Good luck with the trial, just be sure to emphasize that the child would have a better home environment with you, get together a support system in advance, people that can watch your child while you're at work, and don't attack the other parent. In my case, I asked her parents to watch our child when I was at work. They were people we both trusted our child with, so that made it easier and she couldn't really complain about them. I ended up with our son on every other week, but once he started preschool, I went back and got him for every weekday to make it easier for him to go to school. Soon after that happened and child support payments were switched to her, she quickly lost interest and now only bothers to see him a couple times a year.
All else being equal, fathers even in USA aren't discriminated against in family court. Things are rarely equal, though: fathers are typically less well prepared (as in: they show up unable to answer basic questions to prove that they are better able to provide a good home environment, support the kids in school, etc). If you can't present yourself as a competent single parent, you are unlikely to get custody.
The biggest reason that American fathers don't get custody is that they don't seek it.

The german alarm spelled out Die for Dienstag, but non-german speaking English-speakers read it as Die, the english word. Donnerstag has no relevance to anything here, unless you're trying to point out that it spells "Don", which granted would possibly be confusing for someone named Donald.

Henry's reaction to learning about a father's rights in custody battles in the U.S. was both funny and sad. Mostly sad though.
It's still possible to get custody if you're the dad, but you better have a damn good lawyer and enough evidence. Or you'll be paying an insane child support rate that isn't used for the children but the mother. Sometimes even if you do have evidence tho, like of the mother beating, battering, slandering and verbal abuse of the child, you still fucking lose. Then you lose everything, even the house you paid entirely for.

I think we are at a point in time we’re the ridiculousness of the past is more apparent. Don’t really think it should be extreme one way or the other unless reasonable proof can be provided for the child’s safety.
This is one of the things Men's rights groups try to fight for. The child should go to the best parent in a custody battle, but as a society we have this false idea that women are naturally more caring and better at parenting , so judges tend to be biased in the mothers favor. Even in instances where the mother is a horrible person and there is ample proof.

Honestly, that oil meme is more accurate than you might think :') Don't even fill yourself with water you'll drown in most fluids. Water is a pretty special case where filled lungs can get our avg density below water's avg density and float, and swiping your arms through it generates enough force to propel you forward because it's non-Newtonian. A lot of liquids have a lower density and non-Newtonian fluids are pretty uncommon as well. It's perfectly possible to fill a silo with it and just drown without giving yourself a chance out, that being said...
