What I’m saying 😭
RIGHT!!! MY GOD!
Coz they are partially professional dancers. At least the guy with the blonde curls and the white shirt is, as i know him from Cologne.
The ashira part is supposed to represent the sounds of children playing more that they're freed. So it really is supposed to be a joyful part. So it makes me really happy when the whole chorus stands up to sing it together, and everyone had the biggest smiles on their faces. Even those not singing that part!
It was so cute
Absolutely!!!
Do you know the the lyrics of the Ashira?
Bellísima interpretación!!!!! Me emocioné!!!! Tengo la peli!!!! Dios les bendiga ❤❤
That guy sounded like a Disney prince
And looked like one too. 😉😉
YES. I teared up hard. Such an anointing on his voice.
The lady who sang Ashira had such a clear voice, that even after the chorus joined in her voice was still so clearly present despite putting the microphone down! Amazing!!!!!

The idea of Moses singing the last verse is a good idea. Because in the movie he is depressed and needs Miriam and Tzipporah to reassure his faith.
Should be in the movie tbh, Moses singing the last part. You are right.
Who noticed the guy in the green henley's reaction when the group started singing? Immediate big smile! You can tell he was having an moment that he will remember for the rest of his life!
Apparently he played Ramses. I watched him too. He so clearly loves these people like family, but he also refused to even open his mouth during the Hebrew part. I’m certain he could sing it backwards if he wanted to, but I think in deference to his character he wouldn’t join the chorus until they recommenced in English. That shows genuine class. I’m sure he’s wonderfully talented too.
I started watching him after reading your comment and I feel like the goosebumps intensified after seeing him smiling and laughing lol
The girl who sang the "Ashira" part is sooo amazing 😍😍😍

I just had a miscarriage and this song randomly came up next when browsing. It made me cry and smile and have hope for the future. I’m ready for my miracle baby 💜
XOXO 😇🥰
I will say a prayer for you right now. My wife had a miscarriage with our first baby. I was numb for a very long time. We were given a second miracle and now my baby boy is here with me. I can't describe the love I feel for him. There can be miracles when you believe, Never let your hope be killed. God Bless you and your family!
Condolences.
I know the pain. Praying for you!

I've never been a religious person, but The Prince of Egypt is one of my favorite movies of all time. This song never fails to make me cry. The feeling of hope is palpable when you listen to this. I really hope the musical comes to Broadway one day. I just know I'll be one of the first people in the audience.
Religion is a source of evil. But if we didn't have religion for people doing evil to hide behind, people would find another way to justify evil. This whole video reminds me of Israel's neo holocaust of the Palestinians.
Pray, humbly seek him with all your heart and you will meet God
You don’t have to be religious to have a relationship with the creator hallelujah
When I say I bawl my eyes out every single time, especially when the woman starts singing in Hebrew.
I can feel those words inside of me and the feeling comes out in tears, like I can't contain the feeling.
That’s the Holy Spirit. The Hebrew part is a prayer straight out of the Bible praising GOD.
Hallelujah. That's beautiful.
Same here. It gets me every time.
I cry EVERY TIME I hear this song. I try to sing it but can’t make it through.
I was listening to that part and when everyone chimed in I started to cry. I glanced at my screen and this was the first comment I saw. As if the Holy Spirit was talking to me, I started to get goosebumps. Jehovah Shalom!
The Hebrew part was definitely the highlight i cannot get over it, that girl was amazing, the KH pronunciation was on point.
I saw another comment saying her pronunciation was terrible because she wasnt rasping the right places
@@belladonna869 well that commenter is full of shit!
@@flacsmada Hebrew speaker here
she has a great voice and pronounces some of the lines well, but she did butcher most of the lyrics, most of all the KH pronouncement because that thing simply doesn't exist in English. I think she can work on the rest of the song and get better at it (at least 75% of the pronouncement here are simply bad to anyone who can understand even a bit of Hebrew), but I can't see her fixing the KH segments. Either they get someone who can speak Hebrew and say the KH right or give her a vocal teacher that can teach her (I prefer the latter because she really does have a great voice)

The third girl that sang 2:24 really impressed me with her performance, she had a smile on her face that just illuminated the whole room and an enthusiasm that seemed to catch with some of the other performers. @twistedblktrekie No it didn't lol. The color purple did a test run in Atlanta, then it went to Broadway, and lastly West End.
@twistedblktrekie No she played when they did a revitalized version. La Chanze originally played the lead. I am from Georgia and saw the original pilot performance of the show. The original was back in 2005. Also Oprah was never in the musical, she along with whoopi were in the 1980s film version.

It's worth mentioning that the hebrew lyrics are part of a song sung by the hebrews as they were leaving egypt, according to the bible, called "the song of the sea". The composers for this movie took a thousands years old text and brought it back to life with sound. I'm always touched by that part.
Nice copy/paste
Exodus 15:1-18 The Complete Jewish Bible tells about the time when ADONAI defeated the Pharaoh and his soldiers in the sea as His people reached dry land. Also known as 'Moses Song' then is followed with his sister Miriam's song in verses 20-21

10/10 movie!!
I cant stop my smile when the 2:32 inserted!
the girl that sang " ashira" was amazing!
Really amazing! 💛
This was the first time I heard this version. I loved how there was a Hebrew part. When she joined I got chills and it was so beautiful. I felt so much passion from each singer. I loved this song even more after I saw this video. Thank u Lord for gifting us 🎵 and our voices!
HALLELUJAH!!!! PRAISE GOD!!! God bless you all Guys, Youre all amazing!!!
Ok so I never knew this existed. And before pressing play, I was like ''It's not Mariah and Whitney so 🤷🏾♀️''.
They shut me up. It's not M and W, it's different and it's great.
Thank you
Alexandra's Drapetomaniac Mind - The Mariah and Whitney version is a radio version of the original, which is similar to this but sung by Michelle Pfeiffer and another woman
Hafa Daiboi I didn't even know that was Michelle P! Just went to listen to it again. I always knew the movie version but didn't like it as much as M&W's version. Now, the Broadway version has blown my mind😅.
I'm yelling at my phone " You better sang choir!" 🤗
exactly they are equally as great which I love!!!
Moses singing “You will when you believe in the end” is so beautiful
I liked the yellow-dressed singer style to sing. She is singing from the whole body and the whole who she is! So full and airy, deeply, fresh, real. I like. Talented people! 🤍 And the man in the end: great!
I used to watch this film on Passover with my grandparents and this song reminds me of the feeling it gave me, especially when the girl sings the ‘Ashira’ part.
Tears are literally running down my face
Last year I took a class in Biblical Hebrew and I’ve loved it more than any other language I’ve learned.
About a week ago for one of my classes, the professor told us to look at Exodus 15. I had my Hebrew Bible with me, so I opened it and the first verse was, “Ashira l’Adonai ki ga-oh ga-ah.” I was like HEY WAIT A MINUTE and went ahead and sure enough, the other verses in the Prince of Egypt were there. Apparently that Hebrew singing is taken directly from the song in Exodus 15 right after the Israelites crossed the Red Sea.
Hope that little story puts a smile on your face. Shalom!
It did thank you very much and God bless you. Have a nice day
Read Torah not bible. Thus movie is jewish not Christianity lol

This story is also in the Bible…read it. Christianity has Hebrew roots.
@@Azyo62 judaica predates your Christmas religious story. Hebrew roots is disrespectful and gaslight and erases culture as your book is just that a cheap imagination of life. Sorry only moses could and there is no saviour we must save our selves

The Bible is the word of God.
Repent.
Jesus Christ is Lord and He is the Savior, He died for your sins. He loves you.
The stunning woman in yellow has such a powerful and soulful voice. 😍
Dont we need to hear this again, and again. An endless message.
Oh my God! I am moved to tears by this group's performance.

THE GUY KILLED ME OH MYMY
i've never seen such a gorgeous group of people in my life
It's 2022 and I'm still listening to this song
Guy in green is so much fun and I am here for it!
When Queen Latifah said, "I want to hear God through you", this is what she meant.
I love how Christine started acting even before she started singing..
I've rewinded to the Hebrew part so much, I fell in love not only with the music, but also with the guy in the front row next to her 😅
My God, I'm crying. God Bless you all. Very clean voice
I live for the look of joy on Liam Tamne's (? is it him?) face at 3:00 when the choir kicks in.

I listen to this video every day when I'm getting ready at the gym to start my lifting work out. Something about their voices singing just does it for me to get my pump on. Plus, Christina(yellow dress) she is absolutely gorgeous and I've heard her sing on other stuff. She motivates me.
Very uplifting indeed. I think the one on the left is beautiful and all their voices are amazing
It’s 2023 and this performance still gives me chills. ❤
Ever since i first watched this movie when it came out. Ive always wanted to see a live action version with a 'musical' theme. This was a powerful movie and every song within this movie had a message. Even if u refused to hear it.
The girl in the blue is gorgeous! Has a beautiful voice too
