- This is our 2024 tour of the Montgenevre campervan and motorhome camp site / park up / Aire du camping car. Montgenevre is a ski resort in France, in the Alps, on the Italian border with a huge motorhome campsite ("aire" in french)
We are fairly new to this whole thing so please excuse our uselessness!!!
We travelled here for Christmas and New year skiing with our 2 little girls, we had a great time, it's great for kids but also linked to the 5th biggest ski area in the world! The Aire has everything you need to keep you going through the winter.
-- This place is pretty awesome! Here are the Pro's and Con's --
Pro's
220 Places, so not much risk of it being full
The Aire is around 10 Euros per night
Electric included
Freshwater
Grey water disposal
Cassette disposal and cleaning facilities
50m from the pistes
The N1 Free bus stops at the Aire exit
7 Minute walk to the main town
Altitude of 1860m makes it pretty snow sure
The skiing is great and linked to the Via Lattea
The resort is very beginner friendly
Always seems to be in the sun
Resort isn't very busy in school holidays
Separate luge area with crash pads
Can ski from the top to the bottom on green runs
Nearest shop is around a 5 minute walk away
Con's
No toilet in the Aire
After 7 days the fees get disproportionately higher.

Hi, great video and just what I've been looking for! From December did 10 days in Le Corbier (FR) and Andorra skiing (both hotels with friends). And now after some time on Spanish sea coast want to drive back in my camper to the Alps. For more ski. Been thinking about Dolomites but see limited possibilities on P4N. So will try this spot as a starting point! 😉

I notice there is a lift going over the aire. not expecting pistes about but would it be possible (assuming you have alift pass already) to freeride to the lift at the start of the day and then freeride back to the aire at the end?
Hi, yes. You'll need to walk down past the petrol station to get to the snow which takes you to the lift. But the way home is pretty easy, you just peel off the blue run before you get to the aire and you can pretty much ride to the aire entrance. 👍
