    Just added Grammarly Free and tested it and I love it! It works with all my programs and is worth the extension download. My grammar and spelling are usually very good but sometimes I mess up with a typing error. I always proofread so I catch the error but with Grammarly, it's much easier especially, when you have a long document.

    I wonder why grammarly doesn't recognize the passive voice, only active voice.

    • @gradehacker
      @gradehacker  Před rokem

      We believe that since the active voice makes better and stronger writing, Grammarly will most of the time recommend it. Yet as we always say, Grammarly is best used as a recommendation and not to accept 100% of it says. Use it to your discretion and in some occasions the passive voice may be a better option.

    As it stands right now, on 28 April 2023 there is an annoying and MASSIVE bug with Grammarly as a native option for Android as it pertains to the CZcams mobile at.
    It is breaking the "@" tags to where they no longer highlight/hyperlink properly. Sometimes often causing the comment or reply to break to the point not even a notification gets sent out or the comment even deleting itself every time the "green" line to indicate a grammar or syntax error.
    Grammarly is Garbage and the bug needs to be patched for it to be usable.

    Whomever designed this Pot of Gold "Grammarly" was brilliant! I was TAUGHT Grammar in school when that was what our teachers did in school - teach not preach. You developers were counting on the laziness of others to create a fortune! But, without electricity too many indivuals could not write a letter to anyone about any cheat sheet... I took pride in an A on a paper done by myself. During the 1970's schools began the dumbing down of students. A pitiful example of where that lead. pretty soon all that's left is MORE discrimination and separation of ideas, like more plagiarism, lack of new concepts spelled out, and a whole new herd of unschooled sheep! So glad I learned more than a Biology lesson in my English class... but hey you got strong thumbs...

    wtf is this a review or a showcase? My local colleges are banning Grammarly from any papers because of the issues professors run into with the product. I have used the free version personally and let me tell you, I AM FORCED to proofread even more. Since then I write my own essays with my on efforts and have been doing so for fun. I write fanfics and even occasionally write some scripts of some DnD campaigns. I do not reccomend this product because it is a flawed example of catering to a lazy generation, which is being taken advantage of by a greedy company.

      @@gradehacker Let's be honest here. No it's not. Otherwise the company wouldn't be pushing it out as much as it does right now. I utilize a more humble grammar correction product personally.
      This one has let me down on so many levels, which has only devolved further more from the constant aggressive shenanigans it's pulling by waving it's flawed, greedy, product in my face during off hours.
      So no. This isn't what you're looking for, even though I'm being honest. I'm recommended an opposing FREE product that reduces the value of this product.

    Well, if most people had paid attention in college or even earlier and not been bent over their phones 24/7, they'd probably know more now. Most young people are completely illiterate. They can't read handwriting or even write it. The beauty of the English language is completely lost on the generation today. If there isn't an app on their F phone, they don't understand.

      Grammarly is, as it says, something to help your writing improve. Also, you countered yourself because you are saying that the education system is lacking yet you say that they should learn it in school. If they don't teach it, how can they learn it? Furthermore, it only makes your writing slightly better, and as he says in the video, not always right.

      @@Sabcordian Of course I was being factitious. They should learn it in school. Geez, they don't even learn cursive writing in school, let alone grammar. Grammarly is a copout for the school system, who, maybe because of untrained teachers, idiot unions, or both, don't want or can't learn proper grammar. So, it's the perfect tool for those type of people. How many times a week do you see the wrong usage of your and you're. In fact, there is a t-shirt circulating with a logo that say's: I've been drinking all day and "your" still ugly. The question is how did it get that far through the process of conception, model, type setting, printing and distribution. The idiots who did that badly, even Grammarly wouldn't help.
