The reason the new country sucks is the that the execs that run Nashville came up with a formula that is basically a "cookie cutter" approach to song writing. It's all about money. Here's some fun facts for you. 1: Most songs that are released lose money. In the past, labels had to depend on the super stars on their label to keep the company solvent. Don't get me wrong, they still made millions. However, they got tired of ALWAYS having to recruit the next George Jones, or George Strait, or Loretta Lyn. Nashville is now happy to make "some" on almost every song they release, but I agree it's bland tasteless music. The passion is gone today's country is to music what a piece of card board is for lunch.
