    The control panel on mine was labled "joystick" and I thought it meant i could adjust the angle of the lens. pretty odd choice of naming but I guess it's just a bad translation.

      It isn't something new, this video is 6 years old and still using the same naming convention.. Happy flying!

    Thank you for this, I'm a massive fan of Foxxer FPV kit, run cams and VTX's on all my quads other than my Pico X. Worth noting if you have a 3D printer you can download and print a nice case for the Foxeer OSD control.

    Hi i have a couple of these and i cant get them to show information from the FC but my other camera thats NOT a foxeer is showing all info. Using F405 wse: foxeer is hookeup to camera 1, the other camera is hookedup to camera 2 and vise versa. Only the off brand is showing info. Is there a function in the camera seeting that i missed?
    Btw im new to inav n these FC. Thankx for any suggestions

    Hi there, I am wondering why we fly with relative heavy camera'snext to our fpv camera's. I Thing a gopro session on a 215mm quad is too heavy and to expensive to break. Why not have a home build "split cam" on our fpv gear. I thing the quality of the FPV cam is often quite good, so why not use this for DRV. Place a wired DVR in the quad copter, between cam en TX. Maybe something for a painless video in the future?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Před 6 lety

      +PeterP-100 there are lightweight DVR systems put there and I've suggested Vtx and DVR units to a manufacturer or two but non have developed products yet.. sadly..

    Hi Lee! Thanks for the video, it is helpful.
    I was hoping you can help with a related issue I am having with the Foxeer monster micro. I turned of the OSD for a quad I was using the unit on, but have now moved the cam to another quad which needs the OSD feature. the problem is, I can't get the menu to come up when I press and hold the top button. I even tried the factory reset but it did not revert to the original OSD settings.
    Any idea of how to get the OSD menu back after disabling all the OSD features on the camera?
    Thanks and, thanks for the content!

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Před 5 lety

      The OSD shouldn't stop the menu from appearing. I'd ytu another menu, 'joystick'... Best of luck!

      @@Painless360 -It is a bit odd as I tried another brand new micro monster and the OSD was not on, nor could I get it to turn on using the "joystick". I did try other joystick units with no result.
      I then tried a Foxeer micro Arrow, and the OSD on it works. It is really quite odd.
      Just wondering, have you been able to turn off (disable)the OSD on a monster micro, and then turn the OSD back on?
      I will write Foxeer and see if they have any suggestions.
      Thanks for the response, as well as all the great content! 🙂🚁

    Can you buy (or make) the control circuit board for these camera's? I bought a second hand quad and the OSD is switched off. I had a bad connection to the camera earlier and it powered down mid flight and powered back on (was quick luckily), and showed the Foxeer logo on the OSD. So I'm assuming OSD is turned off and there are no other problems.
    How can I get into the camera without the control board?

    I just got this camera and was like... what in the balls is this thing for? I guess this is a cool feature if you are using a board without an OSD, and or goggles that do not have their own image settings. Mine may be a newer version, the board is a lot smaller and it comes with just one cable... but ground is white and signal is black... kinda weird how they do that.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Před 2 lety

      The two wires for the control are not GND and signal but just two wires that carry a changing resistance to the camera for the movement etc. Not all FPV stuff has a flight controller in it that can produce an OSD so having the ability to monitor battery is very handy... Happy flying!

    • @glytch5
      @glytch5 Před 2 lety

      @@Painless360 Right! Like when I first got into this I had a flight controller where the OSD would not read voltage. Would have been handy then.
