I briefly caught a headline that Sadiq Kahn had squandered 123 million during his time as Mayor. Unfortunately I don't know any details. Those bulletproof 4x4s would contribute. Boris rode a BIKE!!!

Why don't you know any details, surely something as monstrous as that would have made you register something. Actually if you did even a modicum of research you will see that these headlines appeared in the DM and Torygraph quoting the London Tory opposition to some of Khan's policies. Surprise, surprise it's election year....but don't try and make out that 'good old Boris' was/is something of a paragon of virtue when it comes to protecting the public purse: the garden bridge, very expensive wallpaper, legal fees for partygate, holiday trips abroad instead of Cobra meetings etc etc are examples of his willingness to throw other people's money about. The whole idea of this exercise is the monitoring of air quality in the outer London areas, which has been neglected as to the mayor’s decision to enforce his pointless dictatorship on areas that have good air quality. I find it extremely coincidental that we have Sadiq Khan in London with ULEZ, Mark Drakeford with his 20mph blanket decision for all residential roads in Wales, the attempt to recreate the ULEZ in Manchester all happening at the same time... given that they know these dictats are going to make them so unpopular with the people that they are unlikely to get re-elected, it makes me wonder why they've gone down this route - I think if someone were able to see their bank accounts, there may be some interesting things to be found... I personally believe that someone (or more likely some large company) with huge financial reserves and and agenda is quietly coopting these people in power to be the front to their decisions.
I know you can say this is all conspiracy theory, but to me it's the only answer that seems to make sense.
