I am of Chinese descent. The British brought the concepts of democracy, freedom, fairness and the rule of law to Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. The British ideas helped us get rid of thousands of autocracy and slavery. The biggest problem of the British is that they are too humble and self-blame. The British do not owe foreigners anything. Asians and Africans living in the UK are the happiest and luckiest people. What they should do is integrate into the UK instead of blackmailing the UK.

Actually it's pretty easy to answer. It's when the political left in the Western world started to use identity politics/intersectional pespective (about 20-30 years ago) to explain what they perceive as the injustices of the world. After that identity politics have grown and grown, because the mainstream media and lot of people have simply fallen for this ideology, believing it to be a correct explanation about injustices, and holding to the belief that the political left stand for "goodness". For decades now the people of the West have been fed with the ideas that we must be ashamed of the Western world. And yes, a lot of Western countries have done some bad stuff historically, but the West have progressed from that, but still Westerners are taught to feel shame about their native countries due to identity politics.

(Pardon my spelling)I had two brothers and two sisters and the deepest love and respect for this man who ran our house. After several assaults on Rafi who refused to to give our house key to the local young tribesmen from different tribes my father went to the local market with a senior member of the police force and announced to the local riff raff how many curfews there would be if they continued to attack Rafi demanding he give them access to our home. He stressed Rafi was a valued family member and as such the bullies were inviting the wrath of his sons who would be paying the bullies a visit. That was the end of that and to make sure he maintained his dignity my father kept a close eye on his welfare. For her to brand the white British as the aggressors in her life time is a myth. She should lay the blame squarely at the feet of the indians who followed the Army from India when the killing first started in Kenya caused by the Mau Mau uprising She has never mentioned the rape of the women and children by the Sikhs, Hindus and Muslims, nor the beatings of the Kenyan men and women by these people. The no go areas in Nairobi where Africans were banned from streets in their own country nor the arrest of Jomo Kenyatta on a visit to England organised by politicians. It was our Queen who played a big part in his release and maintained a friendship with him until his death. Kenyatta wanted people who were benefitting from his countries produce to pay taxes and hire a ratio of African men and women and teach them a trade. Not too much to ask for the first President of Kenya but instead of agreeing and thanking this man and his people for the opportunity they created they treated them like second class citizens in there own country. That's why Jomo Kenyatta deported the Kenyan Asians. But there isn't a squeak out of this ignorant woman about that!

I'm black and grew up in a very multicultural city in the UK. My parents took me to the countryside almost weekly growing up and we still go whenever I visit. The countryside is friendlier than the city. This woman's a race baiter and obviously this is not how most people from ANY background think.
