Thank you for giving Tony the attention he deserves while it seems like the rest of the mma community has thrown him into the bin. He really is a legend.
He is the best, I cant see it anyother way!
Tony would absolutely be pissed off that his wifes call to the police in fear of him is easy to find on youtube
who has trown him in the bin?
@@SuperMattiaskarlsson most people did especially after the Gaethje and Oliveira fights. No casual has Tony going into this Chandler fight
CSO🏆💯
Tony truly is once in a lifetime fighter. It's such a shame to see how the MMA community at large has such a short memory span and has thrown all his accomplishments in the trash.
It really is such a great shame.
the majority of the MMA community are idiots. All they look at is what's popular and which records look good.
You think he beats chandler?
cuz the people who claim to be fans are just here for the hype and leave, thats why UFC fighters are calling out the fans for being so shitty like not worrying about the fighter health and well being, making memes of every life struggle they have, and hoping back and forth as fans and shitting on people for a laugh at the detriment of the fighter. These people who put their life and health on the line should have respect from the audience but they dont, and the respect they get is 50/50 fake
too many casual fans, Tony was an animal threw out his entire career. always has been one of my favorite fighters, him and ghaetje's fight was heart breaking. like a changing of of guard, like the old version of the damage machine giving way to the new version of a violence generator. he's an animal but I think ghaethje and Tony need to fight again.
I still remember when the MMA community at large viewed Tony as a contender for P4P most scary fighter and greatest lightweight on the planet despite Khabib being around. It's shocking to see how everyone turned their backs on him.
Guarantee you most of those "fans" just saw he was on a streak and jumped on the wagon. Casual fans like winners and that's about it.
no one turned his back on him, just the new fans that don't know him
I think people realize Tony is getting old, and that's just life.
He submitted the guy that almost beat khabib
Yeah I will always be a Tony Stan, god I hope for a good performance against chandler
Never having khabib vs tony is the most criminal thing we have never experienced as fans
Why Khabib would of destroyed him. You see how he was against Charles and Darisuh
@@chicago1680 i think he talks about tony ferguson in his prime
@@diegon8090 Doesnt change a thing. Khabib just gonna 'Smesh'.
@@wotmast yeah but Tony would’ve forced him to make him bleed first

Tony is the definition of a People’s Champ. Never boring, in or out of the cage. Entertains us with his suffering journey through hell. Unbreakable mentally. If someone deserves a lucky break in life, it’s Tony. He put in the work, blood, and tears.
"De - pipo chan" one of ufcs most honorable titles, coined by yoel romero
the fact that you haven't even been making videos for a year and produce content like this is insane, best of luck to you and this channel
Thanks so much my friend!
Facts
He’s mentally resistant 🙏🏿🙏🏿
Ironically, Tony's attempt to come back from his knee injury in 5 months serves as a cautionary example of the dangers of being too resilient to pain as it affected his athleticism which was a key component of his fighting style. If you watch his performance before the injury and his two fights after you can see that his performance diminished.
Yeah we’ll see if the extended time will help
Do you remember who he fought afterwards. I was thinking it was Pettis but I remember stuff wrong all the time
Ok I’m an idiot. He covers it in the video
@@RobertSmith-le8wp cowboy
Someone get Tony on the Kneesovertoes Guy program… shit is a miracle for knee injuries.
regardless of his last losses, Tony is a one of a kind warrior, and probably one of the most, if not the, truest warrior in fighting today.
Tony gave us great fights when he didn't have to. He never turned down a fight and even fought when everyone was under lockdown. Tony is still the Champ and will forever be the Camp 🏆
That double cut while coming off a knee injury to face Gaethje of all people, what a savage to put himself in that spot
Not only did he get stripped, but he also came back won in an impressive fashion and still got passed over for the title and interim. A true warrior and something tells me he is not done but man I miss seeing his training footage and fights. Such a legend who deserved more marketing and respect.
Dude Tony's whole mentality has been such an inspiration to me since I was a teenager first getting into MMA. It broke my heart to see him flatlined like that last night. I hope he retires and just lives a peaceful life, especially since he'll probably already get CTE as it is.
Tony cracks me up and scares me at the same time. Love that guy.
I wrestled with Tony in high school (different schools but we saw each other at tournaments). To see someone you know rise to the top is an awesome experience but to see their fall is even worse.
where wrestle in MI?
how is it a fall? hes a millionaire
once again you've made me feel something, love, pain, sadness, hope, after all that's the aim right? this unusually set me emotions right off, tony ferguson is my absolute favourite fighter too. watching him lose breaks my heart, but watching him not give a fuck and carry on regardless of how bad it was makes me wanna lead an army in to battle. I am currently dealing with a long term injury that's slowly but surely getting better, its a sort of career ending injury if left unattended, so to me i have no choice but to carry on no matter the cost. i think that is why listening to you talk about martial arts and in particular tony ferguson, has led me to near tears, and also to write this comment right as i got home from work. i already watched your first tony video, and i'm grateful you made another one, first time so nice you had to do it twice. Thank you Mixed Martial Academic
Thanks so much for your awesome comment I love it. With regards to your injury, not sure if you mean career eneder it terms of sport, or literal career, but Im going to assume sport. just over 9 months ago I stress fractured both my tibias from running super high mileage and it was devestating to my life mate, I really feel your pain and the only thing I can say is, if physiotherapy is an option then commit to it fully, and stay postive through it all, I recently did an essay for my degree on sport psychology and injury - it really can not be stated enough that motivation and positivity are key indicators to a successful return to sport. As silly as it sounds, what that means in reality is, every single day work toward recovering your injury - Diet, exercises, and mindset. Really work on meditiation and mental exercises that can make you stronger and more positive. At the end of this my friend you will be more mentally resilient and ready to get back to it! I wish you the best and I feel your pain my man!
@@MixedMartialAcademic yes mate its a sport injury, ive been training MMA for nearly year now, ive always wanted to but never had the balls, now i do. ive fallen in love with it and have actually started to shape my life around it. Now all i want to do is fight, my goal is to become professional and make a living from it. the last 6-7 months ive been training with this injury trying to work around it as best i can, and the key really is to stay positive and keep going simply because there is no other option in my head, as i am no quitter. And actually the whole meditating and diet stuff you mentioned, i am trying to do those things as best i can with the discipline i posses, and so far it's been up and down, recently more so than not as i am finally kicking things in to gear with my progress, but compared to where i was less than a year ago, you wouldn't recognise me. Over weight, out of shape, drinking, smoking you name it. but the reason im doing that stuff is because of the book of 5 rings that i am now on my 2nd read of, and i got that book because of YOUR video, just thought you should know how much you can impact someones life by just making a video about something your passionate about. those stress fractures are no joke holy fuck, if it doesnt break you then it makes you, i am sorry to hear that none the less, im guessing the reason you are able to deliver such a speech about tonys injury and or mental resiliance itself is due to your own personal experience. And that i commend you fully. i will not disclose the injury because you never know who's watching ;) Keep up the videos man they really are a work of art and thankyou for such a lovely reply.
His mentally tough coz of his stable and honest fan base
@@darktruthtelugu2429 that’s is a big factor no doubt, having good honest people around You is amazing for your mental health and mental toughness, it makes you more honest with yourself and accepting, which is a recipe for resilience and perseverance

One of the only times I felt my heart break watching a fight was the Ferguson vs Gaethje interim match. That one was legitimately tough to watch and it's sad to see that he's just not the same anymore.
Glad to see I’m not the only one who admires Tony as a fighter an the way he carries himself
Was confused about a remix but man this is good. Always love learning about my favorite fighter who got me into watching MMA.
Yeah man, CZcams just went ahead a said nope to my previous video, really hurt this channels growth getting age restircted. But upon rewatching it 6 months removed, I was like... man I could do this so much better!
That story from Jeremy is one of my all time favorite MMA training stories. I can imagine the terror and motivation.
This video is a masterpiece, dude.. you nailed it once again. You’re in a league of your own
Thanks so much Juan, I appreicate that and your continued support!
Probably will always be my favorite fighter. Dude has a way of pulling on my heartstrings like very few can, both inside and outside the cage. Forever an inspiration to the highest degree. Thanks for highlighting this so well. I still believe Khabib was only undefeated because he never met the real life Boogieman. Deep down he knew he couldn't break him like he broke everyone else
Khabib will maul him easy
Khabib would win by decision I believe, but he definitely would’ve lost a couple rounds
The fact that Tony was viewed by the fanbase as the only lightweight contender that could topple Khabib speaks volumes to his legacy.
I appreciate the respect and sensitivity you had in addressing his mental health episode. A full picture of his life and struggle can’t be made without addressing this.
Yeah the first time i made this video I left it out, and It kind of ate away at me, becuase in a lot of ways I feel bad bringing it up... but that really makes room for darkness to seep in and taint what the actualy story is!
THANK YOU for reminding me why Tony will always be my favorite fighter. His mental resilience/toughness are that of a legend.
Funny how they're training right now together. I love it!❤😂
Tony is champ in my eye ,i will follow him well after his ufc carrer ,nothing will go in vain ,u inspire me dude u are the reason i belive pain is a figment of imagination
I legit believe he could have hurt Khabib from the bottom and on the feet. He had more of a chance to win than any other, Even more than Conor.
Same, I believe in the later rounds he would've sliced them up.
A lot of high level wrestler will avoid world class jiu jit su in the ground. Cain vs werdum, Gsp vs jake shield, askren vs maia. All of them avoid the ground game because one single mistake your the one who got submitted
It’s too bad. Really wanted to see khabib vs a great jiu jitsu fighter. Crazy we never got to see that
@@downsouth00 A couple years ago this day The fight was canceled for like the third time.
I think if they would have actually fought in like 2015 he stood a good chance but as time went on Khabib got better and better
Great video, thanks again for making this, i love this type of content! Wish you the best with the channel!!! Again i think i said this in the first video but sense Tony was such an inspiration to me i felt really bad for him and it was you who showed me that he doesn't care for it as much as i though so i should not feel bad.
Thanks again my man, glad to see you again mate! Hope you are doing well. You are me both in terms of Tony showing us that loss doesnt have to be a negative!
@@MixedMartialAcademic 🙏 be well
Respect to you for doing Tony the service he richly deserves in your synopsis. He's still my fave UFC fighter of all time and was royally mistreated by the organisation 🙏
Wonderful tribute to one of my favorite fighters, Tony Ferguson. He’s always given us the fans an incredible show - both in and outside the cage. He deserves a lucky break.
This was beautifully made, thank you for the time you’ve put in and for covering the depths of mental health.
Thank so much for the kind comment! I enjoyed making this one!

Thanks brother again for always being here! This video just started poppin off so fingers crossed!
Glad I found this channel. You and Napoleon Blownapart are making some of the best MMA content out there. Appreciate the work you put in your vids man can't wait for the next one.
Thanks so much! He is a great youtuber as well, perhaps one day I'll be up there with him! Glad you enjoyed and I look forward to seeing you in the next!
For me, he is champion and he is up there with the top 3 lightweights of all time... Plus, he is a GOAT for me, interms of Authenticity and being himself... Just what you need!
thank you for this. The people that knows know.. Tony's journey in UFC is both tragic and amazing. he was truly robbed of the legacy that a human of his calibre deserves. Tony's the type of guy to brush the horrible luck and politics that ended up watering down his accolades and career on paper. But the hardcore fight fans who where around for Tony's prime years will always have a massive appreciation and respect for this inspiring athlete. And we should pay the man back by keeping his legacy alive as one of the greatest warriors in history of fighting despite never getting to fulfill the traditional achievements of one.
Thank you for you comments and the support i appreciate it!
I love Ferguson. I'm a 41 year old who's been through my own personal hell. People like Tony give me hope. I love the boogeyman!

I was too young to get a chance to care about tony but this made me feel even more bad for him
Only Tony can motivate me even when he loses. We wont see this in MMA again, once his gone his gone, i always appreciated watching him fight, he did it his way no matter what.
Thank you for your hard work and this beautiful piece on Tony. I hope that he gets a chance to enjoy your work. I'm so happy about Tony's recent interview after his lost to Chandler. He was amazing in that first round. I hope that he can turn things around. Now that he's decided to join a team, that gives me great hope for him.
Tony is a one of a kind, my favorite fighter ever.
I can't help but to be anything but a huge Tony Ferguson fan!
this is my favourite of all time. I always liked Tony, but the way you make him seem so relatable makes me absolutely love it. The whole thing, from the mystic and terrifying intro straight into the 80s music "its Tony time bitches" - an absolute piece of art. I demand more content from you as a fan of your work already
Thank you for thoughtfully covering his mental health episode. I have had one myself. We are all human and I think we need to have some gritty conversations about mental health in our culture.
Ready for it brotha! I pray you success in everything brotha💙
Good to see you again brother, hope you are well!

Great video, man. Nice to see someone approach the conundrum of Tony Ferguson in a different way than others. I still love Tony, he's one of the few fighters that has that 'wow' factor that makes watching them almost transcendent, amazing, inspiring. I hate the way he's looked in the las few fights, seeing him lose his magic has been truly saddening. Still, he's truly unique, and that period he was that transcendent fighter was beautiful to experience. I'm glad I got to see it. People are acting like he has bean getting beat up since the Justin loss but really only Justin beat him up. The other guys just wrestled him all night. Wait till we see another striker face him. God willing, we will get some Tony Time bitches!
Chandler is definitely gonna throw down with Tony. It’s gonna be beautiful.
Not really, he was a different fighter.
We'll se what happens, but Chandler is kind of the worst match up for him. It doesn't even make much sense.
I love Tony. He's got bigger balls than 99%. Taking the fight against Michael Chandler is something I dont like for him but I respect it.
This is so well done. Keep going friend.
The way you storytell gives it so much justice. Please keep creating 🙏

his mental strength is being able to lie to himself and will himself through the hate he has for where he is in life professionally. Even the strongest person can have moments of self harm or harm to others. Im surprised we dont hear more about his difficulties. He will face a lot more as he ages. Hope he is ok
I cam back and watched his gaethje fight and I was surprised because I remember it being not that competitive but it was actually a really competitive fight until the last moments of the fight. Tony is a beast and I can just feel it that he will be able to make a comeback despite his losses, he's just that type of guy.
