I absolutely hate when people "camp" at the squat rack and spend two minutes lifting, then 45 minutes on the phone
Other day at gym fella full on sat down crossed legged and started scrolling his phone inbetween doing cables!
Or they claim a bench with their towel and cell phone. Without actually using the bench for exercise.
Or when chicks hog the squat rack to do hip thrusts when there’s an actual hip thrust machine
Yea shit gets old I hate when there is like 5 mfs working out together taking up the machines for 30 min or when someone will take up 2 machines at once and when u walk up to get on it they will stop working out to tell u that they are using it and will have a shitty attitude smh
@@prisonmike729I just use it because they won’t do shit.
Dude who slapped guy has not been punched in his face for disrepecting someone
He shouldn't have slapped the other guy but he probably had a legitimate beef. I've seen so many kids rack 315 for deadlifts and then just stand around for 10+ minutes talking and flexing in the mirror. One guy racked the 315, waited about 5 minutes, couldn't deadlift it, and then removed a 45 from each side, waited another 10 minutes, and finally proceeded to do an actual set. Ego lifting is as bad for a gym environment as bullying, it has no place in a work environment.
Video evidence of an assault? I'd have dialed 911.
@@badshah_BC Yea I see it all the time. Standing around not doing shit.
Idk my maxs for the machines so i just start high n go down but i dont wait around like a bum quickly find the weight an bump out 3 heavys sets move on

Take a step back, he was maybe right, the guy filming himself, probably posing etc... hes not working, hes annoying wasting everyone time.
I miss the early 2000s. We used to lift, ignore each other, and go home. The hostility on both sides is outlandish. Grown children.
I miss those days. Those were my early 20’s. I’m a 42 year old virgin. Society would even call me a loser. However back in the day, I remember being able to strike up a conversation with the hot gym bunny about movies and whatnot while we were on cardio machines. I miss those days. I miss people.
@@Filthy_Larry I was the same age. And yeah, it was exactly that way. All good people.

Yup. Social media destroyed the gym scene. There to workout, not be seen.
Guess you have that issues only in the US. In my gym in germany i do my workout, talk to nobody and leave 🤷🏻♂️
There are no people recording shit.
This is why I stopped going to gyms years ago and work out at home instead. To many egos and assholes.
Dude it's bad, I go really late at night, because it's really bad
Yup
Same. I could never get to the freeweights because a team of muscleheads camped out and rotated through among themselves for hours on end.
One thing my father used to say a lot was, "Good manners cost you nothing but will take you far". It seems a lot of people have forgotten the very concept of good manners.
Your Father was a smart man.
So right, I always have good manners but most people today are just not as receptive, I would greet my co-workers and a few
would greet me back but some will blatantly ignore me, but I still will greet them anyways or I will just be the same as them
by reflecting off their negativity.
As long as you remember that "people treat you how you let them." Good manners are always Plan A...
Which is where the whole "be polite, be professional..." saying came from.
Social media made people forget how to be social.
Just watching this video and you see a lot of people are quick to lose their temper.
Dont touch people unless you're willing to deal with whatever response they deem necessary.
I kinda wonder if they at least casually knew each other, even just being at the same gym. Thats unacceptable from a random, but completely normal if you are boys or even just kinda know each other it isnt a huge deal. At first I was like fck no he didn't, but his arguement didnt sound like he wanted to fight or was even trying to humiliate the little guy. Just shouldnt have got that jacked up.
The fact it was recorded, there’s a good chance the slapper got banned from the gym and was liable for battery if the other guy felt like pressing charges.
That would be them talking about what they could have did and being a keyboard warrior. Gen z and millennials ain't nothing. Plus this country is a big joke. You want to see tough go to Russia.
@@paulengels6926 lol, Russia pretends to be tough for wanna be tough guys on the internet.

My gym pet peeve is when someone grabs the weights from rack and starts curling right there in front of the weight rack, blocking the weights for everyone else.
That and blocking other people’s view so they can’t see there form.
Same
And right in front of where you are working. Horrible.
Wait 30 seconds, or get a home setup, Nancy.
That drives me up a mfk wall ...
A lot of gyms have gone to policies where recording is no longer allowed, mainly because of these social media idiots that disrupt everyone else's workouts with their narcissism. I encountered this once at my own gym where a girl told me "I'm recording" and I said, "Yeah, I pay the same fees as you and I'll go anywhere I damn well please", then reported her to one of the staff members who them made her stop recording. She no longer works out at that gym and we're all better off for it.
Not all heroes wear capes.
Thank you, the gym shouldn’t be a place for influencers being desperate to seek attention it should be a place for people to feel comfortable to better their fitness & health
Being Humble and kind goes a lot further then most would think. I try to be nice to everyone till the point I cant.
Not for Jesus it didn't.
To JESUS saving all of us was worth that price. Remember its not all about down here on Earth I am Living for what is to come in Heaven with GOD. Down here being kind will sometimes get you walked on and other times it will help change the person that was going to do bad but either way we are to be Kind its worth chancing that just maybe it will help change that person. I go to the gym I preach health and Jesus.
All gyms need to prohibit filming and recording in any way, whether phone or camera on tripod. This narcissistic behavior is what‘s wrong with the young people today.
Most gyms do
I both agree and disagree. I agree due to all the narcissists that ruin the gym for people. However I disagree as some PT courses require you to do a filmed session with you training a client to submit aspart of course work. While there may not be a be all, end all solution for this. I'm sure there's ways to improve the situation.
At my gym, if you sign up for a personal trainer you can have this section of the gym that only clients can go. Usually its always available. Our trainers encourage us to film ourselves mostly to submit and document if our technique is right. Otherwise outside of that area you can’t really film elsewhere in the gym. Unless there is absolutely no one there. A guy was taking photos in the bathroom one time and they revoked his membership. With signs plastered specifically that there is absolutely no cameras, photos or filming in there. I feel they have a good gym by doing this. TBH if someone walked in front of my camera I would not give a shit.
@@solsotice6775It’s different if you work in a gym and are filming your classes. People who do it for themselves are dorks
@@DGD355 I'm not meaning if you work in the gym. What I'm getting at is if you are working towards becoming a PT.

I used to know a guy who LOVED violence. He used to fight people for fun. He got a knife pulled on him once and said seeing it was like a dose of ecstasy because he knew he didn't have to hold back. I'd argue that is more terrifying to witness than some random person pulling out a knife.

So with that logic noone should be topless at the beach or at a swimming pool. People too easily offended. The guy is not harming anybody.
I'm just asking but.....is it really wrong for a guy to have his shirt off?
(Is it immoral or something?)
@@cedricroberts4336 at the beach isn’t a hygiene concern. No one wants to use a machine after a shirtless, sweaty dude soaks it. No UV light in a gym to kill bacteria. You’re using the word “offended” incorrectly. No one is offended by a shirtless man in the gym. It’s just not a good look. It screams for attention and it’s pitiful. People need to have some self-awareness and decency.

Didn’t stop anyone who saw them from having a good laugh at their expense.
Needle dude needs to chill out though.
I ended my gym membership and purchased workout equipment for home because of the amount of would be influencers filming themselves in the gym. My gym asked me why I was letting my membership go and I told them I’m sick of the people hogging machines by setting up cameras, filming their workout, telling people to not block their cameras, and refilming when they decided they didn’t like what they recorded. I honestly don’t know how gyms stay in business with the amount of people I know quitting them because of the ridiculous amount of social media posts people feel the need to make at them.
I did exactly the same as you. I haven't stepped foot in a commercial gym in years, I hated waiting for equipment. I couldn't follow my routine because every station had a line. Commercial gyms turn my hour workout into 3 hours. I got my home gym and never looked back at that nonsense.
A lot of “men” that spend their life at the gym are fragile little butterflies waiting to come out of their cocoons😂 getting so emotional over their little videos or if someone walk in front of them.

I was hitting the small weight room in my climbing gym yesterday, circuiting between different exercises for back. There were only a few of us up there. One was a woman who was using one side of the cable crossover rack, doing rotator cuff work/some sort of triceps pushdown. The problem was, as soon as she finished her set, she'd plant her ass on a bench in front of the other cable and text away, oblivious that others might want to use it. Sure, I could ask her to move. But her lack of awareness was baffling.
Sometimes just say something. I accidentally walked in front of an apparent crossfit class of 4 people to get some dumb bells. The instructor told me what area they were using but that I was welcome to grab the dumb bells. Now I know what their stupid class looks like and I dont walk near them.

All I do is put my earbuds in and ignore everyone get my workout done and bounce, Why dudes that are there all the damn time think they can just walk up on someone and come out there neck like everyone else at the gym's workout on any given piece of equipment revolves around them is pathetic. They have some of the most unrealistic expectations I've ever seen anywhere, which is why I don't engage at all I just a hit the pause button on my workout and look them dead in the eye and the message is conveyed. They can leave it at that or push the issue either way they are going to wait till I'm done. Cap.
I'm not a stranger to situations like this in the gym. Here's my take, whenever a tough guy wants to claim ownership in a public gym over weights especially where I work out I say NO, and always invite them to work together, when I'm resting but not done, be my guest your turn. Because I always have this approach I expect the same from others. So the answer is NO, I'm done when I'm done but you're my guest to join no problem. Only one time recently I had a guy coming to me as I just started inline bench, first set, he says to me to do another machine.... Same answer NO! He looked at me and walked away. Listen I'm about 160lbs right now at @ 5' 10. Not the biggest guy, but you'd be surprised the weights I push around. I used to do Calisthenics, my best form was @ 170lbs pure muscle. One thing at my age I don't back down from bullies. I say bring it big boy
The guy got way to heated to fast, even if he had a good point, without first just saying something at a normal volume. A "Hey bro I got next." To let the guy know he was waiting. Now if they know each other it wouldn't be that bad, but it's kinda like guy just is on a cycle and flew off the handle.
I think you can drive your point across without having to mention that you do Calisthenics and push heavy weights haha. Its good that youre staying firm when youre working out but i think there must also a distinction that we draw between actual bullies and people who are either simply impatient or lack gym etiquette. The guy asking you to vacate the incline bench might be a bully, and the "tough guys" you were talking abt in your first point might simply be inquiring into how many sets you have left. Just curious, what did they do to lead you to the conclusion that they were tryna "claim ownership" over the gym weights?
the best way is to just ignore them, they will feel utterly humiliated that you won't even acknowledge their existence
I'm 5'9 190lbs I don't work out but my job is landscaping and cleaning out old houses which means I move a lot of heavy stuff. I also like to play baseball. I look like a methhead if I get down to 170. I guess it all depends on how your body is shaped and proportioned 🤔
I'm 0'1", and i try to tell them a firm 'no', but I just get walked all over 😔
Always be humble guys
“This is the wrong toes you stepping on buddy wrong toes” 😂😂
I go to the gym and i have never seen anything like it before. All the guys with big muscles think that they are tough. It's crazy. Squaring up, flaring up and looking like they want to try something. I pretty much always keep things on me at all times and will defend myself. It's definitely a dangerous game. And muscles definitely give people a false sense of reality.
Whether it's been an hour or not, you don't put your hands on someone else. That's assault, chief. Keep your hands to yourself.
Actually it's assault and battery.

@nickk9253 couldn’t agree more. When human decency is declining at such a rate as it is in the West sometimes people need to feel the consequences of their actions. In this case though I wouldn’t have slapped the guy rather talk to him. Slapping is for when talking doesn’t work anymore.

Back when I would go to the gym you would do a set, and let someone else work in, and do your next. People today put their ear buds in and you literally got to tap them 2 or 3 times just to get them to hear you ask if you can work in
The problem isn’t the earbuds, it’s that they totally ignore their surroundings even with their eyes. Everyone knows when someone else is waiting on them. The proper thing to do is invite others to work in a set rather than others having to ask or wait until you’re finished. There’s been a huge decline in societal consideration for others. Nowadays too many people are selfish and expect not to have to interact with others in public spaces.

The only thing that gets under my skin when going to the gym is when people don't re-rack, reset, or clean the equipment after they're done using it. They either leave the dumbells on the floor or on the bench. They leave a *loaded* bar on the squat rack or on the ground. Completly caked in chalk of course. Plates scattered all over the place. My personal "favorite"... a machine that is still set to the highest weight and is still drenched in sweat and "ass gravy".
Luckly the guy who owns the gym that I go to has very strict rules about no cameras, loitering, and keeping the gym clean. He is known for kicking people out and revoking their memberships for either not cleaning up after themselves, hogging/ horse playing, and starting shit with other gym members.
i was at the gym every day for years but haven't been in a few. y'all making me want to never go back
i don't understand when and why it became so hard for ppl to mind their own fukin business.
After 2017 everybody got too comfortable disrespecting with our consequences
social media companies push degeneracy, narcissism, and everything wrong within our society. that's how you get it.
No doubt! Holy fuk 🤦
3:00 Black jacket actually pulled a knife on the dude you can see
and you can hear the other Guy say "Dont pull a knife out for everything" absolute idiotic behavior
Yea. That's Joshua Hopkins, Kali pulled a knife on. He ain't scared cause he's a combat vet, and mma fighter. Who was also probably strapped.
As it was pulled by an ex convict, I believe the term is "shank", knives are for more civilized people.
"she" gonna get the stick out from me
Yeah that second guy needs to be taught a lesson. Why can't I encounter clowns like that at the gym?
Best way to deal with that guy hogging and slacking on the squats is to say ‘can I get some sets in while you rest’ and life goes on. People be trippin on test bruh
Man that last one gives Steven Seagal a run for his money lol
It would be real easy to contact the coaching staff at Central Florida and provide them with that Epcot video. I wonder how Mr. "I play football" would feel about that?
The football staff said he did not play there, the guy made it all up!
He meant he played with himself at UCF football game 😅😅😅
Love the end. “Get some help” 😅
I've never seen guys like this before, crazy that they're out there 😧
You know, I'm the toughest mofo in the world and can defeat any opponent.
As long as they don't fight back.
Ever.
THIS GUY CAN WORKOUT AS LONG AS HE WANTS
Agreed. I've been in that situation many times where someone was taking a long time with equipment. It sucks, but it's not something to fight over. I either ask to work in with them, or I switch up the exercise I was planning on doing. There are many ways to work a muscle, not just one. Adapt.
@@Defx10nah if he's hogging the bar and doesn't let you work in then there's a problem, you shouldn't have to change your workout for someone else
@@yourunemployedfriendat2pm Does "you shouldn't have to change your workout for someone else" apply to the guy already using the equipment or nah?
@@yourunemployedfriendat2pm Plus, he's not "hogging" anything. He's not blocking any weight racks, not taking up a machine or bench, and there are plenty of bars on the ground behind him that the other guy can use. As far as I can tell, the guy is doing absolutely nothing wrong.
@@Defx10 Well yea that's why I said working in. The guy already using the equipment can let the other guy use it while he rests. That's not changing their workout. Everyone has a right to use the equipment in the gym they're paying their membership for.
I just invested in a home gym, going now and just seeing people on their phones taking selfies is just wild.
5:38 This the wrong toad you're stepping on, buddy. Wrong toad.
This was at the gym I train at in California !! That's an Olympic lifting platform .... Literally no one in the gym Olympic lifts.... That guy could have done deadlifts anywhere else!! He had no excuse to even be mad
I was just wondering what gym has such a lack of space to deadlift 😂 My gym legitimately has like 15 squat/deadlift platforms and it’s a small weight room
There's no such thing as hogging a barbell, if theres only one barbell in the whole gym that's a you problem for ppicking a sshitty gym.
“ You’re off at 9 o clock I’ll be back brother” yooo lmfaooo😂
After watching this it made me happy I work out at home.
Thanks to CZcams's algorithms, I can't say what I would do to the guy if I was there!
Social media is wrecking the gym scene, apparently. Gym's need to fix this and just ban phones in the gym altogether. Leave em in your bag.
When I was growing up people would get their ass beat for that kind of crap and no one called the cops, no one got charged; it was just normal behavior.
GET ARAKO TO 1M SUBS!
All cameras in gyms banned, no exceptions.
Why? So violations can go unseen? No chance.
@@j.menapace625 security cameras obviously allowed, I meant people filming in the gym genius
@@serdavosseaworth6115 People filming in gyms can capture angles, audio, and other things that security cameras can't. Not to mention that PRs and big lifts are kind of a business on social media and banning them simply because they make you feel insecure is both childish and unfair. Either learn to co-exist with it or workout from home.
How about you learn to coexist.... 🤣
It's fine if y'all would be less narcissistic about it....
I hold two state records in my age/weight class for deadlifts....and my other lifts are good enough to compete. Never once did I need a camera to confirm to myself how great I am. The record that is certified speaks for me .....maybe you should reassess your personal morals, values, and ethics.
Good luck
@@johnnyringo35 I'm fine with people filming in the gym. I co-exist with them just fine. It's dweebs like the OP here that want to place blanket bans on filming with "no exceptions" and without thinking it through.
And people who film big lifts/PRs also get views (and, thus, ad money) for it-- hence why I said this is a "business". That's cool that your secure with your state record speaking for itself, but don't try to make others cater to your outlook on life.
"Who is tbis dude? This is jesus bruh" 😂😂😂😂😂 Im not laughing.
“I play for Central Florida.”
Now I’m really scared!!!😂😂😂
I’m willing to bet the guy who slapped him never approached him before that. He just bottled up that rage for an hour and then came in out of nowhere. Maybe that guy didn’t even know he was waiting for the area. Let him know you’re waiting from the get go. Most people are considerate if they know someone’s waiting and speed up a bit.
I was thinking the same thing. Dude was just looking for an excuse to get mad at someone :V
Yeah he was definitely in the wrong but an hour? c'mon!!!! If that was even remotely an accurate depiction of the time he was hogging the station then management should have stepped in or formulate a policy on time per station like they do the cardio equipment.
I do not like bullies
*BAN FILMING*
Haha the chill out guys were hilarious 🤣
Love your content man. Keep doin your thing.
Thank you for such a generous donation Matt, it’s much appreciated.
@@arakotv for sure homie. You need not thank me though as you’re doing all your viewers a favor with your top tier content.
Life is tough for us manlets
Guy shouldn't have slapped him but if you're hogging the only spot in the gym for an HOUR, you should at least let him work in.
And you can respectfully ask the guy to do that instead of physically assaulting him. Otherwise go ask the gym staff to intervene.
Yeah both were out of line, I can understand the guys frustration but people need to learn to be diplomatic and if that fails, talk to the staff, if they keep causing problems they'll get the boot.
@@Okunniger_Volkernot out of line on the same moral ground
@jurassicthunder definitely agree.
