The difference is Burnham gave a reasoned argument which made sense... Manchester public transport is nowhere near what it is in London...

He reasoned well and spoke like a real human - not like robot politician.
His argumentS for not introducing ULEZ in Manchester yet,,have parallels for Greater London. Khan should take a leaf out of his book.

Spanish transport is also brilliant, trains are Larger and Clean and Bus Services are really good and reliable, both are also realistically priced unlike our poor services.

We don't have a public transport alternative in Bradford either, but Bradford Council don't care.... they get elected by the people of Bradford, and fund themselves from the people of Keighley, Haworth, Silsden, Shipley and Ilkley.

HS2 was going to solve some of that issue but the people opposed it.

People are far more important than place! Introducing taxes that do nothing to improve the air quality when that is the only basis for them is fraud and should not be allowed!

I sympathize, but "do nothing to improve air quality" is horsesh1t. I'm witnessing 4 members of my family currently scrambling around for less polluting cars right now (i told them to do it a year or 2 ago but you know, people don't listen)

Yes, net zero, stop crying you polluting gits...... see we can all scream our opinions, what matters is doing the right thing about it. And if you feel that's patronizing, that's your inferiority complex speaking. Read more and learn more and you might not feel that way.
      Signed, The Patronizor in Chief.

Scotrail is now owned by the Scottish government, and its exactly the same as it was, i mean there is much more strike action but i’ll give them the benefit of the doubt on that. But the prices are going up. The peak prices are extortionate and the trains are empty. Unless the Scottish Government are using the train service to line their pockets.
