  • Located more than 70 miles away from the famous site of Angkor Wat, the Koh Ker Pyramid is a largely forgotten part of Cambodia. It sits in a jungle-filled region, and is one of 180 sanctuaries in a 31 square mile area, but only 25 of them can be visited.
    It is the centrepiece of the Prasat Thom site inside a great wall on a flat plain and is thought to be the only true pyramid in Cambodia. The base measures 66 metres or 216.54 feet square and has a height of 40 metres or 131.23 feet, making it about 70 feet smaller than the Egyptian pyramid of Menkaure on the Giza Plateau.

    Good video on more examples of a very connected history of humanity that goes back hundreds of thousands of years.
    The eruption of the Krakatoa volcano in Indonesia/Sumatra (I forget which) back 70,000 years ago was one of the most Earth-changing events that sunk a major part of the land surrounding it (Atlantis/Le(Mu)ria?).
    And there's also the oldest pyramid ever discovered in that region (Indonesia/Sumatra/Java).

    Srigirya, that fortress in India has a conical hill nearby, I wonder if they have similar function. Also, it's interesting the relationship of the pyramids and mounds, and to have two side by side like this, to me, suggests some related but distinct multi functionality, perfect for a vin diagram. I have an idea mounds and pyramids are related, but that mounds developed from many purposes, often combined on various ways as their functionality was integrated more and more over time. So, an ancient hidden heap was useful for defense from a raid, then the platform was given defense features, and somewhere else it flooded and they observed the platform was above water and increased its size, and somewhere else a burial mound became a well known and prestigious sacred site, etc. etc...
    Moreover, if the conical mound is indeed the burial site of the pyramid builder, it would lend Creedence to the idea that the other pyramids weren't built specifically to be tombs.

      I was watching a documentary on Sigirya and would very much love to visit it one day. I asked myself if there maybe any 🐟 in the water basin on top, since it was on a mountain. I mean, how would the 🐟 get up there? Shortly after, I had a last minute unexpected trip to Cambodia. One of the destinations during my trip there was to Preah Vihear (a temple up on the moutain), followed to Koh Ker about 5 hrs later. I must say, walking through Preah Vihear really gave me a vibe of the same purpose as Sigirya. And it answered my question, there are 🐟 in the water basin in Sirgirya because there were 🐟 in the water basin in Preah Vihear as well. Preah Vihear is so similar to Sigirya. It took roughly 300 years to build.

  • @HWHY
    @HWHY Před 5 lety +8

    There likely was a structure atop the pyramid (probably implying two more additional "steps", one if the ground level of earth itself was construed as the first level/step) and it's exceedingly probable that the height was designed to match the width of the base exactly.
    The motif of the complex is self-evidently all squares and right angles, and the alignment at a 15° offset (15°x24[hrs]=360°) implies that they intended to represent a spatial understanding of the earthly sphere floating in the cosmic sea--hence the flooding of (at least part of) the enclosure.
    It's a pyramidal representation of our planet, just like TGP at Giza, and there may be (at the very least) basic math encoded within the structure to imply that it's an attempt at modeling to scale and not merely an abstract representation of relative physical shape andor function.

    • @GriseGaot
      @GriseGaot Před 5 lety +2

      I don't think it was additional structures atop the pyramid, and my reasoning behind this statement is due to ancient Asians way of seeing life, perfection and "ether".
      What I mean by this: the pyramid is finished, but it can never become perfect, because perfection don't exist in the universe. They where not found by pointy structures because you push the "ether" away and give you bad "Feng Shui" (karma). Number 7 is represented in ancient Asian as the "harmonic" number because it contain "yin and yang" and the five elements (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth).

      This is a video of the "wave" marks made by ice and rock floating after the impact. Some of the waves is 4 building in hight, and geologist say its made fast, like a tsunami, not the normal speed of ice grinding the bellow thousands of years.

    There was giant crystal lingam on top of pyramid.. it was not placed there just for some visiter attraction there must a big scientific reason behind it... But unfortunately the lingam and reason behind it has lost with time. Also people that pyramid area worship a elephant and they say God king made this pyramid.. in hinduism Indra is the God king and his ride is elephant.

    All pyramids are traced to Sri Yantra. Sri yantra provides the blue print of pyramid construction. Looking at Sri yantra one is looking at the pyramid from above. Sri yantra stands for the sum of all knowledge.

    Damn I wish to watch your videos so badly. I love your content - it's interesting and well edited, really like it. But honestly... Please, please make someone else read your text out loud. It's so annoying to listen to. I am not meaning to offend you in any way, I am just saying that everybody has his strengths and weaknesses. I am so interested in the kind of videos you make, but I am not able to listen to this generic pattern of reading. I can literally play chords to your pattern of pronouncing any sentence. It's always the same. I am sure you will find some half talented speaker to read out your content, that would be amazing. Yet, great videos, great content. Please keep the good work up, but stop reading it out. Please.
