I see a lot of people asking about Marvel films. I will break it down for you. When Marvel Studios firsts started Marvel financed the films and had a distribution agreement with Paramount on all Marvel films accept The Incredible Hulk. Universal agreed to give Marvel the rights back to the Hulk films on the agreement they distributed any Hulk Solo films. Disney bought Marvel studios and they did an agreement with Paramount that Disney would finance and distribute all further Marvel films. Paramount would get a distributors credit on all Marvel films up to and including the first Avengers film. After the first Avengers film was released. The deal ended and Disney got the full rights back to distribute all Marvel films accept Hulk Solo films. Universal refused to do a deal with Sony. So any Marvel films that were produced by Marvel Studios after the first Avengers films was released Paramount had nothing to do with.

Paramount were mainly the distributors on some of these films. Which meant they made a small profit on them. The studio that financed the film take the lions share of the profits. For Instance these films were produced by other studios whilst Paramount distributed them.

Indiana Jones films- Lucasfilm
Iron Man 1 and 2 (Paramount actually had the distribution on most of the Marvel films up until Avengers Assemble. Disney distributed Avengers Assemble but Paramount got the distribution profits from the film. The only film that was distributed by another studio under the Marvel Studios banner was "The Incredible Hulk" which was distributed by Universal. - Marvel Studios

Titanic is a special case. The budget was split between Paramount and Fox, $65m of which came from Paramount, $135m from Fox. Paramount distributed in the US, Fox in Europe

It wasn't. They were given a distribution credit on the film. But essentially it is a Disney film. Disney had bought Marvel Studios and as part of the deal to get the distribution rights to the Marvel films. Paramount were credited as Distributors and given a distributors share of the profits. But they were only distributors in name.
