It’s pretty much common sense …women date up (Filipina are no different)and preferably with a guy with the attributes such stability, good job etc. My Filipina has never dated province guy for her own reasons, city girls are very different especially Manila Filipina, they are more modern and really strive for that little bit extra out of a future partner. We western guys are blessed to find such beautiful companions, in a country of very welcoming people. God bless 🙏

Great everyone was very honest I have to add the biggest part that most western guys need to get used too is the pace being slower. I think they should arrive in the country with a mind set of having to adjust. I did feel frustrated at first but realized that that is just the way it is there. I feel when rouhinena (spelling sorry) said some of them ass holes I feel those may be the westerners that have not adapted their personalities to the Filipino culture. I hired a car and the traffic was wicked but I found most frustrating was the trikes going really slow on the open roads then I thought I need a motorbike as well. Also adjusting to the pace there. I had limited time when I was there in April 2019. Now when I'm back there I will be super chilled take my time...and probably that was have less stress. So westerners needs to adapt to the culture.
I think hypergamy is just as common in the PI as in the US. The big difference is a guy making 1500 on SS may be seen as a level up vs in the US a level down.

Because of our colonial history with centuries of rule under Spain and America, Filipinos have the most extensive experience in inter-racial /cross-breeding with foreigners, - mainly Caucasians, and Chinese as well due to China's proximity - resulting in mixed lineage individuals commonly termed "mestizos" and "mestizas" . These kinds of relationship are not frowned upon, and there is hardly any resistance as long as the visitor or expats planning permanent residence could observe such universal values as honesty, fairness and respect.

make sure that you get your booster shot if you want to re enter the Philippines. Or you will be refused entry. I was watching another foreigner who went aboard from the Philippines with his Filipino wife and both thought that fully vaccinated meant the 2 shots but they were refused re entry and had to go out again to get the booster shot, so be sure to get the booster before leaving. be safe.
I am a german, yes you are right with "the german do it like this" (thumb, index finder and middle finger is three). The explanation of course is that if you are near the equator you count from the thin finger on. This is because of the nothern and the southern hemisphere, absolutely logical :]
I just tested the counting scenario with Leah, she also started with her little finger, ive never noticed this before so we also just tested our kids, they all do it the western way also. 🙂 Funny Filipinas!
During the first year I would get the silent treatment for 2-4 hours. Sometimes I had no idea why. She needed alone time to sort it out in her head. It never happens anymore.

The income strata factor in higher-income Filpino parents wanting their children to "level-up" is real. Here in the USA, at my job, a Filipina was promoted after getting her Master's degree while working, and she confided in me that her Filipino Husband's Mother made it known that they weren't impressed with her new income, compared to their Son's income (her Husband). I felt bad for her because I knew how hard she worked to get where she was.
I moved to Thailand back in December, will be moving to the Philippines in August. One thing I like to ask foreigners here is 'how long can you live here if your current job is gone tomorrow?'.....this is mainly for the younger guys in the 30 to 40 range. I am amazed by the 'balls' of some of these guys who told me they'd have 5 months before going broke. I even talked to one guy who's getting an 'education visa' and was told that he didn't need to attend classes unless he wanted to learn Thai. He then said he'd be bringing his mother to live with him eventually. Man the look on his face when I told him that his new visa was most likely illegal and if he ever tried to leave the country he'd go outside the 'bribe chain'....and a simple way for immigration to check if you've got a legit education visa is to make you speak Thai to them. I told him if he's caught he'd get blacklisted from ever entering Thailand again. The point of that is to ask you 'what are your plans for the future?' Have you put any thought into how you will support yourself later in life? Social security, maybe a pension...will you be doing CZcams using a walker 40 years from now? ;-) Myself I am almost 55, have some money in the bank most of which I saved up these last 4 years. I can apply for a reduced pension anytime those funds run low and then eventually social. If I wait until 60 i'll have $1,500 a month, then at 62 another $1,500 from SS. More than enough to live on in the Philippines and still travel.
Hey John! I am an Engineer - and I found the same answer already on the Internet! So, your suggesstion is not a bad joke. I have sometimes the same problems with my Notebook with utilizes a switching power supply. A friend (who is more in elekctronics and electric than myself) told me already this tipp - also if you have a large Noise on an Audiodevice (Karaoe!) that can better the situation... Back to my Notebook, if I "feel" some power on the case - that is the 110volts from the power line, my friend told me... Here in the Phils we have (most of the time) 110V at 60 Hz (versus 220V at 50Hz).

I think that the difference between western women and Asian women is often less than you think. But the reason the Asian woman is more grateful and less inquisitive about your finances is that in the west, they are trying to figure out if your finances are similar to their own or hopefully much greater. Many Asian women, especially Filipinas, don’t have to wonder if you are well off compared to them, only if you are 10x better off or 100x, and for them it dorsnt matter so much because being with you will make them secure and financially comfortable. I think the women aren’t nearly as different as their finances are.
The reason the locals look at you is they dont see people like you and they also look at you as rich and of high standing, this is why they are so friendly as well. Your lady is a given Gio, she is pretty and she has good mannerism, you are lucky to find her, plenty of pretty woman here but compatability is rare. You are right and your friend is correct, you never have a Filipino lose face, this is above all things in the Philippines
I agree some expats come here & think they can buy any Filipina, that is not true. I have even heard vloggers say why buy when U can rent. I do not own anyone. All Ne's parents cared about is that I am good to her. I have always lived in Filipino neighborhoods, almost all of my male friends are Filipino men. None have ever said anything negative about me being with Ne. I can be flirty but I don't mean anything by it, I just joke around a lot.

Filipinas consider us more responsible because they meet us when we are older men. If they met us as young 20 year old men then they would know we were just as irresponsible as the people they are comparing us with.
My ex, here in Phoenix, was Filipina. I'm sure at one point she had the qualities of these Filipinas. But after 20 yrs in the states, seems like she lost those qualities. I literally had the only Filipina that didn't cook lol. The only thing she had to offer was that she was smokin hot. Other than that, she brought nothing to the table. She wanted me to simp over her. that's why I ended it. Also, Filipinas born n raised in the states are the worst
definitely agree. anybody who lives outside their home country would surely adapt the lifestyle of that country they living in but hopefully not to lose the qualities of their race.

The two biggest things I learned from my Philippino is Patience and don't take simple things for granted .

I think that the difference between western women and Asian women is often less than you think. But the reason the Asian woman is more grateful and less inquisitive about your finances is that in the west, they are trying to figure out if your finances are similar to their own or hopefully much greater. Many Asian women, especially Filipinas, don’t have to wonder if you are well off compared to them, only if you are 10x better off or 100x, and for them it dorsnt matter so much because being with you will make them secure and financially comfortable. I think the women aren’t nearly as different as their finances are.

I agree some expats come here & think they can buy any Filipina, that is not true. I have even heard vloggers say why buy when U can rent. I do not own anyone. All Ne's parents cared about is that I am good to her. I have always lived in Filipino neighborhoods, almost all of my male friends are Filipino men. None have ever said anything negative about me being with Ne. I can be flirty but I don't mean anything by it, I just joke around a lot.

My ex, here in Phoenix, was Filipina. I'm sure at one point she had the qualities of these Filipinas. But after 20 yrs in the states, seems like she lost those qualities. I literally had the only Filipina that didn't cook lol. The only thing she had to offer was that she was smokin hot. Other than that, she brought nothing to the table. She wanted me to simp over her. that's why I ended it. Also, Filipinas born n raised in the states are the worst
definitely agree. anybody who lives outside their home country would surely adapt the lifestyle of that country they living in but hopefully not to lose the qualities of their race.
I 100 percent agree with you about smoking hot Filipinas born abroad a lots of them are super narcissistic walking around like a diva goddess who need to be worshipped lol 😂😂. Apart from my British Filipina friend that I worked with in the UK during mid nineties she is so polite and down to earth a rarity I am yet to encounter till present day.
Western woman dont come close to Filipina in every way, Filipina are way more caring and super loyal to their man, you just cant compare the two and its the main reason us guys come here , not for the beautiful beaches , not for the climate, not for business, (even though some of us do) But for the woman, lets face it , Filipina dont judge you and a lot of us arent fit like you Gio, we have injurys from war and other things that age brings forth, Filipina dont care about those things if anything they want to care for you even more
As a Disabled Combat Veteran myself I could hardly hear and or understand what the ladies were saying. I'm interested in hearing what they have to say, so maybe next time they can either hold the mic closer or wear one please. My wife is from Mindanao and we live in Cagayan de Oro City.
