- Earthquake Sound's Shallow Woofer System (SWS) technology provides more sound from less space with less power than any other woofer technology on the planet. The core technology of the SWS was pioneered by Joseph Sahyoun, Earthquake Sound's President and Chief Engineer. Protected by multiple global patents, our most popular model is the SWS8X/8Xi as it is a direct drop-in BMW factory replacement for the woofers located under the front seats. The SWS 8 offers an unparalleled ratio of mounting depth to excursion.
Joseph gives a brief background history, technical features, and advantages of his patented design that started a revolution of what we know today as the shallow mounting woofer. Earthquake Sound Corp. has been a leader in developing new and innovative products for over 35 years and continues to develop new and exciting technological advances in the audio industry today.

I love my 8" SWS.
Been using it for 4 years and still going.
I'm actually using it on one of my bicycles to play some bass while I enjoy bike riding.
Key features, lightweight and compact.
Just wanted to tell everybody at Earthquake, I have been using same subwoofer since 1999, a 12 inch Earthquake Magma the early version with dual 3 ohm voice coils. I've never had any issues. It was expensive but worth it.
You definitely got your money's worth.
Building a custom box for my chevy colorado crew cab, going to test out the 6.5 sws this weekend, glad to support innovative companies like this.
How did your build turn out?
Please do more videos of the car audio subwoofers and amplifiers
I'm sold. He's giving me 2 inches

The best subwoofer are earthquake whether for home or car . i had numerous of earthquake subs new and old and the magma are my favorite for sq tight and solid i had other brands from Rockford too jl audio too lanzar earthquake started it all and still is the best subwoofers for home audio i have a set of the new magma and a set of sws all in 12 " and i had a set of the original magma that i had for years on. when comes too subwoofer know one beats earthquake. and the oldschool earthquake amplifiers were the shit back in the day . thanks for all the amazing products .
What do u think of the earthquake sub zero 12s? I’m upgrading my tremors to those soon . Going sealed enclosure this time . Since the high xmax I’m jus hoping I still get that chest hitting bass .
@@theegreatest9322 i never had the subzeros i have had the magma x12 and the old school magmas 12 both sets out did my Rockford and infinty kapa and
Jl audio magmas are know for there sound quality of bass reproduction in comptiontion so i imagine that the subzeros excel in spl comptiontion for power hungry subs earthquake is still the leader in home audio for bass reproduction and amplifiers
Are the 6.5 sws used in the componen systems?
Which one should I buy 2ohm or 4ohm? Am upgrading from a stock hifi system in a bmw f10. Thanks.
You will have to check the specs on your stock head unit. I believe the 2 Ohm SWS8 will work for your system , but double check.
I wanna do a proper upgrade to my trailblazer bose door subwoofers, SWS 6.5 obviously the only real aftermarket upgrade. How much power can I feed the 6.5s for max performance and headroom?
We rate them for 200W MAX.
@@earthquakesound3628 I must then ask, is that 200 max RMS wattage? Or is that peak wattage your speaking of? Its incredibly key to which amplifier I wind up buying for these bad boyz, and brands are notorious for being vague about these specs. Thank you!

Where i Can Buy a 15" (SWS15)?
They're discontinued. Happy hunting.
