So many people complaining. This is not supposed to be a cover of the Mariah and Whitney version. If you had a copy of the OST of the animation film or if you had watched it, this was the version in it. Not the more popular one. This was actually beautifully done. I just wished there were kids singing the choir part.

I think that this was a really good performance. This version is the "film" version, not the "pop" version sung fantastically by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Also I think it is important to remember that this was done at a press event, not the official opening night of the musical. Any hiccups have time to hopefully be ironed out and dealt with before February/March 2020.

The rising chorus singing with heart made my spirit rise. But when that man took the microphone and manifested his anointing...it Rose from my belly and spilled over in tears. Praise be to God for His Deliverance that has brought us all out of the house of bondage out of the slavery of our own minds.
This song is about being a Hebrew and singing to praise G_d who has helped Moshe (Moses) lead them as a free people out of Mitzrayim (Egypt) and it's important that anyone singing it work to ensure the Hebrew is right. The singing itself is great, with wonderful timbre and voices, but the Hebrew needed work. The 'ch' is softer and not as guttural as they sang it. The Hebrew lyrics are meant to be: "Nahitah vehasdekha amzu gaalta" meaning "In Your love, You lead the people You redeemed" but they sang it as "nagita bar gastecha" which makes absolutely no sense. It is disappointing that they didn't work to get the Hebrew right before singing this. The actual singing is referred to in the Book of Exodus 15:1-3 which says, 'Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the Lord: “I will sing to the Lord, for he is highly exalted. Both horse and driver he has hurled into the sea. The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him. The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is his name.'
I went to see the show last night. The set, the dancing, the visual aspects were all stunning. The lady who played Miriam (in the blue dress) was phenomenal. There were understudies performing for Rameses and Tzipporah (in the yellow dress) so I’d like to go back and see it again with the full cast. It’s a very impressive show, you can certainly see that a lot of money has gone into it. Bravo to the cast and crew x

You all don't understand the impact this makes on so many different levels! This is a song that brings the whole world together and is not comparable to anything. The fact that it was translated into countless other languages across the world speaks to the grandeur and unity this lyric creates. Nothing but admiration for the creators of this stage production. Please... Please do an international tour and bring it to Chicago!!!
What a beautiful performance... . Alexia Khadime has an amazingly rich voice which blends with Christine's perfectly. I was lucky to see Alexia in Wicked where she played Elphaba brilliantly. I'm really excited to see this!!

I've been in love with this movie since I was 8 years old. I'm not religious in the slightest, but the story and music in this are absolutely stunning, and getting to see it brought to life on stage is absolutely incredible. My favorite of Schwartz's work
