  • This is a video about making my plywood 7 segment digital LED clock. I've used FreeCAD to design it. I've also used FreeCAD to create the 3D printable parts and the gcode paths for my DIY CNC Machine. The source, including the design file, can be found on my GitHub page:

    Nice project.
After finishing a WordClock I tried this one.
Soldering the LEDs was easy .
I used baking paper as diffuser for the Led light .

Cool project. I like the combination of different production methods and materials. It would look nice with a really exotic wood veneer on the front panel.

Nice clock, I'm thinking about Goulding it, but I want to ne able to change the color via the zeRGBa in the blynk app, can you please tell me what I have to change in the code in order to make it work.
I hope you can help me, thanks If you can.

I am trying to build your wooden clock, but I am unable to find the g-code that used for the front panel that hold the plastic led inserts, I have loaded the Free cad file supplied and it generates multiple errors.
Do you have the Gcode for the front panel, I am using a standard GRBL machine( Banggood 3018)

Hi this is so cool!!! Do you know if there’s a way to add a tiny speaker to a WLED clock like this to make an alarm? Can WLED support sound?

    Very good project.
I have been looking for a simple clock (7 segments) that uses wifi to be always set correctly. Thank you for doing it.
Otherwise, which Gcode generation software do you use?

Thanks. For my previous projects I've used Fusion 360 but due to a recent licence chance I switched over to FreeCAD, probably for all my future projects. Easel software (online) also works great for simple gcode. Inkscape has also a plugin for gcode which I used some years ago.

      Thank you for this information.
It's mainly FreeCad that interests me, I started using it a short time ago, on an older version.
I didn't know that version 0.18 included a Gcode generator.
Thank you very much for this information. Your work is wonderful.

F****cking awesome!!! I have two questions, are you going to do a pcb for the electronics? And second, the glass on the bed of the 3d printer is a regular glass o is it something special?
