mystery Shack for a sorta summer family reunion, Soos is now running the Shack, and suddenly Luz and King crash the party. Maybe Dipper & Mabel guide Luz around the woods to see some of the mysterious stuff they found in their time their, and King just becomes lazy and either stays behind to pester Ford and Stan, or wanders off and finds that crumbling Bill Cipher statue in the woods, interacts with it and regains some memories or something…Though I don’t know if they could make a crossover episode like this hold THAT much weight to the overarching narrative, but then again, how often do the creators of two beloved shows - owned by Disney none the less - just happen to be dating too?!
I’m intrigued to see more of the Owl House, and whether or not something even remotely like this becomes a reality😋
