@Michael Ransom very true Mike....if you think back to the bands and artists of the 60s and 70s the industry was flooded with such amazing talent and everyone seemed to have their own sound or identity. Rarely did you hear 2 or 3 band that sounded very generic and like one another. Call me stuck in the past but there will never be an era in rock music that combined all of the different sounds, styles, and influences that the 60s and 70s did. It might be the the landscape for music at that time was newer. Those groups were drawing from traditional blues, funk, classical, jazz, country etc. etc and than putting it down fresh into their own brand of music. That just doesn't happen anymore. I've heard unknown groups that are ok that try to mix different genres to develop their own thing nowadays but it falls short. There definitely is plenty of young talented musicians I watch on You Tube but the entire landscape and the music industry is completely different!!! Kind of sad in my opinion.

The Wolfgang tunes kick serious ass! I feel you though. It sucks when you put so much work into a band and everything's going your way except for the "all-knowing" bean counters. Sounds like Wolfgang would have fit right in with the ABC/Dunhill roster of the day. I've often asked myself what's worse, being ignored and not getting a record deal or actually getting a record deal and THEN being ignored by the label that signed you?! Glad you still have the tracks. Yes, post more. Or maybe put them all on SoundCloud.

Wolfgang...yes! Reminds me a little bit of one of my favourite bands at the time: Rhinoceros. I think it was Steely Dan’s producer’s first attempt at assembling a supergroup. Except for the instrumental, Apricot Brandy, it was a commercial failure, but that first album still stands up (IMHO). And your 2 Wolfgang tracks reminded me of the raw, soulful and tasty 1st Rhinoceros album. I probably never would have heard of them except for the fact that my mother and the auntie of the band’s piano player were very good friends. Some of the best music ever made was never a commercial success.

It's gratifying to see a Walter Woods amp in your arsenal, can't tell what power it is. I had a couple in the 80s, wish I could afford an Ultra. I met Walter who played sax at an Orange County backyard party in 1972, I was on bass. He brought the bench prototype for the ice cream sandwich, a gawd awful looking monstrosity. But it sounded sweet, clear and phat and that's why he brought it along with a Peter Woodford 15" cab. Nicest human being I've ever known, Saw him last around 1998 in Palm Desert.
