The night lords have been my favorite chaos faction since reading the ADB trilogy. Good video. I will say however, that textually, even in 40k, Kurze was misguided at best. Yes, he had a twisted sense of justice, but even his first captain, Jago Sevatarion, pointed out that his methods weren't even ultimately effective. Yes, he achieved compliance with low casualties, but even his own homeworld receded back into violence and chaos less than a decade after he left. Tyranny and fear does not inspire loyalty in the long term, whereas his brothers such as Dorne, Sanguinius and Guilliman brought worlds into the imperium that would stay loyal after their back was turned. I still love them, they have a lot of character underneath the edgelord trappings.

Did you read the first Night Lords book? The one that wasn't tied to that trilogy? It's another great one.
Curze was alone among all the primarchs in that he was alone. Even Russ had the wolves. They are deprived of a fundamental component of humanity. The Chaos gods worked harder to scramble some primarchs more than others. The virtue of justice could have been an incredible virtue to have on the side of the good guys. He needed the connection to humanity, rather than being too distant to understand them.

I would say they would do great in Game of Thrones, but I think that they would turn fantasy political intrigue series into a horror film.

Because it's the only setting where such a sweaty edge-lord faction wouldn't be laughed out of existence?

Okay, I love the 40k universe and the Marvel Universe. Be aware the MCU is not the entirety of what’s available. The Age of Apocalypse is yet another fine example. I honestly believe the creation of a 40k Cinematic Universe will create this same narrow view of 40k long-term. Cheers!
Also DC sucks and your comments are on point.

@@anegativeatheist-9327 I wasn't speaking only about the MCU. It is why I included the Punisher because as an outsider looking in, it seems as nowadays, Marvel is trying to pretend he doesn't exist.

What do you mean by work? Causse if work means characters agree with his "ideals" then he doesn't even work in Warhammer partiality because he's objectively incorrect

They are just an edgy ripoff of batman. They would work anywhere.
