- Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito not only doubled down on blaming his wife for flying an upside-down American flag over their house shortly after the January 6 attack on the Capitol, but reportedly further explained that it was part of a spat with an anti-Trump neighbor. You would have to be very naive to believe Alito's story about the flag being raised by his wife over some neighborhood squabble. Alito is an unethical liar and does not belong on the highest bench.
When a judge on the highest court in the US displays partisanship and then
lies about it, he should be indicted and impeached. Both him and his wife
should be tried under oath, see how fast he refuses. The POTUS has now
2 active judges displaying partisanship. Biden is the president and should
do something about Alito and Thomas.

I think it was more in response to the anti Trump sentiment and swearing on the lawn signs but either way shouldn't be the best go to when it comes to responses at a judge's home. A judge must be impartial and the family should do their best to do the same.

Until we can get a Congress to agree to term limits on judges, or the ability to oust corrupt judges we are stuck with them and their bad decision making. The only way to counter that is for Biden to appoint some judges who will not put politics ahead of the law.

But impeachment of Thomas and Alito for blatant support of an insurrection and refusing to recluse themselves while simultaneously denying the people of the United States a fair and speedy trial for the president that caused J6 with known lies. As a supreme court justice he should have enough common sense to understand this symbolism and bias has implications and more importantly it solidifies most people's opinion that the supreme court is certainly tainted. The reputation of the Supreme Court is in dire trouble. No one has to tell you that. In light of the recent and not so recent revelations of bias with regard to Justices Alito and Thomas, both men should be forced to recuse themselves from any cases which concern Donald Trump. Please have the courage to do the right thing for these United States of America.

I used to chalk up my various disagreements with supreme court rulings as me not fully understanding, I naively had faith in them being impartial/objective etc, but no more. I now see them as ridiculously embarrassing and lacking moral compass and whenever I bump into the words 'supreme court' I instantly equate it to meaning morons.

Unfortunately, the sainted "founding fathers" designed a system whereby Supreme Court justices are in office for life. Who knew 240 years ago that people would one day regularly live past 45 years of age? We need a constitutional amendment to change the justices' terms to 10 years.
