    I gained weight because of my own actions. I am losing that weight by going back to the healthy lifestyle choices I used to follow. I am eating better, I am exercising and I feel so much better. I have lost 10kg (22 pounds) and have that amount to further lose to be the weight I was three years ago.

      And what people don’t understand one of the actual doctors who did the study debunked it himself. This body positive community or whatever they wanna call i, love to cherry picking information from either studies that doesn’t pertain to weight loss or old studies that are no longer valid, then throw out it as facts, knowing that people are generally lazy and will not fact checked, because they want validation for their lifestyles.

    Been overweight pretty much since I was 13, and at 38 years old, I AM SO SICK OF BEING FAT, both literally and figuratively. So I am working my butt off at the gym, and completely changed my attitude with food, and track every calorie on an app. Started at 265, currently 217, final goal 140. And yes, it is taking blood sweat and tears, but it can be done!

    If i made a pie chart consistency would be the majority of that pie. Eating better and less works, adding exercise works as well but not being consistent will cause failure every time. Even if you have a meal thats considered a cheat meal big deal get back to doing what works and stay consistent and you will succeed. It also works in every other aspect of life as well.

    • @tkps
      @tkps Před 3 lety +1

      They're not accurate per se. The study was done in the 50's. It was done specifically on obese women something that at the time was very niche and the numbers were something like less than 50. They did put weight back on but they were in a group that hardly existed back then so were already in trouble as far as large intakes of food was concerned. Lastly. The author of the study says it's no longer relevant and he doesn't know why people keep quoting it. You're right though; 5% is better than 0%.

    I think the hardest part about losing weight is actually giving your body the time to reset and recover from poor food choices.. I used to be addicted to candy, and to get away from that was extremely hard. It took me months to no longer crave the things I used to love. I found other foods that I like, and the cravings faded. Yesterday, I had a cookie and it tasted odd to me. Back in February I would have eaten the whole pack, and now I'm fine with never having oreos again in my life. I feel indifferent towards my former trigger foods.. I lost 100lbs so far, and I still want to lose like, 30 lbs.

    #askpapaswolio Pops, wht is your opinion in using microworkouts for hipertrophy if one does not have enough time to workout for 1+hour. But has little 10 min break through out the day? I haven't found evidence on this and think it might have some application, but what is your take on it?
    What I mean is like doing a warm up set, then a couple good sets near failure. Then repeat over 2+3 times/day. 2 days/week. I was thinking this may give 6+sets every day, nearly 12 good sets+warm ups per week. Would that carry as much stimulus as doing the entire session? Do you think there might be some benefit to it, will volume need to be increased?

      TKPS depends on who you ask. I am plant based so I don’t think milk is good for you based on the research that has been presented to me. Others do not agree that animal products are bad for you. You can do some research yourself and see what you think makes sense for you.
      Unfortunately a lot of this shit depends on bias. There is not really a definitive definition of “healthy diet”. Personally I feel a lot better eating plant based than I ever did eating meat and occasionally junk sweets and stuff. But that’s me personally💕
